Oh no poor you reshape . I'm sure you will have a lovely time with ds instead.

Mags is a perfect name. Sweet.

I am HUNGRY, all the time and it's all your fault you lot. Ayah is in the kitchen cooking chips and burgers for the 27 7 dc playing in my house today and the smell is driving me insane.

ZOOOONNNNNEEEEEE

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 15/04/2010 10:47

How shitty Reshape. Plan something really cool in Bruges.

dinkystinky · 15/04/2010 11:01

Reshape - sorry about your spain trip, but hey look on the bright side, that volcano is keeping you in the zone. Kinda drastic measures to stay in the zone but hey ho, the volcano gods are on your side in the long run. Ensure DH is well primed on what to buy you from duty free.

Coco - stay in the zone today and i KNOW you'll have a loss on your scales tomorrow. Takes a couple of days for scales to discover you're in the zone (unless they are su's evil scales...)

Master - get out of smelling range of the kitchen and go do something (preferably out of the range of wild animals or children). Did you go for that job in the end?

Crosswords - am a city lawyer and my tip to avoid biscuits in meeting is to sit as far away as possible from them with a huge bottle of water in meetings - the downside is I'm always bursting for the loo half way through a big negotiation). Agree sandwiches are harder - they tend to be minging though so I tend to go for one and some fruit anda diet soda and then eat something worth eating later on...

ZoneA - DH does a nice tilapia dish - you cook it as su does then hide it under a salsa made of red onion, mango, line juice and red pepper - tis delish..

ZoneArmatrading · 15/04/2010 12:12

Dinky wasn't me with the talipia. Was reduced in Tesco today but fish fail put me off.

Reshape so sorry about your holiday.
MdmeLindt sorry about your jeans. Not 'so' sorry to distginguish between conscious act of biffing vs natural disaster thwarting plans.

Bobbie thanks i will read dress thread now.

Have borderline crazed energy today. No work. No kids. Am going to start flinging stuff out of loft before DHoarder can see what's up there.

dinkystinky · 15/04/2010 12:17

See - this is why you lot chatting is too much for my poor frazzled brain to compute. Meant to say Crosswords DH does a nice tilapia dish. Meant to say something to you too ZoneA but can not remember what it was

MmeLindt - Lol at your jeans story. Hope you get back into your pre-biffing jeans soon.

Am going to the gym at lunch time today (see a tidal wave of work heading in my direction so may be my last chance for a while) and am determined will attempt running on the treadmill... ipod.. check... running shoes.. check... ear phones... check... if you dont hear from me again today it will be because my body has gone into shock at being made to run...

bobbiewickham · 15/04/2010 12:25

I liked tilapia.

I did it in the aga in olive oil and lemon juice, there were loads of juices in the pan.
I had it with asparagus and salad, and poured the juices all over everything.

Was delish, like meaty plaice.

ZoneArmatrading · 15/04/2010 12:35

Bobbie have just posted on your dress thread. Soo funny.

dinkystinky · 15/04/2010 15:33

Grr, having psyched myself up for a run at lunchtime a client called so had to work instead. Maybe will try to do a run over the weekend instead then...

cyb · 15/04/2010 16:08

cool. just been to dentist for wisdom tooth filling (urk) He said my teeth looked 100% cleaner since I have started using electric toothbrush.

Why did my old dentist never tell me how shit my teeth were?

What comeback does one have for shoddy dentistry?

OP posts:
gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 15/04/2010 16:59

I made a lemon sucking face with my mouth when I read about wisdom tooth filling cyb. Yowsers. As for comeback - no idea.
Everyone needs to concentrate and wish (a la Peter Pan - "I do believe in gherkin being under 11st fairies) tomorrow. Or I might take a bread-knife and saw off my right tit.

CheeeseOnToast · 15/04/2010 17:00

Hi everyone

ooh Gerkin exciting about the kitten! I love kittens, I miss my cats.

Reshape shame about your weekend away. Its no consolation but DP was flying this morning too, his was one of the first out of Heathrow at about 6am and they took off ok, hadn't even heard anything about it until I emailed him. I was worrying that his plane would be in the air and the huge cloud of ash was coming towards the plane causing the engines to fail. Luckily he landed ok though (in Italy), and escaped the misery - how awful for you and so many others.

Been pretty zone-ish today, one wholegrain toast with a poached egg for brekkie, tea. lunch was a M&S hot smoked salmon nicoise salad, which was gorgeous and 335 cals. Then I troughed a pot of fruit, melon and grapes, thinking i was being all virtuous, then read on the underside of the box that half the box was 310 cals! and I ate all of it. Feel cheated. I've eaten almost 1000 cals just for lunch, with salad and fruit.

How many cals does that leave me for dinner!? Should I just have dust and be done with it?!

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 15/04/2010 17:04

have a look under the bed Cheese. Marjorie Dawes says hairballs are free

CheeeseOnToast · 15/04/2010 17:08

ooh excellent. Dust for main, hairballs for pudding.

Perhaps I could get away with just a tin of soup? 180 calories? I need to get back on Food Focus and see how many calories i should be allowing myself.

Everyone set for W-Day tomorrow?

cocolepew · 15/04/2010 17:20

What a bummer Reshape

Dinky I love you you always say nice things to me

I was at the Drs last night, after a chat she asked me if I thought I'd put on weight (I've never met her before) I said a bit but I thought I would have lost it quicker when DD was at her worst because I ate nothing. I was eating about 500 cals a day. I lost a stone but thought the weight would have dropped off me (this wasn't my intention bTw I couldn't face food). She said I didn't because I had too much adrenaline , due to sress. Just though I'd share

But I don't care if I'm a biffer, I just got an email and Blondie are coming to Belfast! [squeals]

MamaGlee · 15/04/2010 17:38

oh fuck its weigh day tomorrow isn't it

luckily I've beeni n zone

cocolepew · 15/04/2010 17:51

Anyone that hasn't lost anything can just say "oh it's the adrenaline" and nod knowingly.

cocolepew · 15/04/2010 17:52

pointydog · 15/04/2010 17:54

MamaGlee · 15/04/2010 17:58

philips sonicare

my teeth feel hugely clean

my (dentist!) sister swears by tgem

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 15/04/2010 18:00

Yes to electric toothbrushes.

Don't do it gherkers! If I did that it would make no diff - would probably have to be buttocks.

Have I missed the dance off?

Aitch - remind me again - what beans are best for your mash?

Nice kitten name btw.

pointydog · 15/04/2010 18:00

cocolepew · 15/04/2010 18:00

4 all together.

pointydog · 15/04/2010 18:01
