Meant to say lovely news re scan reshape v happy for you

Aitch · 11/05/2010 13:20

i do use olive oil, plenty of it, although perhaps not gallons. nowt wrong with olive oil... although i don't do the aubs in them for v long, cos of the soaking up thing. just a quick move around the pan last thing then lid on to steam them for a few mins in garlicky peppery juices, then toms and then simmer.

funnily enough if you've ever seen the SW books, all the ingredients for rat are on their super slimming veg list, because they're comparatively low in carbs.

BudaisintheZONE · 11/05/2010 13:21

hi all.

Reshape - fantastic news. Very pleased for you.

Jack - thanks!

10K runner - wow you athlete! I was chuffed with myself after walking 5k on Saturday!!! I would love to run it though. Have dodgy knees but once I have lost some more weight I may give running a go.

Took DS back to hosp for check up on his finger this morning. What a morning. He worked himself up into a real state. Terrified of seeing people with horrible injuries. I told him he wouldn't, that it would all be people in for check ups like him. Apparently first thing he saw was a boy his age who had had his arm amputated at some stage!!!! I didn't see it so have no idea if true! Traffic was a nightmare. I wasn't sure where I was going. Couldn't find parking and eventually found a space and ended up walking completely in the wrong direction and got lost. Nightmare.

Anyway - healing fine but splint still on. Back in 2 weeks for another check. BUT he has been told NO sport for 4 weeks. And his class go away on a 2 night camp in 2 weeks. So he says there is no point in going. Poor thing.

After all the drama a took him to MacDonalds for lunch on way back. Would have done drive thru but I was desperate for loo. For lunch I had........ grilled chicken salad and a cappuchino! Am still hungry but can have something sensible in a few minutes.

Need to figure out what to have for dinner now. Any suggestions???

Dinky - how is the 18 point day going?

CheeeseOnToast · 11/05/2010 14:22

I went to the gym at lunch! Was sorely tempted not to but I made myself and am so glad I did. I ran 3km in 20 mins! Bought some 'pick n mix' salad bits on way back into office: hard boiled egg, seeds, brown rice cooked with nuts and few spices, cucumber, tomato and lettuce. And some aubergine thing which might have been ratatat. Have a fruit salad for when I get peckish later... all in all, definitely a zone day!

Oh and the job's going well, thanks to whoever it was that asked (can't remember)

BariatricObama · 11/05/2010 14:23

hi all. well done on 10k cheese.

running is great!

MamaGlee · 11/05/2010 14:26

hi all

GREAT new reshape

I'm diong DH's tax reurn for last year

dinkystinky · 11/05/2010 14:33

Ugh, tax returns. I hate them. Good luck with that MamaG.

Buda - stuck to 18 points yesterday. Currently on 13 points so far for today so hopefully should stick to them today too. Dinner tonight will be reduced fat sausages (work out a 1.5 points a sausage) and broccoli as DH is out. And an early night as DS2 had me up from 4 this morning. Yawn.

dinkystinky · 11/05/2010 14:35

Oh - and well done for zoning it in McDs! Poor DS - that's so annoying about no sport for another 4 weeks. Still tell him at least he's avoiding a life long disfigurement this way ala Dinky. My guitar playing was never the same again after my little finger breakage and not properly healing too so if he's musical its well worth listening to the doctors!

BudaisintheZONE · 11/05/2010 15:06

Ooh. Good one dinky! He plays drums and did guitar for a year but talks about wanting to do it again.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 11/05/2010 15:50

Well done all.

Dh got back from work early so just did a 2.5 mile run, felt rubbihs, like I was coasting it, but was still a minute faster than last time..so quite chuffed.

Chicken Korma for tea, laters, losers.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 11/05/2010 16:12

Really good news Reshape. Had 2 mcs myself so am especially pleased for you.

Mama - is that tax return, like numbers?

Have been fairly zoney today - exercised and been good with food. You're right Dinky. I just have to keep the bikini moment in mind. But am still [envy} of the trainer. I need shouting at to exercise, or at least some gentle encouragement. I know you feel better having done it but I would rather spend that time doing something I enjoy!

Well done on all the running everyone.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 11/05/2010 16:18

great news reshape. Bless it's little heart. Aw.

Well losers, feeling pretty zoned today. Gotta start running again, have decided. I swim at the mo (x2 weekly) but running does cheer me up once I am going. And have Race for Life in June so could do with getting in training so I don't completely shame myself.

cyb · 11/05/2010 16:21

Aw, our first thread baby!

We must have a huge biff out on the day it is born and toast with champers to wet the babies head.

OMG David Cameron is going to be PM

whats going on

i go to work and the whole world has changed by the time I get back

ZONED it big time today. Falafel and salado for lunchio. Might make a curry for tea if dh hadn't insisted on putting every single bit of food bought at Asda into the freezer

cyb · 11/05/2010 16:32
