Anyone else doing 30 day shred?

I heard lots about it and got the dvd. I'm on day 2 and can feel my muscles aching!
I'm trying to combine it with a diet too.

Is anyone else doing this/thinking of doing it?

Hi

Just finished day 2 of level 1, its so hard, did I say that already, am watching level 2 to see what am in for in 8 days time. am dreaming of day 30 lol

thanks

3Happy · 31/05/2010 19:20

Just checking in before this falls off my threads I'm on list!
Got to day 5 level 2, but didn't have time sunday which I didn't mind, but then never got around to doing it today which is annoying. Don't want to lose momentum, so will try v hard to do it tomorrow - and as it is forecast to p*ss it down all day I'm sure I should manage!

Joby1970 · 01/06/2010 08:29

lol Skimummy on getting down into plank in John Lewis

Skimummy · 01/06/2010 08:57

Ugh, Level 3...hate to say it Jillian but I felt like I phoned it in a bit this morning. I was sore! Had to follow Anita in parts...feel very slack.

GettinTrimmer I have a range of weights! At the moment I am using 2kg mainly but switched to 1kg this morning for some exercises as I wasn't feeling quite up to scratch. I am a weakling .

Joby1970 - I had to make sure I could do the exercise properly!!

3Happy · 01/06/2010 10:50

will someone please tell dd that she needs to a) go to sleep and b) sleep in the crib not on my lap, in order for me to get shredding?! Gah.

Nolda · 01/06/2010 11:49

Baby3Happy! Yes, I mean you. Go to sleep! Your mummy needs to shred. Look it's only 20 minutes, into your lovely crib you go.

3Happy Your post last night made me get on and shred. I was at exactly the same stage as you with the same long weekend scenario. How old is your DD who should be sleeping? My DS is napping too but I suspect he is a lot older (he is 18 mths). I've got 13 more days left of shredding, can't wait to finish.

Tortoise · 01/06/2010 12:08

Haven't shredded for a couple of days Will try and fit a shred in later between episodes of Britain's got Talent!

3Happy · 01/06/2010 18:33

Thank you for the sleep vibes Nolda - she's 3.5m. She did sleep in the crib, but unfortunately only for about 10 minutes, so had to stop and go get her, then jiggled around in front of her for the rest of it Not the most effective work out in the world I shall never lose the belly

Day 22 day 3 of WO 3. Finally got around to it tonight. Struggled still but glad i did it. Just 7 days and i will have done 30 days!

mummytotwins · 01/06/2010 23:50

Hello all!!! everyone is still doing great I see!

well done Tortoise only 7 days to go, you will feel so pleased when you get there!!!

I need to get back on this! I have only done it once since I completed it last week.

Think if I squeeze it in tonight before bed I can start my 30 days again now and be done again by the end of June.

mummytotwins · 02/06/2010 00:36

and Im back on it!

Day 1 Level 1 completed

Joby1970 · 02/06/2010 08:08

mummyto twins - how does it feel this time round?

notyummy · 02/06/2010 08:17

Tortoise - well done!!

Mummytotwins -= Good for you for starting again. I have noticed that if I dont do it for a while and then restart, my legs suffer a bit. How are yours?

Skimummy · 02/06/2010 09:30

OK, managed day 4 of level 3 this morning but had to switch down to the modified version of some exercises as I am too sore to do the proper versions (walking push-ups and plank arm and leg raises). I really felt like I was all over the place on the jumping lunges as well. Oh well, will push on. 6 days to go!

I think I am going to keep doing this every day though, switching between levels. Just doing 20 minutes of dedicated exercise (I walk alot as well) is very invigorating and I don't want to stop.

Now, do you think I could get away with curling up under my desk for some sleep?

GettinTrimmer · 02/06/2010 17:03

Day 1 level 2, and my arms feel like jelly. It was so hard. After doing level 1 I was then doing 1/2 hour of aerobics (Davina) but no way could I do that today.

mummytotwins - well done at starting again.

mummytotwins · 03/06/2010 00:09

Thanks for the encouragement again ladies, day 2 level 1 done, it feels a little easier this time, last time I couldnt do the jumping jacks/skipping rope cardio bit all the way through but now I can. So far too my knees dont ache either, I thought last time it might have been all the jumping jacks so maybe it was my body creaking into gear!!!

Well don everyone else doing it, we can do it because as Jillian would say 'cause we strong!' x

Nolda · 03/06/2010 11:22

Skimummy which weights did you buy in John Lewis was it these weights? I've just realised that I'm not going to be able to use the ones I've got for Level 3.

Nolda · 03/06/2010 11:29

3Happy I'm impressed you can manage these exercises so soon after giving birth. I'm struggling with my pelvic floor and DS is 18 mths!

Only one more day of Level 2 for me and today was the first time I managed all the plank twists at the end. Also today I weigh the least I have weighed since I had children .

LostGirl · 03/06/2010 12:22

Congratulations Nolda

Skimummy · 03/06/2010 12:50

Hello all!

I slept in this morning and have not done the shred today...yet. Feel very guilty so will be doing it tonight after work.

Nolda - yes, those are the weights I bought. They work well for Level 3. The other ones I have (cheapies from Decathlon) were no good unfortunately.

Great to see everyone is doing well. Well done on the weight loss Nolda. Last night I wore a pair of jeans that were tight before I had DD...and are now loose .

ShinyAndNew · 03/06/2010 16:24

Finally started. Done day 1 level 1. I highly doubt that I will be ready for level 2 in just 10 days???

Oh and I must remember to tighten my sports bra for tomorrows session

LostGirl · 03/06/2010 17:30

I know what you mean Shiny, I fell out the bottom of mine

Skimummy · 04/06/2010 13:23

OK, did the Shred last night...and this morning...that was not wise. We are going away for the weekend so have optimistically packed the DVD but probably won't be back on until Monday. May be a good thing as I seem to have done something to my shoulder that precludes full push-ups. Level 3 is still a struggle for me...I can see this 30 day thing being repeated for quite some time yet!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine .

Tortoise · 04/06/2010 21:30

Missed the last 2 days.
But day 23 done today. Really struggled to keep going. Heat doesn't help. Even the ceiling fan being on didn't help much. Still not sure if i should battle on with WO 3 or go back to 1 or 2.

notyummy · 04/06/2010 21:53

Don't go back Tortoise! The heat does make things hard. I did levels 1 & 2 back to back again today, which I have done quite a few times, but I found it harder in the heat.
