she is reluctant.
i am making her - tis her birthday soon.

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2010 18:02

Actually even the title is all about DENIAL

if you think all you're doing is denying, it's impossible to sustain. That's why diets collapse imo

Me. I'm all about the lemon juice, and jumping with joy about the tomatoes and positively giddy about the fish

SuSylvester · 09/03/2010 18:04

i think its a matter of getting out of bad toast related habits.
realising you were eating fewere veg
oh 100 i thought oyud be funny.
not all earnesy

cyb · 09/03/2010 18:04

when was I all about what I wasn't having? I'm having fish pie for tea m'lud

the defence rests

Also FWIW I can't tell anymore when I've had enough to eat. I am rarely hungry either as I trough on and off throughout the day.

So despite Su's abject bossiness this is a good lesson for me in how 'normal' people eat

cyb · 09/03/2010 18:05

And I don't care if I collapse a bit after and of April. Just want to feel a bit loose in me trews.

duckyfuzz · 09/03/2010 18:05

mmmm I loved my rocket watercress and spinach salad it was yum

I enjoyed the small portion of lasagne I had a lunchtime

I'm glad I didn't have any of the stinky haagen daz I forced on my poor DTs

am I getting there?

SuSylvester · 09/03/2010 18:05

moodlum · 09/03/2010 18:08

oh yes
but i think this one might actually work - not go on for decades!

JeremyVile · 09/03/2010 18:44

Cockles! With vinegar!

JeremyVile · 09/03/2010 18:45

Am in Atkins stupor. Cockles are the only thing I can enthuse about.

And I do, I do!

ahundredtimes · 09/03/2010 18:46

Funny! I can't be funny about it. I'm earnestly squeezing lemons and counting out seeds pretending I'm not in denial about denial

SuSylvester · 09/03/2010 18:46

really?
had a long chat with woman at till today/
she has lost 5 stone. was amazing. took her a year.
imagine having THAT much to lose..

JeremyVile · 09/03/2010 18:49

I can never understand the whole denial thing.
Like when someone says if you want it, eat it. But in moderation.
Well thats the problem, I dont want it in moderation.
Or when you're not supposed to call it a diet. But it is. Thats the point

SuSylvester · 09/03/2010 18:50

lol looked at dhs large portion of our supper last night
i said" i could easily walk over there and wrench that from your grip and eat the lot"
he said he would stab me with the fork first

champagnesupernova · 09/03/2010 18:54

ugh
my dh eats like a bird
someone who LIKES moderation
Not like greedypants me.

cyb · 09/03/2010 19:02

well I ate my mouses portion of fish pie. It was vile. Kids hated it too.

But all is not lost as I have resisted the lure of the school staffroom biscuit barrell ALL day, resisted the handmade cream filled chocolate roulade that the bursar presented at breaktime, and if you knew HALF of the willpower it takes me to resist such things you would indeed be proud

I imagined a sweeping swell of classical music as I typed that

duckyfuzz · 09/03/2010 19:28

I now have an image of cyb running from the choc roulade accompanied by the chariots of fire theme

BariatricObama · 09/03/2010 19:32

dh stopped drinking, crisps, chocolate and now everyone says how marvelous he looks. i stopped drinking, don't really eat crisps and stay the sodding same. bring on the deprivation i say
