LOL at typo!

Whoops.

It would explain the voice...

bobbiewickham · 11/05/2010 20:06

Hague writes Big Thick History Books.

A Good Thing, imo.

dinkystinky · 11/05/2010 20:13

i have glee on sky plus - think am going to resort to it...

smallishsheep · 11/05/2010 20:15

I love that they have to go and ask permission from the queen to be PM.
Just this once, I would love her to tell one to fuck orf

smallishsheep · 11/05/2010 20:17

Ah poor Sarah looks on the verge of tears.
Nice dress though

NomDePlume · 11/05/2010 20:21

gordy's speech now. I'd be crying like a very indiscreet baby if I were Sarah Brown.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 11/05/2010 20:32

She really is very dignified isn't she, bless her, how many wives have to go out with their husbands when they have, effectively, been sacked?
I'd be pissed and dri=unenly waving my fists at everyone shouting YOU BASTARDS!!

dinkystinky · 11/05/2010 20:34

He's still got his seat though hasnt he - so he's just been demoted from PM rather than sacked? If I were GB or SB, I'd be quite relieved that life for us, and our boys, could return to some semblance of normality for a bit now. GB looks more relaxed than he has done for an awfully long time in giving his goodbye speech.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 11/05/2010 20:38

Oh yes, must be relief not to have to go through all that, but still, I'd be pissed off.

Just had phone call off veyr good mate who has asked invited himself to come and stay this weekend, no probs with that but he is insisting on cooking to give me a night off.
Great! Lovely! What a star! Only...his specialty is jamie oliver's Lasagne...

Does anyone have a recipe? how bad is it? Shall I not eat all day in preperation?

dinkystinky · 11/05/2010 20:41

I have the recipe - it is calorietastic but v yummy. I'd do an extra long run over the weekend and enjoy it if I were you Jack.

cyb · 11/05/2010 20:41

jamies lasagne is divine, we make it all the time. dont eat much during day, have a decent portion and a shedload of salado and enjoy

do not fret

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 11/05/2010 20:56

Do I have benediction? Awesome!
He's so sweet, normally houseguests are just that, I like doing the hostess bit, none of them have ever insisted on cooking a proper meal before, in fact, I think someone made us toast once but thats about it.

What is it with men and lasagne though, On DH's meal cooking night he always does fecking lasagne! Is it the inside version of a bbq?

dinkystinky · 11/05/2010 21:01

Ugh, prolonged early morning wake ups have resulted in me getting a cold. Am off to bed now to try sleep the bugger off.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 11/05/2010 21:29

Oh dear, colds alays make me carb laod, look after yourself, lots of fluids y'hear?

Is everyone stuck in BBC News hell as well then?

cyb · 11/05/2010 21:29

jack my dh does Jamies bolognese, a massive vat of it and I hive half of it orf to make lasagne later in the week

just read mary Portas web chat...i would LOVe to work for her, helping old gals find cool clothes

Aitch · 11/05/2010 21:59

don't know what happened to me today. had mega-biff. weird. have funny taste in mouth, think i'm coming down with something...

cyb · 11/05/2010 22:30

I've just demolished a bowl of cereal...must be something in the air

I blame David Cameron

who's first PM speech I thought was actually rather good, adn VEH unConservative like

BudaisintheZONE · 12/05/2010 06:15

Hi guys.

Rather glad to see the back of old GB to be honest. He royally shafted DH's old boss when he became Chancellor years ago. I remember that when he is promising this that and the other. And when people say he is a man of integrity.

Feeling bloated this morning. Had one and a half digestive biscuits last night.

Aitch - funny taste in mouth? you are not PG are you?

Dinky - hope cold better this morning. Lots of vit C for you.

Jack - enjoy the lasagna! I think men like making lasagna because they can 'build' it. It appeals to that side of them.

OK I am running out of ideas for dinner. All suggestions greatly appreciated. DH not keen on fish except for the salmon I feed him once a week. Doesn't like ratatouille either.

MamaG · 12/05/2010 06:30

rofl at coco's bucket

Aitch - - pg was my first thought too

I agreet hat lasagne is inside BBQ

Buda, recently I have been rotating the same meals, bolognese, I have with veg, they have either pasta bake (basically lasagne but with shapes instead of sheets) or spaghetti, Korma or Thai curry with veg or rice, Meatballs with same.
Stir fries? fajitas? I don't know, I am running out too tbh, started getting suasies adn mash for them and me having something completely different, is pita.
I woke up sneezing this morning, is there a thread cold?!
Ache all over from doing stomach and arm exercises and run, oh well, off to school this am, back forlunch!

cocolepew · 12/05/2010 07:58

I'm knackered up sice 4pm with bloody flushes.

I don't want to go to work [considers throwing sickie]

BariatricObama · 12/05/2010 08:08

this freaky cold weather is not good for the biffing. it is bloody -6 in some parts of northern scotland today. no wonder we are all biffers, we need the insulation

Themasterandmargaritas · 12/05/2010 08:16

that's bloody freezing! It's cold here for us at the moment, 21 degrees

I've got a terrible coldy chest thing so carb loaded yesterday and feel MUCH better today.

But I haven't run since Saturday I'm feeling anxious to get out there and I'm dead excited because I have some new running shoes arriving at the weekend. That is how sad I have become.

We tried cheesy chops the other day, we all loved them. A tiny bit of grated cheese (it's ok it's just a tiny bit) with a teaspoon of mustard and milk, mix it up. Grill one side then add cheese mix on other side and grill.

BariatricObama · 12/05/2010 08:28

boasty boasty! where are you?

fishie · 12/05/2010 08:36

m&m no running with a cough. i did that and ended up bedridden for a fortnight.

pilates last night, run tonight. no lighter, no heavier. jamies lasagne sounds just what is needed, bloody freezing.

got up at 5.15am by mistake thinking it was 6.15. all dressed and made up before i realised so no back to bed.

cyb what a good idea, i had not thought of working in mary's shop, more shopping in it.
