It is not much fun having to shop in those ranges all teh time though. Very limiting.

Style advice question while we are onj subject. I am a size 22 on bottom, 24 on top because of apple shape. Stomach is a whole size bigger than rest of me. Legs are slim though. Can i do leggings and long - knee length or almost - tops?? I did it in all black for a party just before Xmas. DH looked at me oddly but he has NO idea of fashion. A good friend came over at party and said I looked fab in leggings but I am not sure. People are usually amazed at how slim my legs are compared to my barrel mid section.

Buda - the broc recipe is not a recipe as such - I just steamed some broc and then put it in a bowl wit some garlic and chili I had heated and I'd added some soy and grated ginger. I let the broc rest there a few mins, and that was it.
Su/MrsShu - I had a massive tilapia fail tonight. There were only two filets left at Waitrose tonight and i got really excited thinking cod loves this, epic dinner for me! I just meed to fry it up, squoose some lemon, bobs my uncle. I improvised with some garlic and lemon zest in the olive oil to fry it in. It wasnt nice, not at all. I am no good with improv, I think.
I ate a big bag of cashews cos of the hunger resulting from the not nice tilapia. Can i blame su?

MamaGlee · 14/04/2010 22:37

yes blame her

she should refund you

CrossWords · 14/04/2010 22:40

For the tilapia? Twas only £2.40 for two filets. Bogging tho. The cashews were more, can I claim them?

Dinkystinky I am lawyer in the City too. Big fail for me is meetings. There are biscuits and sandwich lunches. The biscuits I am fine with saying no to - i find the meeting sandwiches harder, cos everyone is looking at you if you decline, thinking (or even saying) well what are you going to have then? Sonetimes we push the boat out and have sushi in meetings. It is (boak) warm. But at least not bread and mayo and cheese/tuno/etc.

AitchTwoZone · 14/04/2010 22:47

if you're a city lawyer can't you just PAY SOMEONE to lose weight for you?

CrossWords · 14/04/2010 22:52

Ah if you're a good one, I think. I am pretty mediocre. Always dreamed of your job, tbh

AitchTwoZone · 14/04/2010 23:10

what, typing? ach, i'm in a dying industry, you wouldn't want it.

CrossWords · 14/04/2010 23:24

Paywalls aren't the way forward then?

AitchTwoZone · 14/04/2010 23:34

fingers crossed... if anyone can do it, it's uncle rupe.

CrossWords · 14/04/2010 23:43

I do think he knows what hes on about with that. Why the hell should it be free online when folks are paying for the paper? I think its a really good thing for the likes of Caitlin, I only worry that it will become journo-names based, and only Caitlin and Marina Hyde are left.

AitchTwoZone · 14/04/2010 23:47

i worry more that it will be celeb names based. journos not a problem imo.

MrsShu · 15/04/2010 01:52

lol at fish fail
wonder why - was it you who had it before?

i need to tell you champagnesupernova is NOT doing well.

cocolepew · 15/04/2010 08:05

After dinner last night I had NOTHING do you hear me su? NOTHING!

Weighted myself this morning and what have I lost?

That's right NOTHING.

Fuckity fuck it.

ZoneArmatrading · 15/04/2010 08:13

I love all the V flicking. Mamaglee the dancing is
LOL brilliant. Bobbiewickham would love to read your dress thread but can't find it.

As someone who can't do high heels, I love the potential of the mid heel 70s housefrau look. Think you just have to channel groovy tv like The History Man rather than Butterflies.

ZoneArmatrading · 15/04/2010 08:16

Hello coco. That is sad.

I am hopeful for tomorrow. I was definitely calorie deprived bitchy yesterday afternoon/evening which is a good sign

cyb · 15/04/2010 08:22

I have been antiZone since going to PILs in Germany.

Schweinebraten mit Klosse

Rouladen
Kassler with Kartoffelsalat

Brötchen

Desperately need to get Zoned.

Not one but TWO pairs of jeans split last week. I had to go and buy a new pair of jeans, hiding my fat arse that was hanging out of my split jeans with a well tied cardi around my waist.

Excruciating.

isthatporridgeinyourzone · 15/04/2010 08:37

Which one of those is chips?

ReshapeWhileDamp · 15/04/2010 08:39

Arse feckity bugger.

I was meant to be on my way to Heathrow by now, for a flight to Spain.

I hate arsing volcanoes.

BudaisintheZONE · 15/04/2010 08:47

Arising volcanoes? Where? Onway to Heathrow?

ReshapeWhileDamp · 15/04/2010 08:49

No, it's in Iceland. Apparently a once-in-a-liftime combination of high plume of ash and the right wind conditions have grounded most flights out of the UK. Don't know when they'll resume and since I was only going out for 3 nights, it looks unlikely I'll be going.

geordieminx · 15/04/2010 08:50

Tis a bit mental... all the scottish airports closed too

geordieminx · 15/04/2010 08:52

It just said on news that some fights to southern europe are taking off from London?
