MABS · 25/02/2010 16:52

good luck blondes.

I fel better but had v upsetting hospital apt with ds today so just ate 3 biscuits, mind you, thats all i ate today so far

GettinTrimmer · 25/02/2010 16:55

Afternoon ladies

The toning exercises on Claire must have done some good yesterday as my tummy muscles feel worked Blondes I will do the BC section, but would rather atm watch the view with a cup of tea

mummymels will post later with the list, it's quite long but interesting...

bebe I know someone who has lost 2 stone since xmas, she started off on the Cambridge but stopped because she had no energy to do exercise. does your dh manage to sit down atm? I don't how he could without a doughnut cushion!

Kayzr have a great time this evening, you sound like you need it.

MABS Hope you feel better soon

Jodie Hope your arm is better soon, appreciate how you feel. My dad, 78, fell over in that awful ice beginning of Jan too, slowly getting better.

PBM No wonder you're feeling moody, look after yourself. Assume galfer are iron tablets. Try and get as much rest as possible.

DD was jumping in puddles on the way home from school and before I knew it she launched herself right in the middle of one and splashed the family behind us, it was like a mini tidal wave. They weren't very happy.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/02/2010 17:14

thanks MABS, sorry to hear you had a bad day ((HUGS)) - a few biccys and nothing else wont break the diet xx

tidal wave sound fun and TRIMMER you must do the bc section - sweat dripping off the men

but glad you worked hard at toning section

have you done it all the way through yet?

BEBE how was the angel delight? i have brought some butterscotch, but havent made eaten it yet - shame doesnt come in ready to eat pots (lazy blond here lol)

bebejones · 25/02/2010 19:20

Evening ladies!

MABS -

Kayzr - hope you have a lovely evening!

Blondes - good luck for weigh in! Very of your lasagne, it's one of my faves! Angel delight was amazing!!! Made it with skimmed milk & tasted fine although left it to stand longer to set!

Trimmer - Well done on all that toning. I have been making myself do stomach crunches every morning & last thing before bed & can def feel it working! DH needs to do Cambridge really just to kick start weight loss. BIL did it last year & lost 4 stone in as many months! He is refusing the doughnut cushion & swears at me when I mention it!! He is doing lots of lolling around on the sofa in a Roman emperor sort of way!

mummymels · 25/02/2010 19:45

Kayzr ? Sorry you are having a tough time at the moment. I hope things improve for you soon. Have a lovely night out tonight, you deserve it. Well done to your mum.

Blondes ? I?m so sorry for missing you, you know that in my heart I remembered you. You?ve done so well that hopefully one days pigout won?t do you any arm. The lasagne isn?t too bad when split into portions. Good luck with weigh in tomorrow.

PBM ? I?m sorry you are going through so much with your health at the moment. I hope they can find out what is really wrong with you soon and get you on the right treatment. If you ever need to talk about it you know we are here for you.

MABS - Hugs to you for DS. I hope everything will be ok.

GettinTrimmer ? Oh no on DD but the devil in me is giggling deep down!

Bebejones ? Hello!

Poohbearsmom · 25/02/2010 23:34

Sorry Trim yep their iron tablets & my tummy ant impressed with them... Blondes another at ur lasagne mmmmmmmmm tis one of my very fav's too was thinkin of tryin it wit quorn mince as its way less cals/pts & iv done bolonese & chili wit it witout any1 knowin till i told em n da end, but i always do my lasagne wit a really cheesy sauce so may hav to search for a low fat one b4 i try it... Mabs sorry for ur awful day dont worry bout da bickys but try to look after urself aswell hun, plenty of gud nutritious meals/snacks too... Bebe wats da cambridge entail sorry mayb stupid to ask jus iv not heard of it... wud he consider doin ww? tis a gr8 program esp for some1 who doesnt want to giv up everything they love & u already know heap loads of 0pts soup receipes from this gang Mummymels thank you how r u getting on wit da diet/exercise/life n general?

bebejones · 26/02/2010 07:30

Mels - hello back!

PBM - Cambridge diet is quite extreme. It's basically just these special milkshake drinks/soups and you have nothing but them & water (2ltr+) a day!! He talked about doing SW but I think he wants to kick start things first. He has a lot to lose bless him & I think he is massively self conscious about doing the group thing!

It's 7.30 & DD is still asleep!! YAY! Yesterday she was awake at 5.15am!! Yawn!! AF is giving me late night munchies I just want to eat atm!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2010 09:39

MUMMYMELS or mels i was teasing

lasagne was yummy and at 5.5p still had points left for a packet of crisps

PMB i have made with quorn before at work and it is scrummy, but dh wont eat it with quorn (fussy git) so i make it with proper mince

if made with quorn then points value for the recipe below is 20.5 (as 4.5p per bag of frozen mince) so works out 3.5p per portion

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2010 09:45

bebejones · 26/02/2010 10:32

PBM not sure if they have a mens only class but doubt he would go even if they did! He is a stubborn git!!

Blondes - well done, fantastic!!!

Walked to tesco with DD in the heavy buggy & lugged big heavy bag of shopping back. That has to have burnt some calories! Did it at pace so really felt it in my thighs!!

Quorn burgers for dinner & I am really looking forward to them! Will have mine with tonnes of salad & pitta. No idea what to have for lunch though, maybe tuna salad I think!

Kayzr · 26/02/2010 10:38

Oh good lord I feel rough!!! I had a brilliant night out. I really really needed it.

I am stuffing the diet this week as I've been rubbish. So I am having a fry up for lunch as I really want one.

Monday I will be straight back on the diet and exercising.

Blondes that is brilliant!!!!

GettinTrimmer · 26/02/2010 14:09

Afternoon ladies

Blondes Well done!! 2lb is fantastic, a stone now!

I did Clare all the way through today, will take another couple of times to get the BC bit.

Bebe well done on the walking, definitely exercise make all the difference.

Kayzr You did sound like you needed a night out, glad you enjoyed it.

A friend I've not seen since before christmas came round for lunch today, she said I look like I've lost weight

GettinTrimmer · 26/02/2010 14:19

This may be of interest:

10 ways to burn 100 calories at home

1 Digging the garden for 11 mins
Hard work. Take care with your back.

2 Working out to a Rosemary Conley fitness DVD (or any fat burning section)

3 Cleaning Windows for 14 mins
Add extra force to get every mark off and you'll burn more calories.

4 Sweeping up outside for 15 mins

5 Mowing the lawn for 18 mins
Some mowers are harder work than others, so this is a guesstimate - but it's a physical job that pays dividends in terms of calories burned.

6 Vacuuming for 20 mins

7 Ironing for 25 mins
You might feel hot and bothered when ironing but that's a good sign as it means you are using up lots of calories. Just think, a couple of hours ironing - and you'll burn 400 calories! You might even start to enjoy it.

8 Dusting for 30 mins
This involves a fair amount of reaching and stretching and, as your are standing, it makes a worthwhile calories burner. So get dust-busting. Great for keeping your joints mobile.

9 Cooking and baking for 35 mins
Moving around from one side of the kitchen to another while standing is steady calorie-burning work. But make sure you don't eat everything you cook!

10 Watching TV for 100 mins
Because you are not moving much. it takes ages to burn off a 100 calories. So, try to limit your overall weekly watch to around 12 hours, or just under 2 hours a day, and get up and walk around during the ads.

mummymels I copied this out from a Rosemary Conley magazine - I feel a bit better about having to do the never-ending hoovering now!

GettinTrimmer · 26/02/2010 14:19

I forgot to say, working out to the fitness DVD for 12 mins

bebejones · 26/02/2010 18:20

Great list Trimmer!!

I had done so well today then ate tonnes of DD's dinner in an effort to get her to eat one mouthful (DH is out & normally this is his job!) & it was possibly one of the worst things to eat! Cauliflower & Pasta Cheese bake, made with full fat milk & loads of full fat cheddar cheese! Can already feel the calories & copious amounts of sat fat heading to my thighs! All for nothing as all DD ate was 2 bites of bread!
Lots of exercise in order for the weekend!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2010 18:46

thanks everyone, i very pleased, esp after my 60 point blip the other day

BEBE some quorn stuff is nice, the burgers i find a tad dry

PBM indeed, roasted veggies are so low in points and yummy

KAYZR i take it you had a good pissed night then

TRIMMER well done for doing all the dvd and handy hints - shame there was no sex one

BEBE Cauliflower & Pasta Cheese bake, made with full fat milk & loads of full fat cheddar cheese - im dribbling sooooooooo i LOVE cheese

i have been working all day and here till 1am as mb/db are at lady gaga, i have a glass of inw and chocolate ready in the fridge

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2010 18:46

wine

Poohbearsmom · 26/02/2010 22:35

Me lovely glass balcony doors & windows on the other hand spend most of their lifd wit sticky hand prints... any idea how or why kid's hands r always sticky? Bebe jus readin bout your cheesy pasta made my tummy growl! Blondes How many pts n dat der wine missy will share ur choc to ease da burden... Kayz glad ya enjoyed l.nite ya back on da diet bandwaggon tomoro? iv a comfy spot bside me stockd wit veggies & water & i promise im not contagious (sp?)

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2010 23:50

im at a friends 30th tomorrow (christ i feel old) and will be a B&B party - booze and buffet

i fear another 60point day may be here, if not even worse, buffet nibbles are the worst!!

but i will go to the gym in the morning and have a huge plate of roasted veg+chicken and then be good rest of the week, and hope for the best

good luck everyone for the weekend and then mondays weigh in

this week has been easier as kids back at school and no half term so life/exercise goes back to normal

bebejones · 27/02/2010 07:17

Morning guys!
Cheesey pasta & cauli was really nice but super duper naughty! Did feel really bad about eating it & was trying not to but DD was being a cow PITA!! Grrrrrr Toddlers!!! At least it had some veg in it!!

My throat is so painful this morning, think I'm getting a bug, feels like it's been attacked with a cheese grater!

PBM - I'm rubbish at housework too, standing in the kitchen & do the washing up is as good as it gets most days! Although we are havinga big spring clean & tidy up this weekend! That'll burn a few cals!

Blondes - have a lovely time at your B&B!! Hopefully the food will all be very small, thus allowing you to have lots!!
