bobbie stick at it! stop biffing. i was like this for ages but this thread kept me on the straight and narrow.

i nibble on aldi bread sticks when i have newborn child urges, works for me. also exercise exercise exercise. if nothing else you can't biff while exercising.

take care and get back in the zone [ossum]

MamaG · 25/05/2010 10:49

can't keep up

hpope everyone ok

am slightly twitter obsessed after hating it for over a year

have biffed a bit, had a bagel for breakfast and there's a wispa in my bag

MamaG · 25/05/2010 10:49

oh God and i haed fish & chips last night

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 10:51

OI MAMAG STEP AWAY FROM THE WISPA YOU BIFFER.

FoghornLeghorn · 25/05/2010 10:53

I went to a BBQ at the weekend and ate only chicken (no other meats), rice salad and normal salad. And drank water all day long.

Got my WW weigh in tonight so fingers crossed.

JACK - Stop biffing - Creme Egg is not good !
Bob - Very disheartening - are you due your period ? Defo recommend lots of water.
Undertone - Stick with the fruit - I am trying to cut back on carbs but what else are you supposed to snack on if all fruit is out ...

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 10:55

My new ploy to stop biffing when I get in from work and kids are in bed and DH isnt home yet is to do the Ossum one's shred. Am such a sweaty horrid mess by the end of it cant be bothered to summon the energy to biff again.

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 10:56

Foghorn - well done for being the zone personified at the BBQ. Good luck for your weigh in.

Undertone · 25/05/2010 11:10

Aitch- here is your chart.

I guessed that your target weight may be 10 stone? If so, then you've lost 20 pounds out of your overall target 36 pounds - or, in other words, you're 56% there!

Undertone · 25/05/2010 11:13

Oo - and I'm nearing the end of the packet of Weetabix, so I won't buy it again if the verdict is that it's not great and it makes you hungry.

But I reeeeeally don't like porridge. Do we reckon museli is the way to go? Bleurgh.

How about Oatibix?!

Aitch · 25/05/2010 11:22

sot boiled egg with butter the way to go in the morn if you're low carbing. YUM
thanks for my chart, ut, although i was going for a more reachable 10 and half stone... lol.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 25/05/2010 11:33

Morning all

CREME EGGS! WISPAS! Have we turned into the Shiney thread? PUT THE CONFECTIONARY DOWN BIFFERS.

Well done Foghorn. You're in the zone.

Very impressed with the exercise Dinks - you must be shrinking fast!

I can't won't give up fruit. That is a STEP TOO FAR.

Holiday deforestation titivating has begun. Eyelashes are dyed and bikini line waxed. I had to take 2 precautionary ibruprofen before having that done. How anyone ever has a brazilian , I'll never know.

Off to weedkill.

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 11:38

Lol at Porridge and her scorched earth policy... Nope not shrinking fast Porridge - just trying to do damage limitation that's all.

Food today so far, after morning circuits class (which as I was the only one to make it turned into a PT session - result!), was yoghurt and porridge and green tea, mid morning snack were mixed berries, off to do short run at lunch time and then to M&S for something (not sure what yet) and then satsumas for snack this afternoon. Evening meal will be beetroot based as have tonnes of the feckers that need using up. Any suggestions?

Aitch · 25/05/2010 12:19

mmmm

CheeeseOnToast · 25/05/2010 12:23

dinks how about a nice roast beetroot salad, with rocket and feta and red onions? You're so good at going to the gym/exercising! you're amazing.

Bobs sorry to hear you're not in the zone. Will imagining wearing the holiday bikini help?

oh and cornsilk how much did you lose on the tomato soup thing? i LOVE that. but I struggle to have it on its own, without a some grated cheddar on top and two rounds of toast

Feeling ok today. Stuck to my resolve at pizza express (although i ate all my garlic bread to myself) and had the chicken salad with the toasted vegetables. Was really nice. And just one glass of wine, even though I could easily have had two. No snacks after I got home.

I also have weetabix for brekkie and find that it fills me up? Not today, admittedly, I ate a yoghurt and a plum at 11:30 today, but I did walk 3 miles into work this morning instead of taking the tube, so think I might have been a bit hungrier than usual.

Not sure about lunch yet, it'll be some kind of salad from somewhere, maybe EAT or pret or somewhere.

Am going to 'body balance' class at gym tonight, no idea what that'll be like. Then will attempt to walk home after, but in reality I'll probably be knackered so maybe I'll get the bus. Then not sure about dinner tonight either. Need to get back into meal planning...

MamaG · 25/05/2010 12:40

have you seen that visitwales advert? I just went on the webiste and stated watching ghat family's film of their hol and I cried a bit seeing hte kids playing.

I am UBER wuss tday

JackBauer · 25/05/2010 13:06

I don't get visitwales adverts. Probably cos I live here...
Soup nearly ready, tomato, red onion, red pepper and basil. smells divine.
fake special k for brek (run out of everything else) and an apple

Creme egg was in sainsbo's. Such a twat. Feel proper remorse.
DD1's best friends mum stopped me at school pick up just now and pulled face and said 'Oh my god how mch have you lost now?! You look awesome!'
Was in my new jeans nad t shirt (size 18!!) so am feeling veyr chuffed.

shred dvd not here yet, humph.

FoghornLeghorn · 25/05/2010 13:09

Yay Jack - that must've felt great

bobbiewickham · 25/05/2010 13:18

Thanks all, you are all fab.

Yes, there's stuff going on here which is definitely contributing to the biffing. But being fat and stressed will be even worse than being thin and stressed, so will struggle back towards the zone.

Scales now telling me I'm 11st 9 1/2. Wish they'd make their fecking minds up.

Have had bran flakes and a bagel with smoked salmon and extra light philly for lunch.

Probably fish and salad for dinner.

And lots of strawberries in between times.

Seriously, thank you all again for your kind words. I love this thread, it's full of nice, funny women

chibi · 25/05/2010 13:20

Hello all

trying to rezone after quarrantine hell

the weather is deffo helping I don't want to eat anything other than salad lol

today
1.5 slices wholewheat toast (breakfast)
thin slice nice ham, 3 eggs scrambled and handful chezza toms (lunch)
lightly smoked salmon fillet + salad (dinner)

i really need to weigh myself BUT bought a size 12 top in new look at the weekend and it is not tight at all

Huzzah

hang in there bobs have you worked out why you're eating?

bobbiewickham · 25/05/2010 13:23

Yeah, I know exactly why and it's not easily fixable.

I just need to work out another response to stress that isn't taking up smoking

And to add to my list of woes I've just trapped my right index finger in the car door.

It farking kills!

chibi · 25/05/2010 13:27

Sorry to hear that bobbie

I hate when you just have to live through it

BudaisintheZONE · 25/05/2010 13:37

Ouch bobbie! You are not having a good time. What about a glass of iced water when you get the urge to biff? Keep a jug of it in the fridge with some slice lemons and limes in.

Hi everyone else. I can't keep up with you all.

Weight is a bit uppy and downey. IYKWIM.

Still haven't managed to exercise. No excuses from tomorrow. Dog back to normal as stitches come out today (if vet remembers to come). DS going on camp tomorrow for 2 nights and DH away too! Will be home alone. Will be hard to resist biffing but I WILL!

Going to ball on Saturday. Really wanted to have lost at least a stone but haven't hit that figure yet.

Hunted out some green tea but it was use by Sept 2007 so I binned it! Taking DS to shop to buy snacks for his camp and will buy some more. Planning lots of walking over next few days to boost metabolism. Feel in bit of a slump. Food I am eating is healthy and am not having any processed carbs but may need to go more hardcore to shift more.

bobbiewickham · 25/05/2010 13:43

Well, chibi, I need to re-read "We're Going On A Bear Hunt".

We can't get under it.
We can't get over it.
We just have to go through it!

WilfShelf · 25/05/2010 14:09

I guess I am back in your zone? I have had protein shake (with strawberries: bad night with toddler) for breakfast; and now having pea and pesto soup (Nigella, natch) for lunch with lavish blob of double cream! Last night had home-made chicken tikka masala (kids had rice, I had with fine green beens: lovely, and DH didn't even complain about my curry mixing powers)

Peas not partic low carb but not bread either... I love this way of eating though: I simply don't feel hungry between meals... Which is a bit of a revelation.

dinkystinky · 25/05/2010 14:25

Am loving the look of that salad Aitch! Will report back on what its like.

Bobs - poor you and your poor hand (ice it and take painkillers and arnica for the bruising/swelling - have done it severak times before). I work in a stressful job and exercise is my stress reliever - well that and nipping on MN. Plenty of people I know from work do yoga or pilates or meditation for stress relief - a couple do singing and playing music - one does stand up comic routines (personally think that would cause more stress but it works for them) - some more do knitting, crochet and sewing - and these are all 20 somethings and 30 somethings. As with everything, its just a case of finding the formula that works for you.

Buda - who knows, with a few days of zoning it and exercise you may well hit your stone mark by then.

Jack - hurrah on the compliment.

Bob - this is for you

We're going on a zone hunt,
we're going to zone it big time,
we're not scared.

Uh oh, a Pret!
We cant go over it.
We cant go under it.
We'll just have to go through it (and ignore all the bifftastic temptations)

What's that?
Two lovely long legs, one trim waist, svelte toned arms and glowing skin.
Hurrah - its the Zone!
