bobbiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:08

Dispatch from The Zone!

Took kids to cinema today - NO pic and mix, NO popcorn, NO ice cream - NOWT.

Then took them out for lunch. They chose McDonald's.

NOT ONE CHIP.

I had a cup of tea.

I can do this!

Came home and had prawn and rocket salad, -too- -many-
corn thins and some hummous.

bobbiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:08

Strike out didn't work.

But who cares?

Am in The Zone....

SuSylvester · 07/04/2010 14:09

badge for perseverance in maccy ds

did you look snooty?

cocolepew · 07/04/2010 14:11

I don't trust people who go to McDs and only order a black coffe, I bet they go home and shove muffins down their hole.

Apart from you boobie, obviously. From now on I'll look to see if they have The Zone look.

cocolepew · 07/04/2010 14:12

Opps bobbie. Sorry

bobbiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:15

LOL at Boobie!

Oh the irony

Yes, I looked around myself and I judged. I judged my own children, I was that judgey.

dinkystinky · 07/04/2010 14:15

well done Bobbie - you are the zone personified!

Su - think they found that if you have some soup before a meal you consume less calories over all during the meal in some study or other. Regardless, soup is a good nourishing meal which helps keep your water intake up.

cyb · 07/04/2010 14:16

right you are boobie from now on

bobbiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:17

Thanks dinky

bobbiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:17

Am I?

Fantastic!

Will namechange, hang on....

cocolepew · 07/04/2010 14:17

You'll always be boobie in my heart. I wanted a McDs but didn't want to take DD after her majestic vomiting. Bloody spoilsport kids.

CheeeseOnToast · 07/04/2010 14:18

my scales arrived yesterday so I weighed myself this morn after loo and I was 9st3.6 which isn't too bad.

Three hours later, after lots and lots of D&V (sorry) and I'm now 9st2! Could well be dehydration as I've only managed two sips of water and I have the stomach cramps from hell but there must be a silver lining somewhere.

DP has indeed stopped being an arse. After the fourth vom he came in to look after me.

All these healthy lunches sound good everyone. Keep it up!!

boobiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:19

Suit me?

Oh, Cheeese, that sounds bad. Hope you better soon.

CheeeseOnToast · 07/04/2010 14:20

Oh and if I ate a dodgy oyster on Monday night would I have known straight away? Or could it have taken a few days to get me? Trying to establish cause of agony

cocolepew · 07/04/2010 14:20

Poor cheese.

You know who's name I've always loved?

Googie Withers. Googie! Fab.

boobiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:21

Think food poisoning strikes within 4 hours of dodgy nosh, no?

boobiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:22

Googie Withers puts me in mind of something that happens to dh after too much beer.

Just saying.

boobiewickham · 07/04/2010 14:23

There was an old actress called Chili Bouchee.

I've spelled that wrong, but you get the drift.

Cool name.

dinkystinky · 07/04/2010 14:24

My fave all time name was Snuffy Walden (bloke who did music for the west wing I think) - DH rather unfairly vetoed snuffy as a name suggestion for DS2...

gherkinwithapurplemerkin · 07/04/2010 14:50

Hey all. Poor ol cheese, get better soon.
What did you see at cinema, boobie? Was it How to tame your dragon? we went yest (and our kids also had macs and I did not (halo)) Dragon film ACE. You must ALL go and see it. Amazing.
