A stone by Easter challenge!

redshoesnoknickers · 21/02/2010 07:17

Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

Sounds like it's been a good weekend all round.

MrsPotiphar, get that tiny little butt of yours in here and give us a smile. No negativity allowed.

I'm going have my finish challenge date on Easter Monday. That way I will have extra reason not to gorge on chocolate over the weekend. Hopefully the psychology will work!

Anyone else want to add in a weight/score?

I'm copying and pasting now to make it easier to find in the morning.

duckyfuzz · 28/02/2010 20:49

oh lord, dare I confess to a debauched weekend?! My parents came to stay, so we wined and dined fairly constantly. No weight loss but I think none gained either, so back on the wagon tomorrow (I've 'tidied up' all the leftovers tonight)

QueenofDreams · 28/02/2010 22:22

We've had chicken fajitas for dinner tonight, but I only had the tiniest little smidge of soured cream
I still came in under my calorie limit for the day

am holding off weighing in till Friday, so hopefully will see some results (despite the chinese
I'm certainly feeling the results of workout in my legs

lavenderbongo · 01/03/2010 00:32

Arghh!!! Only lost 2 lbs this week. Probably because I had a very sinful weekend. But a bit confused its not more having done lots of excercise.

Nevermind - a new start again this week.
So far today..
4 rice cakes with honey.
4 rice cakes cheese, tomatoes and slice of ham.
1 Spring roll and salad.

congratulations on all the wieght losses so far and I'm glad I am not the only one who has had a bad weekend!

MumGoneCrazy · 01/03/2010 00:33

Queen - the backs of my legs have started aching as well i did my wii fit this morning then had another go after lunch and i just got up to go check on the DD's and nearly fell over

Im thinking of buying a sauna suit for when i do my workout to help me sweat it out im also bidding on a few workout dvds to add to my wii fit workout

I have a waist it goes right in its everything under my waist thats my problem

I have a big butt that needs toning, hips with too much flab on them, chunky thighs and a wobbly overhang from 4 c-sections

Enchilada81 · 01/03/2010 08:15

Start weight: 11st 11lbs
Weight today: 11st 4lbs
Target weight by easter: 10st 11lbs
Amount left to lose: 7lbs

MumInBeds · 01/03/2010 08:50

Well done to all those who lost weight, 1lb off is better than 1lb gain and staying the same after a fun weekend is good duckyfuzz.

My weigh in is tomorrow, hopefully it'll be good news but we'll see. I'm not too sure what I'll be eating today but I'll be calorie counting throughout.

Keep going ladies! (I don't think there are and men on this thread but you too if there are).

QueenofDreams · 01/03/2010 09:06

Morning ladies.
Planned to get up before DS and start the day with some exercise. Unfortunately within a minute of me waking dp decided to bring ds through to me. So that plan has gone up the swannee. grrrrr.
Anyway, have had small bowl of muesli, will be easier not to snack today, as dp is at work so won't be cooking maple glazed ribs which smell delicious and are very tempting
Well done ENchilada on weight loss!

mumoverseas · 01/03/2010 12:43

hi, lost you all for a moment when you dropped off my 'threads I'm on' Will try harder to keep up

Well done to all of you that have lost weight and well done on all that exercise. Must look into getting that Davina DVD you all talk about. I'm abroad at the moment and won't be able to get it here but DH back to the UK in a few weeks so will nag him to get it.

I normally do cheerios or special k for breakfast then a turkey salad roll and lots of carrots and cucumber for lunch.

Dinner tends to be something I've thrown together from my WW cook book.

Had a tough moment just now. A new bakers has been selling bread and rolls on my compound and I normally have one brown/granary every day. Bought DD and DS some of their white ones today and had to have a nibble. It was the most gorgeous bread I've had in years. Bread out here normally crap, like cardboard. Well for the last 4 hours I kept thinking about the spare one leftover and just had to have it. Bugger! Bread really is my downfall. will have to ask man in shop to ban me.

QueenofDreams · 01/03/2010 13:27

Ah MOS I'm sure one breadroll is not the end of the world. Just count it in your calories/points/whatever for the day.

Have done about 45 minutes of exercise dvd, my bum is seriously feeling yesterday's workout.
Have had lunch: salad with chopped yellow pepper and olives, crackerbread, low fat cottage cheese and smoked salmon. Yum.

Oh and I don't have the Davina dvd either MOS.

juicy12 · 01/03/2010 14:10

done about an hour of speedy walking today
breakfast - branflakes, OJ
lunch - tomato+pepper soup, wholemeal pitta, diet coke and some carrot and low fat humous.
Sadly found my hand moving towards one of the DCs oat biscuits, picking it up and popping it in my mouth. No pudding tonight.

No weight lost since last Monday, but no gain, so that's something.

redshoesnoknickers · 01/03/2010 14:14

Well done all! Welcome to week 2 of 6...

Am super busy today so just dipping in - had yog and blackberries for brekkie, no lunch yet - will prob grab some rice cakes later then tea not sure!

mumoverseas · 01/03/2010 14:42

problem is QOD I know know its there. The most yummy bread is there 10 mins walk from my house and I might struggle to stop at one.

My other downfall is I HAVE to have a bowl of cereal, either cheerios or special K every night at around 8pm as I'm starving and can't sleep at night. Still feeding DS2 a few times a night so I guess I need to keep it up for now and gradually reduce it

juicy12 · 01/03/2010 17:48

If you're feeding DS2, I'd say an evening bowl of cereal is compulsory Mumoverseas!!

So far so good. I did OK over the weekend and did plenty of exercise. It's a bit harder today and tomorrow as I'm in an off-site training course for two days with danish and donuts laid on plus three course lunch .

Did OK today - refrained from any naughties apart from one biscuit and had a bowl of soup followed by salad for lunch.

Will do some pilates now as well.

Here's hoping I do as well tomorrow....

MrsPotiphar · 01/03/2010 19:00

i dont understand what 94.5 is

YoginiBikini · 01/03/2010 19:30

It means that red shoes has lost 5.5 pounds since starting, Mrs P. Lucky bugger she is!
