Tis Protien Thurs chez gherkin. To no avail i fear; was 10st13 today (3lb gain this week - YIKES!). Doing some good eggy farts though.

Looking nice today - even the pupils commented. Ancient pair of sage green DKNY kegs, cunningly rolled at the ankle and hey presto rolledup chinos, black linen blouse (Next in the day when the had some nice stuff) open over white vest, white glads. Nearly worthy of a capsule wardbrobe thread. Shall I start one?

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 17:11

Gherkin - have you MamaG'ed yet? If not, reckon you're carrying excess weight. Outfit sounds nice but what are kegs?

Themasterandmargaritas · 20/05/2010 17:18

Aitch I am at my lovely dress ruined yes ruined by some rubbish photoshopping. I swear they have just dropped some random head in and have you seen her knees?

You, will do it much better justice.

And definitely ditch the ruff.

I've got a free Nitty Gritty off the nit comb people, I'm delighted, that is how sad my life has become.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 20/05/2010 17:32

dinky - trousers. Surely you know that?

True about mamag - I have felt a little - bunged - last 2 days. Here's hoping

chibi · 20/05/2010 17:41

can i have special dispensation to biff a bit today by having a takeaway

i have been housebound for 3 days now with fever-y baby and toddler

have left the house only to put pooey nappies in the bin

disrupted sleep etc

baby nursing like a newborn

am going quietly fucknutty (threatened to pion a penis to my lapel on another thread - long story)

please please please

it won't be too OTT just some snacky stuff from m+s

Aitch · 20/05/2010 17:53

but then i speak as someone who has just eaten five thorntons chocs and a can of ginger beer. last day of period.

weird how so many 'occasion' dresses are black, isn't it? you'd have to be very thin and glam not to look like a wannabe death eater at a wedding imo.

chibi · 20/05/2010 17:55

thank you

i will rezone over the weekend promise

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 18:18

gherkin - drink loads of water too. Outfit sounds nice.

TMAM - agreed it is a shocking shot of that dress. Wonder did they get whoever does the M&S photos to do it?

chibi - dispensation granted. Poor you. Sounds horrid.

I have been very good today. Hoping for a loss tomorrow.

B'fast - granola, dried cranberries and crushed nuts!
Snack - 2 oatcakes with peanut butter
Lunch - soup and chicken
Snack - kiwifruit
Dinner - a huge bowl of salad - rocket, cherry toms, cucumber, red pepper, red onion, avocado, chicken, a few cashew nuts and pumpkin seeds - dressed with olive oil and balsamic. Twas very yummy.

Wanted something sweet after dinner last night and I had........ a cup of lemon and ginger tea!!! It worked. Will have again tonight.

BudaisintheZONE · 20/05/2010 18:19

Oh - there was a reason I ignored you Aitch. Chocolates. And ginger beer.

cocolepew · 20/05/2010 18:34

yoo hoooo Buda

JackBauer · 20/05/2010 19:07

aw shucks guys. tbf I didn't actually want to eat when i felt most shitty, and didn't exercise.
I was talking to my (lovely, lovely) mum last night and she said something along the lines o f'you are so good sticking to your diet' and I explained that in my eyes it's not a diet, this is how I eat now, so it's not like I can cheat on a diet, I just know that other foods don't agree with me.

DH has come home from work early and looks like death so I have ordered him a dominoes as he won't feel like eating tomorrow so he may as well pig out now. I am going to go for a bath while he has it

I missed the links to a nice pic of that dress os will just

chibi, you have my sympathies, I thank GOD I am not BFIng DD2 anymore!

YoginiBikini · 20/05/2010 19:17

Have fun with your sinning chibi

I'm doing wine again tonight - after nit combing my hair in that paranoid way I have to before going to the hairdressers in the morning. I never have them, just panic that I will be dethroned from the hairdressers chair and thrown into the street with my wet hair, minus the stylish cape and towel.

Am I the only one who worries about this? I can never relax and enjoy Hello or She just in case

disclaimer~I have never once had nits as an adult and my dc do not have them at the moment but have two friends who have experienced the Hairdressers Nit Experience

duckyfuzz · 20/05/2010 19:27

oh dear I've lost track again

zone wise a good week, despite stresses at work, am now rewarding myself with a glass of red and some nuts which according to this are going to help me lose weight

nwo will attempt to catch up on wardrobe shenanigans

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 20:52

Chibi - dispensation definitely granted. Have a glass of wine with that takeaway, nice bath and get ye to bed as soon as you can.

Yogini - I have the hairdresser nit fear. Though to be honest, I have the hairdresser fear full stop. Hate going to them, hate the inane chit chat, hate having my hair washed by a strange teenager with wierd piercings. Ugh.

Thanks Gherkin - had never heard of trousers described as kegs before! Thought they were knickers.. which had me v

JackBauer · 20/05/2010 21:19

Yogi, I have never had Hairdresser nit Fear, but I only got nits as an adult recently so I think you may have just instilled it, thanks for that

Bath, stretch, legs feel almost human, thanks dinky. had some coleslaw and realised I forgot to have tea again I'm not hungry but could go for a slilce of hot buttered toast, what can I have instead?! aaagh!

Gamam · 20/05/2010 21:20

I've been told off by Buda

COCO WAS MEANER

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 21:24

Small bowl of porridge maybe Jack? Or a soup? Or a couple of ryvita with small topping if its something munchable you want?

cyb · 20/05/2010 21:33

Hello children

ned to get back into planning what I am going to eat a bit more. Amd eating standing up in the kitchen too much. Not crap, but not in a regulated siting down manner!

A litle black insect fell out of my hair tonight. just one. dashed to Sainsburys bought Nitty gritty (10 fucking quid) and de loused me and dd. not one bit of evidence of anything else

is this normal oh nitty ones?

dinkystinky · 20/05/2010 21:37

Cyb - could it maybe have just been an insect that flew into your hair by accident? If you've nits, you should be itchy and there should be eggs in there too.

JackBauer · 20/05/2010 22:20

Ooh, I had some of those Belvita breakfast biscuit things. 56 cals each, wholegrain etc etc. I bought them for snacking for breakfast these things they were on offer in sainsbos. and DAMN they are tasty (although that may be my starved tastebuds) but almost hobnobby imo. yum

Not eveyrone is itchy dinky but yes, it could be a fly or other bug. I freaked the other day when I saw somethign crawling in DD2's hair but on closer inspection it was a fly trapped in her frizz

gamam, yeah, but you started it

cyb · 20/05/2010 22:24

well I HAVE been itchy. And scratchy.

And dd was grooming me and saw little white bits which in conjunction with me working with many children riddled with the things, i took to be the nits.

Seems like an awful lot of coincidences for an insect to have flown in...

JackBauer · 20/05/2010 22:27

Ah, well in that case I would say get a different comb.
I can't get a fucking thing out with a nitty gritty but give me a bug busting kit and they fall out like no-one's business
Did you use conditioner? They are grippy buggers and unless you make the hair slippy they won't shift.

cyb · 20/05/2010 22:29

yes to conditioner. i though nitty gritttys were supposed to be the dogs bollocks? It cost a tenner!

JackBauer · 20/05/2010 22:30

Take the nitty shitty back and get these. And it's only 6 quid.

YoginiBikini · 20/05/2010 23:03

Nitty gritty used and put back in place sparkling til my next hairdressers appointment
