Sad - may I ask?
Are you constantly losing and regaining the same 10lb or whatever?
Just asking because you speak as though this is a routine thing for you.

Chicken/olive/caper pasta (ahem) apple and grapes
Delicious water and 4 cups tea

1 hour of the lovely Davina (would rather chew own arm off but alternatives are worse)

Unlikely to receive chocolate tommorrow (on pain of death)

Yum - like halibut - was it tasty?

Recipe below - 599 cals - less with wholewheat pasta - 8/10. Not very low cal so am trying cumin spiced lamb with tabouleh for tommorrow (385 cal).

Chilli chicken pasta with garlic, olives and capers (serves 4)

400g penne or other short pasta
1tbsp olive oil
3-4 chicken breasts, sliced into strips
3 garlic cloves
1 red chilli
100g pitted kalamata olives
2 tbsp capers, rinsed
2 tbsp chopped basil leaves

  1. Cook pasta til al dente, drain and reserve 80 ml of cooking water
  2. Heat half the oil in frying pan add chicken and cook for 5 mins until golden.
  3. Add chilli and garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
  4. Add chicken, olives, capers, basil and reserved cooking water to pasta and mix.
  5. Serve and drizzle with remaining olive oil.

I AM LOOKING SLIMMER IT IS WORKING

I forgot how quickly I lose weight once I start

I have lost 'thick waisted'look that I had gained of late.

Def feel more sprightly.

Oh and poo doesnt smell

noddyholder · 14/03/2010 11:00

I love it when that first sense of a slimmer middle emerges but also it is danger time for me as usually I see it as a chance to reward all my hard work with a faceful of crisps!

Undertone · 14/03/2010 11:47

Oo! Oo! Can I join in?

When I was 17 I was a size 20. Over the next two years I went down to a size 12, which was fan bloody tatsic. So fan bloody tastic I got a series of boyfriends. On this series of boyfriends I practised the dark art of 'Cooking Mind-Bendlingly Tasty Man Stodge' to impress them with my keep-ability (I am definitely a Feeder). Unfortunately, I ate what they ate. Combine this with drinking too much and wham! Seven years later at 26 I am now a size 20 again. And single (unsurprisingly).

This is It. This is The Big Diet II: Don't Die a Spinster

I have stuck to 1400 calories for over a week, and have been doing cardio for 30 mins+ every other day. It could take two years again, but fuck it! Roar!

hold my hand, please!

Sadlou81 · 14/03/2010 12:43

Sadlou81 · 14/03/2010 12:51

you all need to read that article linked to below
and think carefully of the feeling you get when you weigh and you can see it working.

good for oyou noddy
PUDDING?
WHAT IS that

noddyholder · 14/03/2010 13:02

meant yorkshire pudding I find no pudding easy not so good with snack stuff like tortillas and dips I just stop buying the stuff and am too lazy to go to the shops in teh evenings when I usually could cave in

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 14/03/2010 13:53

Well done cyb and sadlou. I saw the top bit of my abs last week, the first time for months - it was like seeing two old friends...

Builders are great for weight loss; you can never get in the kitchen except to make them a cup of tea and they are a constant reminder of what I don't want my arse to look like.

noddyholder · 14/03/2010 13:59

They are all sexist buggers aswell and I have known this lot so long they have no prob telling me I am putting on a few pounds!

Alouiseg · 14/03/2010 14:02

I'm back, i was shamed into returning by Susylvester

Had a nasty shock on the scales on Saturday i'd been far too complacent since Christmas.

Low carb all the way from now on in. Protein shake for breakfast, prawns and cockles and a rollmop for lunch.

I know that we shouldnt weigh more than once a week but 3lb down this morning made me
