redshoesnoknickers · 21/02/2010 07:17

Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

duckyfuzz · 26/02/2010 20:07

oops! happy birthday twinkle I like the EA sports personal trainer for the wii fit, I find it much more effective than the skiing etc

QueenofDreams · 26/02/2010 20:26

Ah plumbum - I did Just Dance today as well. I didn't do too badly. the other two ladies were puffed out after 2 songs. I managed a few more than that

roseability · 26/02/2010 21:28

Well ladies I have just had a vomiting bug so when I weighed in this morning I was 13st 2lbs. A loss of 3lbs since last Friday

However it is not true weight loss really and I am worried it will just go back on now that I feel better

How do I keep it off?

roseability · 26/02/2010 21:30

Actually have lost 4lbs

juicy12 · 26/02/2010 21:37

Hello, can I join please? I've lost 1 stone since mid-Jan doing Rosemary conley nothing above 5% fat. Have another 2, ideally 2.5 stone to lost, so another by EAster sounds good.Going through a dip at the mo, so need some motivation to keep me going!

MumGoneCrazy · 26/02/2010 21:44

Well done juicy and welcome

YoginiBikini · 26/02/2010 23:18

What's your loss Su?

I agree with the night off stuff really. What I mean is a night of having a glass of wine or two. I've taken this into account slightly today and have tried to eat less for it. Evening meal has been delicious and filling but still within my 'calorie' range for the day. It just feels like a night off because I wouldn't drink during the week at the moment. A bit of frivolity, and if I do want a slightly bigger portion I would go for it.

A list to show our losses may be a good idea though

I'm not putting my true weight so will do as other threads have done and start from 100 at beginning of week, so I am now

YoginiBikini 96

Copy and paste your own with weight or loss from 100

redshoesnoknickers · 27/02/2010 07:31

Oh you test my maths skills at this time in the morning with a slight hangover

YoginiBikini 96

Plan for today: pineapple smoothie/blue cheese and pear salad/sea bass with something (DH cooking )

Happy weekend all!

SuSylvester · 27/02/2010 10:11

well my weight is hard to work out as i didnt have accurate scales when i started.

think am about 2/3 lbs in wek one
am RESISTING urget to weigh often - MOnday will therefore be my day

yest was
special k
salad
one cracker and philly
veg curry and low fat naan
glasf of wine ( that i then regretted and thought was a waste of cals)

today will be similar but with home made no points veg soup..

am heading twds 40 you see.. ANd HAVE MN PARTY NEXt week

SciFiFan · 27/02/2010 12:41

Today - so far so good. Had crumpets for breakfast and an Alpen bar as a mid-morning snack.

Have been for a 40 min walk which was about 2 1/2 miles. I must look up how many calories are burnt in walking - anyone know a good site.

Plan for today is low-cal 'fry up' for lunch (more of a grill up) then cottage pie and lots of veg for dinner.

I also had a glass of wine last night but have been adding soda water to make it last longer.

YoginiBikini · 27/02/2010 14:32

Well done Redshoes

Your days plan looks nice. It's making my tummy rumble. I get very hungry when I'm cold and my big old house is an ice bucket at the moment. Brrrr. I'm trying to keep my snacks to fruit or seeds but a kitkat fell in my mouth earlier. ooops

Breakfast was porridge with seeds and banana

catalan chicken for lunch

scallops and salad later

Am feeling too bleh and lazy to exercise today.

How was your run Twinkle?

Su - looking good. Veg soup is great.

Don't remind me of the heading towards 40 please. I nearly told someone I was 26 the other day!! I just forgot for a minute how elderly I am becoming. I feel 26 anyway. God I 'd love to look the way I did when I was 26 and didn't appreciate it.

I am not old I am not old....

Good going SciFiFan

MumGoneCrazy · 27/02/2010 14:59

Just done wii fit

8 minutes of hula hoop - 2 minute normal then 6 minutes non stop 3 going right then 3 going left

3 minutes of bsic step aerobics

5 minutes step plus aerobics

10 minutes of free step aerobics

and

3 minutes jogging - my burn rate was 96%

Will do this same workout everyday, somedays twice if i have time, its hard with 4 kids running round, laughing at you

YoginiBikini · 27/02/2010 15:06

Well done MumGoneCrazy. Sounds like you had fun then?

I really should get on my wii fit one day

MumGoneCrazy · 27/02/2010 15:15

In the 10 minute free step aerobic i did 1009 steps im knackered and just gulped down 3 glasses of water

MumGoneCrazy · 27/02/2010 15:18

"I'm trying to keep my snacks to fruit or seeds but a kitkat fell in my mouth earlier. ooops"

lmao love it YoginiBikini

PlumBumMum · 27/02/2010 15:30

Hi all
Mumgonecrazy know what you mean when I was doing workout yesterday I ended up telling them all to get out,

well I have had weetabix
sausages plum tomatoes & mustard sandwhich
having steak & prawns and salad tonight

think AF is working on me so feel really tired might lie down and then do work out

MumGoneCrazy · 27/02/2010 16:05

I found this

you put how much you weigh in pounds then a time for example 10 minutes and it it gives you a list of activitys and how many calories you'll burn doing that activity for the time you stated

so i did 10 minutes of high impact step aerobics so i burned 125 calories

8 minutes basic step aerobics so i burned 70 calories

3 minutes jogging so i burned 22 calories

It didnt have hula hooping so i classed it as low impact aerobics so i burned about 70 calories

so in total 287 calories burned

and tonight if i have a 30minute moderate effect session with DP i'll burn 56 calories so my question is, is it worth it?

PlumBumMum · 27/02/2010 17:39

OMG My whole body is like jelly
just did the cardio blitz, definitely couldn't do the whole video in a row, according to this if you do interval training it burns the calories now and contiues for 48 hours
