Aitch - you are SO IN THE ZONE.

PortBlackandRat · 10/05/2010 21:49

Aitch that is amazing (and gives me hope)...

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 10/05/2010 21:49

OOh, aldi do frozen roasted veg (aubergine, courgette, pepper) that you can stir fry in a few minutes and it is yum, add some chopped toms and it is yum nearly instant ratatouille!

Don't mention the weight off, buda is winning, but I will get her!!!

dinkystinky · 10/05/2010 21:51

Port - what is your booze of choice? If wine, you can switch to lower cal versions (like light wine , vodka or gin and diet tonic, champagne) - amazing how many calories you can cut from your consumption that way. Have imposed a 2 week booze ban on myself to kickstart weight loss going in right direction again.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 10/05/2010 21:53

Passport forms DONE
Reports - 7 to go but am fed up of creatively saying yeah s/he's a good kid but talks too blardy much, ok? so going to bed.
Headache - still Hellish
Pack or mini-choc digestives - Empty

Go on, y'all, Beat me up. I deserve.

fishie · 10/05/2010 21:53

for me the trick is to get a day to day maintenance intake, then occasionally to do a bit of a starve to get down. thus do i dwindle and not fatten. bloody slow going this time though, running does make me hungry [eats a fourth pickled beetroot]

fishie · 10/05/2010 21:54

gherkin i think you might be thirsty again.

PortBlackandRat · 10/05/2010 21:55

thanks Dinky (and for the lowdown) - wine and G&T are my downfall. Interestingly as i drink most days i think a total booze ban would really be interesting for me. To see how much i lose in say, a week.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 10/05/2010 21:58

You see fishie, I might be but I have drunk 2pints water and 2 cuppas since pm. If I drink any more i'll float away, surely?

Think I am just a Greedy Biffer.

pointydog · 10/05/2010 22:00

oh lordy, you doing reports too, gherkin. It's a head-crusher. I have got Chatty Class of the Century.

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 10/05/2010 22:02

Me too pointy, they are bright and actually loads of fun. But they never shut up.

Off to bed fatsos. See youse.

Aitch · 10/05/2010 22:35

aw, thank you cyb, that compliment has pleased me inordinately. and yes totally doable portblack, really. someone pointed out to me the other day that i am really just doing a slightly slaggy version of the slimming world red days, tbh.

CheeeseOnToast · 10/05/2010 22:46

has anyone heard about or done the 'one day on, one day off' diet? Premise being that if you are craving something, you can pacify yourself by thinking you can have it tomorrow, but by then the craving has passed. And keeps metabolism on its toes? What do we think?

Those who eat ratatouille do you get it tinned? which is the best?

Oh and welcome blackport

Aitch · 10/05/2010 22:49

tinned?

i make it myself. it's just a lush stew of olive oil, garlic, aubs, courgettes (although i often give them a miss as nothing worse than a bad courgette), mushrooms, tinned toms and red peppers blackened on the flame. truly a doddle.

VoulezVouzCrochezAvecJACK · 10/05/2010 22:58

Aitch, you are such a food snob!

Not heard about that Cheese but I can see the logic. Worked for my MIL jam craving anyway!

Aitch · 10/05/2010 23:15

do you think? i#ve never thought of myself as a food snob. i'm quite pleased. i didn't actually know you could get ratatat in tins, lol.

MamaGlee · 11/05/2010 06:21

I think you'er a rat snob atich

JACK I can't believ that bitch at playgroup. Jealous much? Fat fucker.

MamaGlee · 11/05/2010 06:22

I've just had two (two!) slices fo WHTIE bread with butter and coc spread [shame]

God that "MamaG likes to play up the class" brings back flashbacks

one teacher said to my mum and grandma "this a very high spirited class and MamaG is usually teh ringleader"

BudaisintheZONE · 11/05/2010 07:12

Morning!!!!

Right - scales are behaving again. Am now 15 st 13!!!! yay!

Welcome Portblack! You have had loads of good advice but your comment about the lack of mollycoddling rang a bell with me. I am the same. The threads where you admit to a sneaky muffin or something and everyone is all understanding and says tomorrow is another day etc. are useless for me. I need butt kicking! I need to feel the fear!

Jack - re weight off - I may have gotten under the 16 stone first but you have lost loads more than me. And in a shorter space of time. No fair!

My school report was always Buda has the ability but needs to work harder. Very apt here!

Oh Jack - what a cow that playgroup woman was! you will have the last laugh!

MamaGlee - glad to see you are recognisable again!

Well babyshower is still on but I totally forgot I have to take DS to hosp for check on his broken finger. Doc said around 11 is best time but that won't give me enough time to get to restaurant. So not sure yet if i will get there.

SuSylvester · 11/05/2010 07:15

i am so sick of food
it hasnt made me happy ( wel maybe mums meringue roulad)
am desp to rediet

MamaGlee · 11/05/2010 07:15

well stop bloody biffing then

BudaisintheZONE · 11/05/2010 07:39

Yes. Get rid of all the leftovers that are tempting you and start again. But don't stress too much. You are at target. It was a birthday weekend. Today is only Tuesday. You can't have gained too much but maybe all teh sugar and stuff is making you feel shit. So cut it out again. Simples!

cocolepew · 11/05/2010 08:01

Morning folks, welcome newb.

I like being the poster girl and I've forgiven Jack because she gave me a star (and I didn't spend all night scratching my foof) Jack fatfuckbitch is sooooooo jealous.

cocolepew · 11/05/2010 08:03

There should have been a comma after jack, I'm not calling you fatfuckbitch, obviously.

MamaGlee · 11/05/2010 08:20
