I Cat you Su. Very rambley.

small pair of jeans in my drawer. I hold them up against myself once in a while. Will hate them in the end!

Distinct lack of photos of me as a lard ass.

NomDePlume · 06/04/2010 15:01

I went through a 18m phase of drinking peppermint tea but the only downside was that it stained my teeth a bit, which wasn't so nice.

I do like a slice of orange in hot water though, not lemon, too acidic. Refreshing.

I'm on medication that makes some sweet things taste vile (which is lucky) but it doesn't work with everything. I think I need some sort of CBT so that I associate the fatty, crappy food with tasting like something vile, dog poo or something. Perhaps go with aversion therapy or something. Keep a pot of cat poo and sniff it whenever offered cake etc.

dinkystinky · 06/04/2010 15:03

Nom - you can pull it back. Do some veggie soup for your dinner (see su's recipe on earlier thread) and let DH and the kids have the biryani - and you can have your portion tomorrow (day old biryani always tastes better anyway in my experience). Draw a line under your coconut cake experiences and get guzzling water.

Am making myself drink at least half a litre of water between eating things today - is working well. So far have had porridge and yoghurt with skinny latte for breakfast, litre of water, couple of satsumas, half litre of water, carrot sticks and most of a litre of water, short killer step class (I am so malcordinated when it comes to moving up and down a bloody step its embarrassing but am sure the shame helped burn a few extra calories) and tonnes of water then a count on us prawn wrap with a boring salad of beetroot and sweetcorn on the side - guess what I'm drinking now Downside is am trotting off to the loo every 5 seconds but hey, is probably good to have the extra walking around that involves too.

NomDePlume · 06/04/2010 15:09

That's the horrible thing yogini. I HATE having my pic taken, fatty or thinny. Always have. There are very, very few pics of me in existence, I am not one of those people who has endless pics of themselves (prob why I'm not on facebook etc). DH had a pop at me when we went on this weekend to London about not having photo's with DD. My freakyness about photos really gets his goat.I love taking them but am never in them!

So I went ahead and did the pics then ended up regretting it .

AitchTwoZone · 06/04/2010 15:10

i recommend fennel and nettle tea, aids in weight loss apparently, and is a diuretic. anyway, tastes nice in a satifsyingly vegetabley way.

NomDePlume · 06/04/2010 15:13

Yes, I have been rubbish on the water side of things. I should drink more, kidney stones is another side effect of my medication so I should be drinking it for more reasons than it filling you up a bit. Will go and have a pint now.

Good advice re veg soup. Maybe I'll give it a whirl.

LOL @ stepclass shame burning up extra cals

Good tip Aitch - peppermint tea also good one to have.

BariatricObama · 06/04/2010 15:23

i made cake for dd's friends party. dd delightfully announced it was disgusting and she didn't want any, i think dd was born in the zone.

su, thanks for the tips i can feel the zone crumbling a bit round the edges! generally been zoning it today but nibbled at chocolate for the cake.
