twittertotter · 27/01/2010 15:45

well done all - seems we are making good progress.

I've managed to shift another 2.5lb this wk so taking my total to 8.5lb - only another 50 or so lbs to go then!!

stuck in bed today with nasty bug - so hoping for good loss this wk. Not been on the wii much - but am ill so will definitley get back on it once I'm better.

keep up the good work all.

Hi everyone

Lots of good losses this week. I'm not feeling 100% as had a minor operation on Monday. Having said that, being on Go Lower has been perfect as I have my package of food already delivered to me so no trying to cook myself. Watching DH attempt to cook for the kids has made me thankful for my ready delivered food!

Poohbearsmom · 27/01/2010 22:42

bebejones · 28/01/2010 08:11

Poohbearsmum - Yes it is DC2, would have tried last year but was too ill!
Re eating in evening. When I did Slimming World a few years back I was always told not to eat past 7pm as your body doesn't have enough time to burn up all the calories. But I guess it would depend on how many calories you are generally having! I do try not to eat too late though, and usually eat either with or just after DD at 5ish. I don't drink anything past 8 though as it makes me have to get up in the night!!

Poohbearsmom · 28/01/2010 09:06

Thanks bebe and good luck wit ttc

Disenchanted3 · 28/01/2010 09:12

Hope you feel better soon mummymels.

Used nearly all my points yesterday by snacking, I had teacake and 2 jaffa cakes!

I also ate a kinder egg
I thought iw ould be low points as they are thin but 3 points, 3 bloody points, am wondering if I was supposed to eat the toy too for those points

Done a few big walks this week and going to do one today so hope that helps,

going to be super good now till Monday as feel a little let down now after yesterday but didn't go over my points, just used them really really badly!

OP posts:
Kayzr · 28/01/2010 09:18

Morning,

I have been quite good so far this week. I am allowing myself a cheeseburger at Macdonalds today. It is just 6 points and I am having a salad too.

I really hope I have lost this week.

skinsl · 28/01/2010 09:45

going away tonight for some sunshine, back on Monday, might weigh in on Tues. was hoping to have lost a stone, but 8lb will have to do. my scales say another 1lb now
Will try very hard not to blow it, but it is kinda a make or break weekend for DH and I, so will just have to take it as it comes.
Good luck for this weeks weigh in everyone!

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2010 10:22

mab - sorry to hear you have been to hospital for ds, hope he is ok and one burger wont do much harm (in your time of need)

bebe- my friend (tho much heavier than you) lost 2 stone when was pregnant as ate carefully while doing ww, she ate 6more points a day and made sure she had lots of green leaft veg+calium products - so can be done

twitterotter - well done on loss

mummymela-hope op was ok and take it easy till you have recovered

poohbearsmum - no doesnt matter what time you eat, no eating after 6pm is a load of bollocks - my friend is a nurse and does shifts andoften eats weird hours

dis - you didnt go over your points, so dont beat yourself up but omg at 3p for a thin shell of kinder egg

kayzr - go girl - you need treats and 6points isnt bad for a meal, just eat tons of salad

skinsl - so at you+sun - have fun and lots of sexercise to burn away those extra calories on food/booze

i am just about to do clare again - did i mention that she exercises with 4 fit men and sometimes 3 of them take their tops off and you can see their sexy washboard stomachs?

what an incentive ladies

im kinda nervous about tomorrow, as i went so over my points on saturday as got very drunk and sooooooooooooo hungover on sunday, and tonight i am out for a curry, i will try and eat well but i love chicken passandra which is all cream - hence why i am doing clare

arcticwind · 28/01/2010 10:55

Thanks all for your support. I was itching for a pizza again last night - I think it has something to do with dh being away, so I cannot go out and get anything, and being able to order on the internet. I did as PBM said and waited it out and also drank loads and had some food - I think in reality I was just hungry because with a curry noodle soup inside me and the footie on the TV I was much better. Ds is sick tho - sore throat and temp - so i was up at 2am to give him calpol and am now really tired yaawwnn!

Mummymels and twitter hope you feel better soon, and MABS hope your ds is OK - if all you had was a burger after that trauma you are doing well!

Well done to all the continuing weight losses; I have a weigh in on Thursday for my w8for life and have lost another 1lb so back on track
skinsl good luck this weekend, hope all goes well and you enjoy the sun.
Blondes - that DVD sounds fab - I wish i had more time to exercise but by the time i get home and the kids to bed I just want to crash.

Have bought myself some 'Shape-up' trainers tho and got off the bus two stops earlier today so hopefully that will count

arcticwind · 28/01/2010 10:57

PS forgot to mention, I am in a size smaller work trousers today (£5 from Tesco) so feeling GOOD

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2010 10:58

i have heard those trainers are good as really work the calves+thighs

tbh i am knackered when i get home but needs must and it is just over an hour long, but cut into 5 segments, so you could do tummys one night and combat another -sure you can manage 10/15mins a day?

GettinTrimmer · 28/01/2010 11:13

Morning ladies

arcticwind - well done on your trousers! It's a great feeling when we see the results like this. Are those trainers any good for running?

MABS - take care, sorry to hear that

Skinsl - Where are you going (being nosey!!) Have a great few days and all the best

Kayzr - I'm the same, hoping to see 1lb this week and I'll be happy.

I was lurking on some other threads and saw a web-site recommended called FoodFocus, where you can put in your weight, and calories per day are recommended according to how much you want to lose, with a calorie counter. I've decided to give it a go.

I am off for a run today after dh comes home.

skinsl · 28/01/2010 12:17

leaving for Dubai tonight until Monday. I have never been but DH been a lot for work.
can't wait.

MABS · 28/01/2010 12:56

have a lovely time skins, i go to dubai a lot, you will love it

JODIEwantsanewname · 28/01/2010 13:31

skinsl have a great time! am so of some sun! Good luck with DH, hope it all goes well

gettingtrimmer I've used foodfocus in the past and its really good!

artic on the trousers

Mabs Hope your DS ia ok?

mummymela Hope you are OK?

dis as long as yyour in your points I wouldn't have thought it would matter too much.

I'm off to the Peak District tomorrow for the weekend, I thought booze would be my downfall, but I can't really drink on the painkillers, so I might be OK. Will do LOADS of long walks and have bought some nice low cal stuff to snack on! I'm going to weigh myself in the morning, as I'm not going to be around on Saturday,

I'm also going to Spain to see my parents on Thursday, my sis is coming from Oz on Tuesday and it's my dad's 60th on the sunday! I'm going without the boys and am so excited!!!!!

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/01/2010 13:55

You are so lucky re Dubai, go to Wild Wadi if you can - we all had a hilarious time - its near that amazing hotel shaped like a wave - I think its the Burj Al Arab hotel? Also we all loved the desert safari at sun down - Four wheel drive cars over the sand dunes, very touristy but very scary/funny indeed,
OR just fly and lie ( by a pool and enjoy!)

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2010 17:24

dubai - so

trying to decide whether to be good tonight with my curry, or just think fuck it, i did do clare!!!

MABS · 28/01/2010 17:46

go for the curry Blondes!

Thanks for all the good wishes girls re ds, basically he is disabled and will need majory surgery this year probably, a really big deal, so I am very stressed and very erratic i'm afraid

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/01/2010 18:00

sorry to hear about ds needing surgery - hope op is a sucess - and course you are going to be stressed, it is a big strain

what is wrong with him, but if you dont want to say, thats fine as well

we arew here to support you (and him)

and regards curry, do you know what, yes i am going to eat+enjoy - i never go out for currys so sod it

watch this space tom, as i will prob be cursing that i have put weight on!!

MABS · 28/01/2010 18:25

he has mind cerebral palsy and self catheterises 5 times per day, sadly not working any more so he needs a permanent catheter/bag set up for the future. big op and he doesn't want it done. he has no other problems so this is just so fuking unfair

enjoy your curry x

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/01/2010 19:27

MABS you are right, that is so unfair on your poor DS. Will you have to wait long for the operation?

MABS · 28/01/2010 19:58

apperently 5/6 months to prep him physically and emotionally

Poohbearsmom · 28/01/2010 23:34

ah mabs that is so truely unfair your poor ds
