Loose tie on waist ok for short waisted as it sort of drapes if you don't tie it too tight

Coderooo · 24/05/2010 13:12

yy agree cyb

dinkystinky · 24/05/2010 14:04

Went to gym at lunch time for body combat - no A/c in the studio (which is in a basement) so that was a smelly sweaty experience - then no hot water in the showers, so that was a bracing experience. Then no salads in the three prets I went to (clearly invaded by ravening vegetarians) so ended up going for veggie sushi and edamame beans for lunch instead - works out as same WW points as the falafel no bread thing anyway.

Welcome Wilfshelf.

DukesOfTripHazard · 24/05/2010 14:12

BO so pleased you are swishy in your skirt.

I have just put myself right through it.

CAUTIONARY TALE ALERT

Thought it would be excellent idea to put suncream on one end of a wooden coat hanger to coat that bit you can't reach mid-back.

Cack-handed twattery ensued. First attempt ended in scrubbing great globs of the stuff off multiple areas of bedroom carpet. Amount of suncream on back - zilch. Second in swinging hanger back round over-zealously and hawking the tip of it with some heft, straight up my right nostril. Oh. The. agony. Much sobbing, illiberal swearing of the 'Oh you stupid, stupid Jack's DH' kind.

Don't look that fat though

dinkystinky · 24/05/2010 14:50

Lol Dukes - sounds like a charlie chaplin sketch...

SarahFerguson · 24/05/2010 15:52

ha1 Dukes I had that very same dilemma yesterday..dh out. kids out...I thought of asking a kindly neighbour to apply my suncream but then thought better of it.

I spy a gap in the market......

Coderooo · 24/05/2010 15:55

this is what you want

SarahFerguson · 24/05/2010 15:59

Chrivens its Betterware! Simon is my local betterware man

duckyfuzz · 24/05/2010 16:02

hello all, clinging on to the zone by my fingertips

DT1 is doign my head in atm, nothing major, just general lack of any sense, about anything, which I'm sure isn't that odd for a 6yo but DT2 is the complete opposite so it seems much more obvious

welcome wilf and congrat on your success since jan, I need a kickstart to shift at least half a stone before summer, have set myself a goal of MIL's 60th on 20 June, which is ambitious but doable I reckon

dinkystinky · 24/05/2010 16:08

Ducky - kids were definitely sent to try us. Hang on into the zone. You can definitely shift 7lbs by 20 June with concerted zoning.

duckyfuzz · 24/05/2010 16:10

thanks dinky

so far today, muesli, 2 satsumas, 1 apple, some grapes, lots of water, less coffee than normal AND resisted biscuits at a 4 hour meeting now preparing a big salad for tea

DukesOfTripHazard · 24/05/2010 16:11

Help ma boab indeed.

Thanks Cod, bet that would go fantastically manky at warp speed. Would fit in well round here.

Model has terrible, terrible hair. Is there a betterware cut-the-back-of-your-own-hair machine?

DukesOfTripHazard · 24/05/2010 16:12

I too nearly asked a friendly neighbour Cyb! But made her a capucino last week and really think got to stop being less pally

SarahFerguson · 24/05/2010 16:12

I think thats coco modelling that back scrubber . She's fond of the DIY barnet

DukesOfTripHazard · 24/05/2010 16:20

I was going to say that about Coco. Until I remembered she had a fight with Courtney Love

lol at Theo profiteroles.

Ducky dd2 twisted my melon all weekend. Grim isn't it.

I am totally broiled after school run. Don't think I have a mil of pink juices left in me.

Just had a Solero. Medicine. Could have eaten three more.

duckyfuzz · 24/05/2010 16:39

ooooh I have just taken delivery of these lovelies

Undertone · 24/05/2010 16:40

Afternoon all - I can see! (sort of - still a bit blurry). Thanks for all the well-wishes. I hope you lot are ok as well? Welcome to new folk. STOP EATING CRAP.

Went for a run sans contact lenses yesterday - cue much gomer-like staggering and tripping because of potholes 'jumping out of nowhere'. I must have looked pretty special. It was hot hot hot around Crystal Palace park, so my face was approximately the colour of a plum.

Shocking, though - right next to the swings and slides I unmistakeably ran through what smelled like marijuana smoke. I mean it REEKED of it. There were loads of children playing in the area. I couldn't look around without being very obvious, short-sighted and squinty. I did a ridiculous little pantomime of sniffing very loudly and looking sternly and disapprovingly into the middle distance before lumbering away again. That'll teach 'em, eh?

Haven't got on the scales due to fear that convalescence biffing has added AT LEAST half a ton to my wobbling carcass. Few more days of zoning before I will get up the courage.

I've changed from Special K in the mornings to 3 x Weetabix with skimmed milk, as far less sugar, is wholewheat, and overall fewer calories.

I want to cut out the two slices of wholemeal I have as my sandwich at lunch. What do people reckon for a low-carb munch I can make in 30 seconds and bung into a tupperware box? Short of just a packet of cooked meat/chicken?

ALSO (god this is a book) I think the skirt I bought in February to wear to the polo on June 12 isn't going to fit as well as I'd hoped (can do up but looks too tight). I want to do dark blazer/neutral vest top/foofy, flowery skirt/big sunglasses combo

Help me find a flowery skirt EVEN BETTER than this one so I don't feel sad about not fitting into it yet.

I'm off to pretend that my apple is actually a burger.

cocolepew · 24/05/2010 16:44

Undertone you must have looked demented sniffing and running

Special K has as much sugar as frosties apparently
