Quite possibly ZoneA - though as said earlier the bugger keeps losing weight on me while I'm on WW rather than me (both my mum and his keep accusing me of not feeding him) so I'm not complaining if he eats them. He's one of those annoying tall slim buggers who doesnt put on weight and loses it easily. Grr...

Hurrah for the arse checking out. Do you remember being at school and doing the boob growing exercises and saying I must I must I must increase my bust? As I was on the treadmill today I kept hearing in my head I got I got I gotta to reduce my bott...

CheeeseOnToast · 16/04/2010 20:35

Ok well I had the kiev, and it was nice. But not amazing. When I was young I'm sure there were things called Mini Kievs, little golf ball sized ones? My kiev hardly had any garlic goodness in the middle, but it hadn't oozed out there just wasn't much. Bit of a let down TBH. but the chicken and coating were nice.

So I had one of those and then a salad which although varied in its ingredients was still reasonable of portion.

Lots of water now for dessert.

Did no one like my birkies link?

Coco, maybe the insane woman was just hungry? You know when sometimes you're so ravenous you would chew the head off the person in front of you at the checkout while you waited to pay for your goodies? Maybe she was having a BDD (Bad Diet Day)

bobbiewickham · 16/04/2010 20:38

Oh, mini kievs...used to have them with new potatoes and peas.

A completely spherical dinner.

Needed a snooker cue to eat it rather than a knife and fork.

dinkystinky · 16/04/2010 20:39

OOh I remember mimi kievs Cheeese! They were great...

cocolepew · 16/04/2010 20:41

bobbie I hope you're keeping hydrated? My 2 DDs were really dehyrated with the bug.

One glass of water a pop the weight will magically appear back again.

ZoneArmatrading · 16/04/2010 20:54

LOL at completely spherical dinner/snooker cue.

I don't think she was impressed by my butt. She was just having a right good look thinking she wasn't being observed. She was probably thinking I hope that woman who seems confused by her own keys is on the way to the gym.

ZoneArmatrading · 16/04/2010 20:55

Thought the birkies looked nice. quite minimal. The frameless shower enclosures of the birkie world.

Am going to watch whatever's on Dave with DH. Usually QI isn't it? Can watch their weight go up and down.

CheeeseOnToast · 16/04/2010 21:01

ZoneA they've just had a 'best of' style QI thing on BBC1, v funny. I love David Mitchell, he just said something hilarious about wouldn't it be brilliant if only atheists went to the afterlife. Then all the Christians would be dead and all the atheists would be pissed off as they were wrong all along.

Sean Lock is good too.

Right, Embarrassing Bodies, that's guaranteed to put me off any snacks.

CheeeseOnToast · 16/04/2010 21:07

er, just thought, sorry if that David Mitchell thing offended anyone

dinkystinky · 16/04/2010 21:10

didnt offend me cheese - am a hindu As some comic said, we were v smug when BSE hit...

CheeeseOnToast · 16/04/2010 21:21

lol

AitchTwoZone · 16/04/2010 21:28

i want to come back as a hindhu...

so, one pound off from last week, but that includes remoing spectacular three-pound post-wedding bloat, so am not unhappy.

although today i had a scone and jam and may slightly have over-snacked on some nuts. m&s roasted mixed nuts, have you tried them? unbelievably lovely.

dinkystinky · 16/04/2010 21:31

M&S - they are the divvil in disguise (to channel Cyb)...

AitchTwoZone · 16/04/2010 21:34

well for me they're not soooo bad as am low carbing. they're not great, but they're not a scone and jam.

well done all the losers, btw! bravo! and aren't you all looking just that bit better in the sunshine?

bobbiewickham · 16/04/2010 21:42

I'm drinking herbal tea like it's going out of fashion. DS2 is looking after me beautifully. He just brought me some breadsticks (more beige food) and a peppermint tea.

He ran me a bath earlier and put towels in the bathroom and everything.

He's ten next week. I do love him

bobbiewickham · 16/04/2010 21:44

I liked the birkies, too.

Feeling the need for some clogs, but I know I won't be able to walk in them.

Dandy - use it back at her. Not v mature but is working well with "poo-poo" DS1....

Bobbie your DS2 sounds so sweet - your future DIL is going to LOVE you...

bobbiewickham · 16/04/2010 21:53

pmsl at 'silly old goat' and 'stupid lady'.

She sounds utterly fantastic!

He is lovely, actually...I don't know quite how, but he is

bobbiewickham · 16/04/2010 21:55

He is amazing, dinky. DS1 is completely lazy domestically challenged, but DS2 is a natural nurturer. He puts washing on, feeds animals, hoovers, cooks, all completely unprompted.

I want him to stay at home with me. I'm going to set the dogs on any potential partners.

dd is only four but quite happy to tell me that i'm a stupid mummy when i'm not doing what she wants. i wait for dh to read the riot act as he's no disciplinarian so she knows the shit has hit the fan when he kicks off.

MmeLindt · 16/04/2010 21:59

Where are the birkies? cannot find link.

DH and I are childfree tonight and he is asleep on the couch while I MN.

Not going to tell you what I had for dinner tonight.

Are there two MNetters on this thread with family members stranded in Geneva? Or am I confused.

Ann
How is your DB and family getting on?

dinkystinky · 16/04/2010 22:00

I said it, I KNOW I said it - Poo poo is the start of the slippery slope! DS1 is quite a sensitive soul - when he calls me a silly poo poo I call him that back and he gets very upset, bless. Can already tell that DS2 is going to be made of sterner stuff and a whole new set of rules are going to apply to him... silly old goat or silly young kid sound good

Bobbie - I want BOTH my boys to stay with me forever and a day. I will be the MIL from hell am sure - no girl is ever going to be good enough for my beautiful boys. Your DS2 is brilliant though - bet he's going to score one of those really brilliant really funny really slim and cool girlfriends as soon as he hits 16...
