I am going to have tofu for dinner - thanks Miggsie.

HAd dukan bread with my pate which was alright. DD 21mths likes it!

Sassy43 · 14/06/2010 14:36

Are you allowed to eat Muller Light raspberry and cranberry yoghurt on the Dukan Diet ? - it is fruit flavoured, but has no Fruit bits so I am confused, but I love these yoghurts !!

bratnav · 14/06/2010 20:16

You can have 2 fat free fruit yoghurts every day, unlimited plain yoghurts HTH

I put on 1lb over the weekend, not sure how as I am still on strict attack phase, but back down again this morning

Going to stay on attack until this weekend as it's DSs christening and the in-laws are very snap happy My dress for Sunday looks sooo much better on now

woahthere · 15/06/2010 14:16

Hello everyone, Ive decided to give this diet a go, am off on my hols in 6 weeks and when I tries my cossie on I had big rolls of flab hanging out the leg holes....euuurgh! I feel gross! I am 13 stone!!! Dukan doctor says I should be 10.11 which means I have 2.3 to lose (although personally I would like to lose more) I am on day 2 and have eaten nothing but chicken, salmon and yoghurt, drank loads and been drinking green tea (barf, but its meant to speed up your metabolism)Are weight watchers yoghurts ok to eat, they are low fat, 49 cals each and lemon ones are yummy. (Also bogof at coop at mo!) Has anyone ever managed to not lose weight on this? Guarantee it would be me! Also did anyone read that guys blog doing dukan who says asparagus made him lose even more on pv days...sounds good! i love asparagus! To all of you that have lost loads so far, how good do you feel...do you look massively different and feel brilliant about yourselves?! I dont lose weight easily so the idea of losing 6lbs in a week is just unbelievable to me, have tried atkins but i felt so ill on it...too much fat i think

Lotkinsgonecurly · 15/06/2010 14:39

I've just been away on a family trip this weekend with DH's extended family and so many photo's taken. I was so big I almost didn't recognise myself

Am now on day 2 of attack phase, just had smoked mackerel and cottage cheese for lunch. Will weigh myself at the end of the week to see what happening.

Think am going to do protein only during this week and at the weekend add in vegetables. Then probably do protein only during next week again.

woahthere · 15/06/2010 18:03

We're both on day 2 then lotkins! How are you feeling? I am going to do at least 5 days of attack...thats my minimum, and then I'll see how I feel to keep going. We can compare notes on how we doing.

Lotkinsgonecurly · 15/06/2010 22:03

Thats a good idea woahthere. Today, I feel ok. I had scrambled eggs and fish for dinner, it was smoked haddock. Am not going to do that again, I can still taste it now!

Showmeheaven · 15/06/2010 23:39

woahthere I too find it extremely hard to lose weight (years of yoyo dieting) but I lost 5lbs on my first week of doing this!

I don't know about the lemon WW yoghurts, they sound yummy, can anyone else confirm if they are allowed ??? I have been eating Activia Fat Free Vanilla yoghurts which are also yummy, but a change would be nice. Someone said to watch the sugar content of some yoghurts but I reckon WW ones should be low on sugar like Activia ....?

I am on my 2nd week now and still enjoying it. It takes away your appetite big time, its like being on appetite suppressants

uggmum · 16/06/2010 08:02

Had a good week, have now lost 26.5 pounds in total.

MarshaBrady · 16/06/2010 10:21

wow uggmum well done!

woahthere · 16/06/2010 10:51

oo yeah lotkins, smoked haddock does tend to repeat rather doesnt it. I weighed myself this morning...feeling very hopeful and guess what..i have lost precisiely nothing! Grrr...
Yesterday I ate, 4 ww yoghurts, 2 eggs, 1/2 pack smoked salmon, chicken cooked in stock and curry poder with onions. I drank more water than I have ever drank before and as a result was dreaming about needing a wee all night! I did a 30 minute davina work out and yesterday was a busy day for me in terms of walking everywhere. I feel pretty good though and not feeling bothered about carbs that much which is why I really hope this works. Someone give me hope, why have I not lost weight?! Maybe I am buggering it up with the ww yogs but they dont do 0% activias at my local shop...

Showmeheaven · 16/06/2010 11:06

woahthere I personally wouldn't have 4 yoghurts per day, not sure if this is affecting your weight loss but perhaps its worth trying to cut it down to 1 or 2 per day. Also, don't add too many onions to your food, they are to be used as garnish only. Otherwise you food intake sounds fine, you should lose on that.

woahthere · 16/06/2010 11:40

Righto, will cut down on the yogs. I hadnt been having any on the first day and then I read that it was ok on this thread! Poo, havent had any today, it was only yesterday I had 4 because I thought I was allowed. Yesterday is the only day I had onions as well and it was only a little bit in with my chicken, but I must admit I didnt realsise they were for a garnish. Im so jealous of uggmum and think she must have masses of willpower.
What do you do if you have an event coming up and you know there will be wine available. I dont mean on the attack phase but during cruise (which will last a long time for me) are you really not going to drink at all. I just cant imagine going out with my friends and not ahving a drink. Do you let yourselves a day off and tehn go on attack again to make up for it?

Sassy43 · 16/06/2010 12:50

Well today is my day 3 and I have ost 3lb already - so am really cuffed with that (only 29 to go).

I have been eating 3 - 4 yoghurts a day - muller light ones as well.

My only problem is that I cant seem to go to the loo - but I really need to !!
Am going t ogo and buy some dulcoease, unless anyone can tell me a more natural method.

i am eating the oat bran, and drinking loads of water, and decaffeinated coffee - I didnt expect this to happen so quickly.

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/06/2010 12:59

Sassy - I have the same problem. Try Fibresure, it is a powder you can put in any drink, and it keeps you regular. Cost about £3 from Asda.

I had a chicken burger, salad and a packet of refreshers (!) for dinner yesterday. Some boiled eggs for lunch and chicken for breakfast. Not even bothered about food now.

Will weigh myself for sure at the weekend, however I am not too fussed about my weight, just about not looking like the michelen man in all my summer clothes. Oh, and being able to do up teh bloody zips on said summer clothes.

woahthere · 16/06/2010 13:34

i havent had any oat bran yet as i cant get into town nad thats the only place i can get it from...will this help me lose weight or is it just to keep regular?
hrrumph at everyone losing 3/4 pounds in first few days, i mean im happy for you like but not happy for me. from what i can tell there is a lot more calories in a muller lite than in a ww yog and there is no fat in them.

Lotkinsgonecurly · 16/06/2010 18:22

I've had an okay day today. Really need to get my lunches sorted on a protein only day. Am still in the attack phase but planning to add veg in at the weekend.

Off out tonight but will only drink fizzy water or diet coke (and slowly!).

Not found any oat bran yet, will try and get some tomorrow. Things are a bit bunged up!

Are you allowed red meat? Really got to have mince tonight as that's all we have in the freezer!

itstimmytime · 16/06/2010 21:55

Red meat fine as long as it's low fat. Low fat protein, low fat/fat free dairy and oatbran is what attack/pp is all about.

I find lunches the most difficult and often slip up with a bit of veg on pp days - prob because my fridge is always stocked with tasty protein, but not so easy with my job as out and about 2/3rds of time and rarely in office for lunch. Have done well today, and am going for another two pp days Thurs and Fri to make up for earlier in week (again). Does anyone else have this prob - sometimes protein/dairy is soooo boring?

woahthere · 16/06/2010 21:57

Is drinking squash ok?

itstimmytime · 16/06/2010 22:03

Sugar free prob fine if it's the only way to drink enough water (altho it's full of sweeteners).

woahthere · 17/06/2010 13:22

I am on day 4 and have lost 1 lb only, this is not normal is it. I have stuck rigidly to it. Got myself some oatbran today so will see if that does anything, will keep going as long as I can on attack and just hope to see some results!

cornishrex · 17/06/2010 13:38

Woahthere, If its any consolation at all, I've been on the diet now for 10 days and I'm currently half a pound lighter than when I started .... I've even been a pound or two higher that my starting weight at times. Very depressing. No cheating; no alcohol; lots of water; aeobics/step/body pump 4 times a week - no change. Was on attack for 5 days; now cruise, aiming for 3 days on PP 3 days on PV.

Some people think it may be my pre-period period causing alot of water retention which is offsetting weightloss; or constipation; or thyroid problems.

Either way, my body is strongly resisting this diet. I'm going to keep going another week to post period to see if I suddenly lose a slug of water weight; amy also try rhubarb to try the constipation possibility (recommended by Dukan online).

So its not everyone who loses loads of weight immediately. I think it depends on your body weight / type and your body's resistance to weight loss.

sara1265 · 17/06/2010 21:02

Just found this thread...thank goodness!! I started the diet on Monday..its now Thursday and I am only one pound lighter!? Sticking to it rigidly so dont know whats going wrong!!

bratnav · 17/06/2010 22:51

Sara, it takes a couple of days to kick in really. I only lost 2-3lbs over the first week, now 12 days in and 9lbs off

cornishrex · 17/06/2010 22:57

well if you start losing weight, come back and post. I'm trying to find stories of people like us who simply don't respond to the attack phase for a week or so, and then suddenly weight loss kicks in.

Its great to hear about people like uggmum who are losing loads of weight and started losing immediately, but what would spur me on would be to find other people like me, who came back and said don't worry, it really kicked in after * weeks, I had the same problem initially .... haven't found that yet. People tend to drift off if they don't have a big success (or big disaster) story to tell.
