lets just pretend that other thread Never Happened.

it must Never Be Mentioned Again.

OP posts:
Themasterandmargaritas · 12/05/2010 10:08

I'm in Kenya The sun is shining as we speak (neglects to mention the 12 hour torrential downpour and leaking roof of yesterday).

I'm getting desperate fishie, perhaps I could manage a pilates class instead. Bummer on waking up an hour earlier, put it down to election hype.

Who the heck is Mary?

dinkystinky · 12/05/2010 10:24

I have fluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu - up all night with smashing headache hot and cold sweats and shivering like no ones business despite umpteen layers. I sympathise with poor Coco - and am calling in sick today too. Am now on the lemsip, echinacea and magic stars diet (but still aiming to stay within points - fortunately lemsip is point free). Sounds like everyone on here is coming down with something.

Aitch - lol at everyone suggesting pg. I feel like that sometimes too pre-bug hitting. Didnt this time. Just felt like a cold was coming on and then bam, evil flu.

Cheesy chops sound yummy TMAM. I agree - no running on a cold. Are you a member of a gym? If desperate for exercise and the symptoms are neck upwards only you could do some gentle exercise on the bike/rower/cross trainer - and I emphasise gentle. Otherwise if symptoms neck down no exercise for you missus - including pilates - or will make you feel even more rubbish.

BudaisintheZONE · 12/05/2010 10:32

Can I ask you fluey people to keeps your bugs to yourselves please?! Sorry you are feeling rubbish though. Get well soon!

DukesOfTripHazard · 12/05/2010 11:16

Get well poorly girls.

Coco still laughing at your scamp, rascal, knobhead exchange with your dd.

This morning I got
DD: Can a lady marry an animal?
Me: No
DD: Is it illegal?
Me: yes.
DD: Even if they dress up?

I am trying to maintain and am seeing the world in a new light. All these women I thought we just slim, are saying no to food a lot.

The scales have fallen from my eyes. Geddit?

BariatricObama · 12/05/2010 12:03

master - oh kenya, how exciting! how do you manage to run in the heat, i wilt in the summer over here!

CheeeseOnToast · 12/05/2010 12:19

master - respect, running in that heat. V impressive.

Felt like I'd done well last night, then DP cooked dinner and he uses about a pound of butter so I only had a small dinner, which was spaghetti with fried haloumi and tomato puree, with grated haloumi and dried mint (tastes MUCH better than it sounds, tis delish but I fear rather calorific). I had a small portion, then some tinned fruit for afters.

Then I got peckish and had a bowl of cereal at about 10pm... bad I know.

Today, weetabix for brek with semi milk, apple for elevensies and I'm planning on going for a walk at lunch, then having a slim fast shake (pre-made, 3 for 2 in Superdrug). These usually fill me up and mean I don't gorge in the afternoon. Well, it's worked before, hopefully it will again.

Then I'm planning on going to gym after work for a run, and probably some weights.

I too thought 'pregnant' when Aitch said about the taste thing...

BudaisintheZONE · 12/05/2010 12:38

Aitch suspiciously absent!

Cheese - your dinner sounds yum. We love haloumi here.

Dukes - yes I geddit! And I know what you mean. I have a skinny friend. She goes on cross trainer EVERY morning at 6am for 30 mins. Whenever we go out for dinner she always has fish and salad. NEVER has pudding unless at dinner at someone's house and even then will only have a few spoonfulls.

Miserable rainy day here. Poor dog not getting a walk unless it dries up a bit later. Bit peed off as planned a long walk with her and was then going to go and do 5K loop too. And cleaner is here so I can't do Wii or anything.

Have just done a bit of wardrobe sorting. Trying on various pairs of jeans and trousers (I have far too many clothes). Discovered a pair of jeans I bought last year from Evans. They were far too tight so I just hung them in wardrobe and forgot them. They are less tight now which is good but I also discovered that one leg is shorter than the other!!!! On the jeans - not me!

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 12/05/2010 14:13

CBA today.

although am, going to dettol thread to stop flu germs coming this way...

Porridge for brek, leftover ratatouille and chicken for lunch. Slice of bread with jam and peanut butter aftr having to physically pull DD's apart when they were rolling on the floor trying to kill each other DH gone to work until 10.

Stuck DVD on to distract them, managed to mortally offend someone on another thread by calling her DH stupid (lucky I deleted 'twat').
Giving up on today, have no idea what to have for tea as wehave no food left and no money...grump grump grump

Dukes, I know what you mean, and then you also notice people who are pemradieting are the ones who take an extra bic saying 'Oh well I shouldn't...'

Buda, how much shorter? Are you sure it isn't you?

Aitch · 12/05/2010 14:22

hah, no not pregnant... post ectopic pgs that is NOT the sort of thing that happens by accident.

mouth is full of ulcers today, that must have been it. and put on, like, 2lb overnight so what's that about?

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 12/05/2010 15:10

Could 2lb be down to 'megabiff' that you spke of?...hmmm?

ulcers are weird though, do you have scurvy?

WHat's the protocl when you think someone is bullshitting about something sensitive to stop being flamed?

Aitch · 12/05/2010 15:18

the protocol is that you link here and let us have a look, of course. that's precisely what these not-even-slightly private threads are for...

bobbiewickham · 12/05/2010 15:52

Hey all.

Sorry to hear the lurgy is stalking the thread. Hope all sufferers are feeling better soon.

Am zoning like a good'un. Went for a coffee with a friend today, and resisted all manner of gorgeous cakes - had oatcakes with philadelphia before I got there.

Have discovered miracle of corn thins dipped in salsa.

Don't know what to have for my dinner. Bored of same old, same old. Open to suggestions...

BudaisintheZONE · 12/05/2010 16:10

No Jack! It is NOT me thank you very much! I measured one leg against the other without me in the jeans!

Aitch - sounds like your immune system needs a boost.

bobbie - am bored with dinners here too. Having fajitas tonight.

Aitch · 12/05/2010 16:13

probably. how do i do that agian? am mainlining rat, obv.

bobbiewickham · 12/05/2010 16:18

Oh, it's a pain, Buda, it really is.

I don't eat meat, dh and dses most certainly do, I'm on a diet, they most certainly aren't...I'm a short order cook these days, it seems.

Gah. Looks like bloody fish again...

BudaisintheZONE · 12/05/2010 16:49

How do you do what? Boost immune system? A decent multivit if you are not already taking one.

bobbie - that would be a pain - cooking different meals. I do a little bit as DS often eats differently to DH and I but I tend to feed him earlier anyway.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 12/05/2010 16:50

Still no idea what to have for tea, girls having fishcakes, chips, beans and peas.
I wil lbe having...um...fruit, probably

Daren't link to thread as I will be flmaed to hell and back for suggesting it, but it is kinda an AIBU by stealth except it isn't AIBU, and someone has got themselves out of a flmaing by 'adding info'

TBH I did it in my first incarnation, posted something incredibly snobbish and when I was flamed for it (and rightly, in hindishgt) I made up some bullshit abotu why I could be snobby in this instance etc etc. And everyone fell for it

Say no more anyway

More important things to do here, have finally found my gcse certs and so have to finish completeing my application for a PGCE course in september as I found there were spaces. Have ot do personal statement, hate hate hate them. Ugh.

dinkystinky · 12/05/2010 16:53

Aitch - I swear by echinacea (you take it when coming down with stuff - boosts immune system but can only take for a week or so at a time) and vit c and zinc supplements. Ulcers -yuck. Maybe there's a bright side and they'll help you keep in the zone.

Good zoning Bobs. Keep up the excellent work. Would prawn stirfry work for you and your meateating menfolk?

DukesOfTripHazard · 12/05/2010 16:59

Yeah I feel huge shudder of ennui at thought of feeding me and them.

Fuckmytea.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 12/05/2010 17:00

corn thins in salsa sounds vile, but well done for zoning, still cba today, don't know what's wrong with me, am in massive grump for some reason.
I feel your pain re the short order cook thing, DD's are both very skinny and need carbs so when DH is working late I cook for them at 5, me when they have gone to bed and then DH at 10 when he gets in.

cyb · 12/05/2010 17:26

I'm making a curry for tea. Ny making I mean cooking the chicken, unscrewing a jatr of Sharwods Saag masala sauce and bunging the whole lot in the oven. brown basmati, naans (a finger pour moi)

BEFORE you all start about how I should be grinding my own spices, don't bother. it ain't gonna happen

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 12/05/2010 17:31

Homemade chilli con carne (its VG) for me and dh - no work cos a freezer meal. Kids are having jacket pots with cheese; mainly cos I have concerns about dd2...went to sch with tummyache this morning (unlike her) then piped up "Did I tell you Harry was sic in class yesterday?" So am keeping her tea bland to minimise Yomming incidents should they occur.

cocolepew · 12/05/2010 17:31

You all have posh dinners (apart from Cyb) I don't even know what haloumi is.

Went to work, I might have to kill someone I work with, she's doing my bap in. It's like working woth a parrot.

Have rookied myself trying to put up a shelfing unit in DDs room.

AND... someone said to me today Ohhh you've lost weight since i last saw you

me: [smug]

her: you're lucky.

Lucky!? Luck has nothing to do with it, we sweat blood and tears and chocolate on this thread.

SuSylvester · 12/05/2010 17:32
