As far as friends feelign threatened by your weight loss, it goes with the territory. I have had friends be very off with me since losing weight, and it is because they see that I have done it when they haven't iyswim (Blimey, doesn't that sound boastful. But you know what I mean.) My being successful highlights their failure. I had a friend I started the diet with. She dropped out v early on but maintained the facade of being on a diet, despite it being horribly obvious that she wasn't. She went through a stage of really hating my success, and trying desperately to sabotage it
I realise just how much of eating I am duty bound to do as well. I met a friend yesterday who insisted e went out for breakfast and then lunch not 2 hours later. I wasn't hungry either time, but ordered toast and felt I had to eat it. It made me feel weird tbh. I ordered lunch but picked at it. She has put on a lot of weight this year too, and I can see that she must eat quit ea lot (my, don't I sound a bitch.) I'm just trying to say that I have realised just how much I filled myself with shite before. Now I am in the zone I don't see why I should eat just to make other people feel less bad if they want to. But I didn't feel I could say no. I've no doubt if I had refused I would have been on the recieving end of a skinny bitch comment. I go back to my earlier comment : nothing lucky about it, fatso, just put that bun down.
