Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

I have the same dilemma MumGoneCrazy . Thanks for the calculator - I'll have a go in a minute when my desperately slow computer finishes opening the page.

Well done for doing all that exercise. I know what you mean about the kids getting in the way and mocking.

I also hate exercising in front of DH. Unfortunately he's always been tall and thin so can eat what he wants and doesn't have to do 'formal exercise' so he just doesn't get dieting. Just says people should 'eat less'!! Like it's that easy.

redshoesnoknickers · 27/02/2010 17:51

Well instead of salad my "lunch" has been a small bowl of cereal, 3 dried apricots, and apple, a mini aero (48cals) and 5 fruit pastilles. Not ideal but also not very many calories so i'm not too bothered

Am hungry now but will try and wait til DH cooks yummy dinner later...

Oh and well done on all this exercise ladies! Am v.v.impressed with you all! I must give myself a kick up the bum and do some - I actually don't mind running once I get out there but the weather is so dire I just haven't got the will! Bring the sun out and I promise I will go!!

The run was bloody hard work.. but thanks for asking!! Haven't been running for a long time so only managed a mile before nearly dying!

Will continue with it and I know it will get better...

mumgonecrazy thats brill... will continue with the wii fit also!!! And to anyone else that had done exercise - Keep going!

Am looking forward to my dinner... homemade shepherds pie and steamed broccoli and runner beans!

Catch up tomorrow

PlumBumMum · 27/02/2010 19:47

Right I think dd1 is trying to kill me

have just 4 songs on just dance and only won 1 (BLUR Boys & girls) probably helped by the fact dd had never heard of it

simmo39 · 27/02/2010 20:58

Hi all - weighed myself this morning and 3lb off this week - yehhhh!!! So relieved as had a Chinese take away last night but keep it to LC so looks like it was ok.

Belated birthday wishes twinkle

Am bidding for a davina DVD on ebay at the mo as I really need to exercise. Quite excited about getting it and feeling really motivated to do 1/2 hour a day.

Had a yummy LC Thai Green Curry for dinner tonight and might have a G&T soon with 2 squares of dark chocolate - this diet ain't so bad me thinks

Got dinner at MIL tomorrow she is doing a roast but with LC carb veg bless her! She keeps asking me questions about my diet so got a feeling she is going to do it too....

YoginiBikini · 27/02/2010 22:03

Ok the port is out. That sets me back a little doesn't it? ?

simmo39 · 27/02/2010 22:20

Oooh love port with a splash of lemonade

QueenofDreams · 27/02/2010 23:39

Hey ladies,
Well I think i might have set myself back a little, as we had chinese last night. However, I have done half an hour of Gabby Logan's exercise DVD. Man it is HARD WORK. (but then I'm very unfit)

redshoesnoknickers · 28/02/2010 08:16

Well I think the last two days I have actually consumed more calories in alcohol than food! Very naughty so back on the wagon til next friday methinks

Today I will be having smoothie/soup/roast pork dinner.

twinkle183 · 28/02/2010 09:11

Hi girlies.... its true in any diet that its good to have an ickle of what ya like so a bit of alcohol relaxes ya so no harm done!!!!

Throat is better today - am going to get the exercise under way as I need to get back to be able to run at least 2.5 miles everyday only managed a mile yesterday It's such hard work getting fit but once your there its quite enjoyable!!

Had two slices of toast this morning for brekkie, think mushroom omlette for lunch and then not sure about dinner but thinking fish and veg... I can now start drinking water again

Keep it up ladies were doing really well!!!

MrsPotiphar · 28/02/2010 09:12

i dont get this "i am on a diet " hten you have a chinese!!!
no wonder you find it hard to lose weight!

PlumBumMum · 28/02/2010 10:18

Well MrsPotiphor in this thread we are being abit realistic we would like to lose a stone by Easter yes,
but we are here to encourage, not criticise for enjoying a chinese
and we have just started its hard to kick bad things right away

QueenofDreams · 28/02/2010 10:19

mrspotiphar are you even on this thread?
and yes, DP decided to get takeaway for dinner on friday - it's the first time in months, and I am aware that it is not ideal so maybe you ought to butt out.
and where have I said I find it hard to lose weight?

redshoesnoknickers · 28/02/2010 10:20

Oh bugger off MrsPotiphar...

SciFiFan · 28/02/2010 11:17

Have to say that I'm feeling healthier and fitter than I have done in years. I feel like I can really succeed in our challenge of one stone by Easter.

Today I'm going swimming with DH and the kids. DH and I take it in turns to go for a proper swim/look after the kids. I'm also planning on doing the pilates again as I really felt that work on my stomach.

As per redshoes re MrsPotipher!!

QueenofDreams · 28/02/2010 11:36

which pilates vid are you doing scifi?
Would love to do some myself.

SciFiFan · 28/02/2010 13:21

It's called 10 minute Pilates and there are 5 different 10 minute sessions covering Abs, Bum & Thigh, Arms, Flexibility and Burn (needless to say I haven't tried the burn yet!).

I picked it up for £3.99 at Sainsbury's last week.

It crtainly works the stomach muscles!!

MrsPotiphar · 28/02/2010 13:21
Grin
QueenofDreams · 28/02/2010 14:22

Well I've just done a 1hour exercise vid. Seriously felt the burn.
Now need to have some lunch - ryvita, smoked salmon, low fat cottage cheese.

twinkle183 · 28/02/2010 17:16

Can't believe the cheek of some people am with ya girlies butt out!!!

Have had a good day so far and am going to do a half hour which equates to about 2.5 miles and the do a bit on the wii fit... and maybe just maybe do a bit of pilates while watching dancing on ice skate off.... don't mind doing abs while watching tele makes the time go quicker!!!! lol

Well with the exercise girlies if we keep this up the stone will defo be gone by easter... what date is easter by the way????

My throat is loads better and sorry to moan about it but it is bloody awful!!!

Am so glad I have joined this thread cos you get loads of encouragement and nobody judges you if you fall off the wagon

Keep going we can do it...

MrsPotiphar · 28/02/2010 17:23

PlumBumMum · 28/02/2010 18:14

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 28/02/2010 19:25

Hello all

Belated happy birthday Twinkle and well done on all the losses and exercise.

Eaten according to plan and continued with Davina everyday. I can see just about see my abs reappearing which is enough motivation to keep me going although I may feel the need to ceremonially burn the DVDs after Easter when we hit our target weights.

Is Just Dance on the Wii any good - considering getting it to do with DS1.

ROFL at Mrs Potiphar - this thread rocks!Absolutely delighted that someone is interested in what I had for lunch. My butt may be larger than Mrs P's but it definately getting more toned!
