Well half term is over, back to school tomorrow and Spring is in the air...time to get rid of the winter flab methinks!

I weigh 11 stone and want to be 10 by Easter (and ultimately around the 9 stone 7-10 mark) - six weeks to do 14lbs doable I think?

My reward will be lovely shopping for summer clothes.

My plan is to do HM smoothie or cereal breakfast, Soup or salad lunch and "normal" healthyish dinner (but watch the portion size on carbs. I will be trying to drink lots of water and less coffee/alcohol and exercising 3 x per week (prob be running but am considering joining a gym!!)

So anyone who fancies joining me feel free

Today: Strawb and yog smoothie/prawn salad/shepherds pie and brocolli. Might run later if it ever stops RAINING!!

Hi all

Have been good since I last posted - eaten well and have done aerobic exercise for at least half an hour everyday. It should be falling off me - why isn't it? AAArgh I think that I may need to do more exercise -I can't eat any less! Weigh in tommorrow and we'll see how it goes. Well done to everyone who lost and has kept up on the exercise!

SwarthyWaiter · 04/03/2010 09:26

right i am back.
went to Mn party adn thus imbibed a days calories in booze.
BUT the dress i ahd bought two weeks befoe was NOTICEABLE looser.

Iobaby · 04/03/2010 10:00

Hello, I know I'm late, but can I join please - I am new to mumsnet and found this thread last night which I found really motivating as I have been struggling. Need to loose 1 and 1/2 stone by may to be bridesmaid (lost 2 pounds last week. Plan to go running 2nite - have davina dvd for 2 years but it's still in the cellophane - you have inspired me!!

PlumBumMum · 04/03/2010 10:18

Simmo its a white chocolate cheese cake that I even managed to make a lower fat version of and it still worked
miscalculated the amount of cheese I bought and just happend to have creme fraiche in fridge so added it and it worked, so I will be trying that again at Easter

Right I have done no exercise this week need to get off here get some housework done and then do HW DVD

Enchilada81 · 04/03/2010 10:32

According to the scales this morning, I have 4lbs left to lose to reach my goal.

God bless Atkins

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 04/03/2010 10:51

Blardy hell Enchilada that's amazing! Well done! You've also been exercising too? Can I be nosy and ask how much?

Enchilada81 · 04/03/2010 10:58

Thanks Its a rare success story for me to be honest because I love my food and have NEVER been able to stick to a diet before.

I do exercise. Along with the regular stuff (1 and a half hours school run walking) I also do body combat classes 2/3 times a week and I'm trying to use the wii fit at least every other day where I do the jogging and step aerobics and some muscle toning stuff.

In summer I plan to do real jogging around the park and tennis with DH on his days off. I may also try and fit in a bit of swimming.

SciFiFan · 04/03/2010 11:03

Well done Enchilada and all the others who have lost weight.

I have to have a good day today as it's weigh in day tomorrow. My only problem is I feel like I'm coming down with a cold or something and don't feel any motivation to do anything other than slump on the settee.

I MUST go for a walk later - I'm sure the fresh air will make me feel better.

So far today I've had:
Bowl of Fruit & Fibre
Dairylea strip cheese

Plan to have soup for lunch and lamb stew for dinner.

Always hate weigh day - what if I haven't lost anything...

Enchilada81 · 04/03/2010 11:26

I could murder a bowl of cereal! draw back of low carbing I suppose. I never thought I'd miss "healthy" food lol

I dread weigh in day too.

YoginiBikini · 04/03/2010 11:43

Well done all. Enchilada you are making me green! You must be so chuffed.

SciFi, I sympathise with the slumping on the sofa feeling. I;'ve wanted to do that for a few days with some bug hanging around. Feeling tickity tock today though so back on track.

NoKnickers -6 pounds in two weeks is great

Muesli and yogurt for breakfast, lunch will be mushroom omelette. Dinner rack of lamb with salads. And no wine

Swarthywaiter - glad to see you bent some rules too with the wine. What dress did you wear? I'm looking around at dresses now to fit my newly svelte bottom into.

Anyone else busy internet window shopping? I will never again buy a size 14.

Enchilada81 · 04/03/2010 11:44

Thanks Yogi

As for window shopping ... that's something I haven't done in a while ... ((gets credit card ready)) Looking forward to summer!

YoginiBikini · 04/03/2010 11:51

It's a gorgeous day too. Very tempting to buy lots of lovely things on a day like this. Spring is on it's way!!!

QueenofDreams · 04/03/2010 12:17

Hi ladies
Welcom iobaby never too late to join

I did no exercise yesterday, and I drank a can of booze (woops) hoping to do better today as will be weighing in tomorrow. I am also worried that I might not have lost anything. I don't FEEL like I've lost anything
Anyway, Have had a bowl of muesli with natural yoghurt for breakfast, and have snacked on some wholegrain crackerbread.
Now off to get 1/2 hour exercise in. Hooray for exercise dvds

redshoesnoknickers · 04/03/2010 13:18

I went running!! Hooray! and did 50 situps and 50 leg lift thingies on each leg for the fat bum

yog and seeds/ham salad/salmon and salad today

I need to drop 2lb each week for the next 4 to reach a stone by easter...I can do it surely

Welcome any new peeps and well done everyone - a third of the way already!!!

SciFiFan · 04/03/2010 19:00

To all those weighing in tomorrow Good Luck and be good!

duckyfuzz · 04/03/2010 19:20

oh dear, you've all been so good

I habve been too cross with myself to post - I am now nearly back to the weight I was last friday, after a bad weekend followed by tapas with DH on Monday when we went to see stereophonics, but have been good since so have actually lost about 5lb this week, its jsut a shame I had put it on in the frst place however I'm with you on the spring clothes thing, have been enjoying some virtual window shopping this week!

duckyfuzz · 04/03/2010 19:21

I'll shut up now...

twinkle183 · 04/03/2010 19:42

Well I have completely disgraced myself with a packet of hobnobs... I have been so good but have just cracked...! I feel so bad and I don't know why I do it to myself...

HELP!!!!

PlumBumMum · 04/03/2010 20:38

twinkle if it is any comfort I had a good few cadburys chocolate digestives with my cuppa

BUT I felt guilty and did HW DVD, Did I recommend it to Anyone????

I'm sorry if I did because I'm not trying to kill you off, OMG its a killer
dh reminded me she probably wasn't doing all that at the beginning so I will take comfort from that

now I will fill a glass of water and try not to nibble the rest of tonight

GOOD LUCK TOMORROW
I think I need it

QueenofDreams · 04/03/2010 20:40

Steak for dinner tonight! yum!!

simmo39 · 04/03/2010 21:35

plumbummum - ooh white choc cheesecake sounds absolutely delicious But just can't have on LC diet but will give it a go when I hit goal weight, well I will be allowed a little treat surely....

Enchilada - WOW that sounds like a lot of exercise to me you must be an athlete to pack that in a week. I have been lazy today, drove to school as had to go out straight after (thats my excuse) and have only just sat down so no run tonight as just too tired now. However did do about 1 hour vigorous cleaning today whilst DD was asleep. Rushed around like a maniac to do it all before she woke from her nap!

But I have been good with my eating today, just stuck to my Go Lower meals. So will weigh in tomorrow morning.

Good luck everyone

SciFiFan · 05/03/2010 09:02

Well weigh in this morning and I've lost ........nothing!!

I know I've tried really hard but I've plateaued (sic?) again!!!

I've not been very good at counting in fruit and cups of tea so all I can think is that they've tipped me over from losing weight to maintaining....SO...I'm going to be REALLY strict between now and Monday and will weigh again then to see if it's helped.

Hope it's better news for the rest of you.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 05/03/2010 09:12

Weigh in for me too. Despite being really good on food and exercising everyday I have lost 0.5 pound so am now at 9st 6. Will just have to up the exercise quotient to 1.5 hours a day and hope it pays off!

Good luck to everyone else.

em83 · 05/03/2010 09:28
