mummymels · 24/02/2010 01:30

Gosh my spelling was awful yesterday, I?m sorry about that but was half asleep I think!

bebejones ? wow that is brilliant, you must be feeling great.

Disenchanted3 ? its lovely to have you back. I hope you?re feeling better now. That is a long walk ? you must feel so good after doing that. Well done to your sister too.

GettinTrimmer ? that is reassuring to know the housework helps on the weight loss. At least it gives us incentive to do it. Hope you are not so sore tomorrow.

Poohbearsmom ? How are you feeling now?

Blondeshavemorefun ? You sound really busy!

Do you know if olives are low carb? Today the kids had pasta for their lunch and I pinched some olives. I am pleased I didn't pinch the pasta which would have been worse but feel a bit naughty pinching the olives as so far I have kept the the diet to the tee.

skinsl · 24/02/2010 08:31

hello ladies
I have stayed the same this week however I have been to the gym Sun, Mon and Tue. I always get to this stage in a diet and lose heart because the weight loss levels off, but I am determined to stick to it. Getting into a routine for the gym, getting DS into the creche and making sure no stupid other stuff gets in my way of going to the gym! like builders appts.
anyone got some tasty recipes for family dinners... (read for the DH!) he likes his hearty meals.

arcticwind · 24/02/2010 11:11

Glad all the poorly lo are feeling better.

bebejones · 24/02/2010 11:22

Morning all!

Well done on losses everyone! Also well done to those who have stayed the same!

Anyone have any experience of skin firming type body lotions? Are they a gimick? I'm starting to get wrinkly bits especially on my tummy and boobs!! Am doing lots of toning type exercises with the dvd & weights/sit-ups, but it seems to be tightening the muscle under all this horrible stretched out skin! Not sure what to do! Don't want to end up looking like I have the boobs of a 90year old...I'm 27!!!!

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2010 12:26

Afternoon ladies

mummymels I will post later on how many calories are burnt doing ironing, dusting and other housework (which I hate!) I've got a list.

skinsl Well done on staying the same. We have just done week 7, we're in it for the long haul!

arctic 3lb!! Wow! Well done!

laughalot I agree it's a good idea to have a goal in mind, I have my niece's wedding on the 1st August when I want to wear a stunning dress and look slim. I help in dd's reception class once a week and enjoy it, I was thinking of training to be a classroom assistant.

bebe I am not great at doing toning exercises, just done claire's dvd (missed out the bit with the hunky men without shirts ) and have just started toning. Could try posting on style and beauty about the body lotions if none of us know here.

I was feeling really impatient this morning, I sometimes wish I could fastforward the weight loss. We need piste to tell us we'll emerge as beautiful butterflies in the summer!

Poohbearsmom · 24/02/2010 14:03

lol love that butterfly thing well done every1 ye r doin so well, im not doin good thanks mummymels for askin after me, im not n much pain but stopped bf'ing on fri & i feel fairly miserable also cant exercisie & want else but to eat &do nothing... tryin hard not to fall into my old horrid ways but im floundering (think dats a real word...) had bn not drinkin much n an attempt not to hav to go to da toilet as it was so painful but hav startd wit my water again today so hopefully dat will help wit da cravings... inspire me ladies (& dont be kind, kick my ass thats what i need right now)

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2010 14:16

well done everyone, great loss's

ARTIC 3lbs is fab - you must have very precise scales to sa .7s of a lb, mine just say 1 lbs

SKINS dont worry, bet you lost inches

LAUGHALOT well done for saying no to pudding

BEBE i have tried a few lotions, have come to the conclusion they are all crap, and i am going to have saggy tits and wobbly thighs

TRIMMER why on earth didnt you do the naked men section?

PBM aww ((HUGS)) we all need one sometimes, even mn doesnt do them - try and rink water, it will def help, def no butt kicking done by me - have some nice tasty roasted veg and some oily fish (heard somewhere that that was good when stopped bf - good for sore boobs?? ??) or that may be complete bollocks

manic day again today so sorry if i left anyone off list

RatherBeOnThePiste · 24/02/2010 14:52

Am really struggling to regain momentum with diet after the hols. Feel down about it all. It's probably just post - piste blues, and I need to slap my self hard and stop being so stupid and regain perspective.

The weather is so blleeuugghhh, and all I want to do is eat something with a bit of stodge, or cakey pudding would be nice.

Poopy pants

JODIEwantsanewname · 24/02/2010 16:24

Hi all, sorry not posted for a while as been feeling abit low about stuff and didn't like to moan as a few of you here have WAY bigger problems than me

Any how I'll give you the basics, both DS's and DH have had the D&V bug (not me though, could do with it to give me a 'boost' ) Been feeling fed up of my stupid arm restricting me, then I was soooo good last week, litrally going to bed hungry, and I put on 1lb then this week I've been kind of bad, stuck to diet to a certain extent, but had a doughnut at work on Monday (someones birthday ) and a chippy tea last night, I had a cheeky 'mid week' weigh this morning and I've lost 3.5lbs!! Now tell me HTF that happens??????

Anyway, Glad to see you back dis shitty days do happen don't they and i know what you mean about MN, I spend alot of time 'lurking' I very rarely post as I never have anything constructive to add!

Bebe wow!!!! has your DH started on his diet yet? I tried the Avon one last year, it's not brilliant but it's OK, the Avon stretchmark one is good though.

Piste glad you had a nice time, DH is off to Soll on Saturday, am so we are going back to Soll in June as a family to do some 'lakes and mountains' can't wait!

PBM get better soon honey xxxx big hugs xxxx

arctic Wow! Well done!

Sorry if i've forgotten anyone.

I need to set a goal, I know I need/want to be 10st, but when for?????? My June holiday seems too far away, I'm trying to think.....

{{{{{wonders off in a ponder to find diary}}}}}}

bebejones · 24/02/2010 16:26

Maybe I should just start saving for a tummy tuck & boob job now then!!!

Piste - this wether (and AF) is making me want cake so much. Or something like sticky toffee pudding & custard Going to treat myself to some Angel Delight with skimmed milk after dinner.

PBM - Poor you!

Feeling a bit bad about being cross with DH at the weekend, he had an xray on his back today & turns out he has fractured his coccyx! That'll be why his back is black & blue from the arse upwards!

GettinTrimmer · 24/02/2010 16:58

Jodie I'm the same, a big MN lurker, literally 2 hours can go by and all I've done is lurk! Although do post and start threads from time to time. Sometimes I've started threads and they must be so boring nobody's replied!

PBM Take care. Sorry if this is too nosey, of course if you'd rather not say it's OK, but did they find out if you are anemic?

bebe Ouch! for your dh. Does he have to sit on a special cushion?

Piste I don't know if this is any help, but I got myself into this when Dis started the thread by eating 4 times a day, it didn't feel too long before the next meal and wasn't too psychologically difficult that way. I sympathise with what it's like, many an attempt to lose weight has halted for me because of being sidetracked by Nigella Lawson's chocolate cheesecake (My speciality!) and other stuff.

Blondes I am a bit rubbish at learning new aerobics routines, so atm am sticking to the fat attack and toning. I am already hot and sweaty by the time I've finished that

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2010 17:42

JODIE moan away - we all have problems and what is important/stressful to you is important - never dont think that

BEBE dh was pissed and left the kitchen in a mess, so dont worry at lack of sympathy

TRIMMER the bc routine is sooooooooooooo easy and YOU GET TO SEE SEXY MEN SEMI NAKED

MABS · 24/02/2010 18:30

sorry for silence, got a bad tummy bug

bebejones · 24/02/2010 19:03

MABS & Jodie - bout tummy bugs, lot of it around, DD has one too & is ultra clingy which is very unlike her!

Jodie - he hasn't started diet yet keeps putting it off. He wanted to lose 10stone this year (although he has it to lose & always loses really fast Typical man metabolism!!) He is now on about doing the Cambridge diet. He has said it before, I will believe it when I see it!! Now the broken arse bone is just another excuse!!

Trimmer - I got shouted at when I suggeseted getting him a bum doughnut cusion!! Lots of 'crack' jokes going on here at the moment!! So mature!!!

Right must go eat the Angel delight, been saving my calories for this one!!

mummymels · 25/02/2010 01:44

skinsl ? I feel the same as you as I stayed the same this week too but I suppose with losing all this week it has to slow down at some point otherwise we would end up stick insects! Although that would take a long time to happen to me!

Arcticwind ? That?s a brilliant loss.

Laughalot ? It?s so reassuring when people make such lovely comments isnt it. Well done you and well done as well on resisting the pudding.

bebejones ? I?m afraid I?m quite lazy and haven?t tried any of those firming lotions although I probably should. Actually when I was pregnant with DS I think I used something like that and didn?t find it much use but from memory I think it was a pregnancy one so might be different to what you are looking at. I hope your DH is better soon, sounds painful.

GettinTrimmer ? I?d be really interested to see the calorie burning list thanks.

Poohbearsmom ? you have been through a lot lately with your health, don?t beat yourself up over it and get well then worry about the diet. It?s also an emotional time giving up breastfeeding. Your body maybe needs more food at the moment to get better. Hugs to you.

RatherBeOnThePiste ? You have the post holiday feeling. Not surprising coming back to this horrible weather. I am sure you will be back on track soon once you are in a routine again.

JODIEwantsanewname ? Sorry you are feeling so down too. Weight loss isn?t logical is it? At least you are losing weight this week though so you are back on track again.

MABS ? Hope you?re better soon.

I hope I haven?t missed anyone, and sorry if I have.

Kayzr · 25/02/2010 07:58
