Get this, houmous more cals per 100g than goats cheese or philly. I think. Surprising?

cocolepew · 07/05/2010 16:43

BO we really should be sympathetic to poor ole Pete

I had a teeny corner of homemade lemon and lime drizzle cake today and it tasted funny Last time I had 3 pieces of it.

I've got new taste buds

JackBauerIsZonerrific · 07/05/2010 16:44

Oh BO, that's hard, let the kids stuff their faces though.

You lot ARE farking pussies though.
I am a former biffer, woudl eat bread, biscuits, cakes, choc all that jazz.

In the last 3 weeks I have had
NO bread
NO biscuits
ONE bar of chocolate which wasn't that nice.
2 mini fairycakes.

And I have bought bics, sausage rolls and cakes for the girls.

If I can do it, you can do it, you big girls.

BudaisintheZONE · 07/05/2010 17:09

Jack - ok - I understand. I would not want to give that up either! But you have a plan and you are doing well at exercising anyway.

I haven't exercised at all today. Poor dog didn't get a walk even. Met a friend for coffee in the only time that I could have walked. I did just have coffee and water. No naughtiness passed my lips!

BO - respect. Will you be able to resist them? They sound fab.

BariatricObama · 07/05/2010 17:13

coco - no sympathy, he is shithead.

so far 4 muffins forced down various gullets, none of which belong to me.

su leaving the thread has focused me. i too want to be hungry for a month!

CheeeseOnToast · 07/05/2010 17:22

I remember once Liz Hurley saying that every single night she went to bed hungry. At the time I thought how ridiculous but I am seeing that is why she's thin and I'm not.

Don't beat me, pointy! I had given up biscuits and had done a supreme job but then DP went all moany about not having 'decent' food. All vegetables and stuff. So the biscuits arrived, and my scales soared skyward. Damn him!

I'll just have to eat the rest

the shiney lot have copied our thread title

where some lead, others will follow.....arf

pointydog · 07/05/2010 17:49

I rasied the issue of houmus recently (not sure which thread) and someone pointed out to me that the only thing that made those dry chick peas so tasty was oil so no surprise really re cals.

That poster was right. Hasn't stopped me buying houmus for part of my friday night tea, though.

And sains morrocan houmus is so delish I have had it for tea two nights already this week.

Just don't have much else.

cocolepew · 07/05/2010 17:51

They snog a lot on that thread

And people keep telling me I look tired and drawn (bastards) including DH. I am tired through the joy of having a hot flush every night at 4 o'clock but I'm losing weight from my hamster face Make it stop!

CybilLiberty · 07/05/2010 17:51

coco I know what you mean about having new taste buds...I think I've actually got a new BRAIN. I just dont think about food in the same way...in fact I dont think about food AT ALL anymore whereas before It was on my mind A LOT, 'I want to eat that..if only I hadn't eaten that '

I think we are all fabulous

pointydog · 07/05/2010 17:53

I needed to lose weight from my face. My hanging chin was seriously getting on my tits

cocolepew · 07/05/2010 17:54

Yes we are.

I was eyeing up Double Deckers in the Spar this morning, but then thought meh.

Greedy sods I work with are v impressed.

smallishsheep · 07/05/2010 17:56

Ah, the face issue. I keep getitng told I look tired. It's because I am tired and no doubt the fat was plumping up my bags nicely before.
My face was one of the first places to show weight loss for me. But looking back at fat pictures makes me realise just how horrifically swollen I looked. It looked like a water balloon filled to bursting

cocolepew · 07/05/2010 17:58

Nooooo I look old if I lose weigh here, I'm getting lines [gasp]

pointydog · 07/05/2010 18:01

I don't think I look older on the face. Not yet anyway.

Still no fucker has noticed my weight loss.

DukesOfTripHazard · 07/05/2010 18:02

We are even more fabulous after two splendid glasses of red warrrrrrn!

I am doing venn diagram cooking (passim - is that what you say?) and drinking and listening to mum's tales of her 3 window last front window boxes getting nicked last night. Have to say did lol as she had one nicked before "The morning of June 27th to be precise, that's what I todl the police. Oh, June hasn't happened yet".

DukesOfTripHazard · 07/05/2010 18:03

Hah ha ha!

so far 4 muffins forced down various gullets, none of which belong to me.

BariatricObama · 07/05/2010 18:04

the day i take advice from liz hurley is the day i wear a see through sari with no bra.

smallishsheep · 07/05/2010 18:05

Take heart pointy, it took four fecking stone before anyone noticed my weight loss. I like to think people are either too embarassed to say, or really that people are pretty unobservant. Four fecking stone though. Then at another stone down, the 'o my, you mustn't lose any more' brigade piped up. Ho hum.

pointydog · 07/05/2010 18:09

lol @ 4 stone sheep.

And I am totally unobservant so, to be, fair, someone would have had to have lost 1st+ for me ot notice

vintage · 07/05/2010 18:13

sorry to but in is it ok if i join.? ive lost 2 stone + and people are just starting to notice a crowd of teachers gathered round me at ds school last week and it was like the Spanish inquisition everyone asking questions eying me from top to bottom as i still have a ways to go yet i was embaressed and pleased too

pointydog · 07/05/2010 18:16

good on ya, vintage

chibi · 07/05/2010 18:20

helllooo losers

hurray for all of you who are at goal weight

i did not weigh myself today

i will do it tomoz

i have no scale, i do it in my local Boots, i enjoy the frisson of passersby bearing witness to my biffage

yy to pointy about no one noticing, i have lost a stone from my max weight, and am more toned from all the damned running and no one has said bloody anything

glad the election is over, i feel much less doom-y

chibi · 07/05/2010 18:21

yes good show vintage and welcome

bobbiewickham · 07/05/2010 18:27

Well, I've just had a lightbulb moment, then.

Need to lay off the humous, obviously.

What am I going to have for lunch instead? Philadelphia light on oatcakes? Would that be okay?
