What's the password for??

I did do SW before, many moons ago and i remember that i was able to eat loads and did in fact loose on it too, although i dont remember how much!

Having said that, i have lost about 6lbs lately without even trying and i dont know how. The only thing i can think of is that i have been ill and not eating as much as usual. I haven't been to the gym hardly at all this MONTH either so i really dont know why i'm losing!

Right, DD and DP are both asleep so i am going to try and start dinner......

CC - Thaks for your wall message. You didn't show up on my notifications and aren't on my friend list though. I'm sure it all easier when we just had pigeons and smoke signals.

andirobobo · 27/12/2009 22:46

Hello - been on SW diet on and off for most of the year - more off than on but starting again tomorrow. I believe that the PW is not readily available anymore - fair enough, but would anyone be willing to work out syns for me as and when required? I have a list of the main ones I have / use but occasionally need to check. Cheers!

Will be posting here to motivate myself over the coming weeks!

Hi andirobobo.

Well done on the maintain shrek, impressive with Christmas.

I had a great Christmas, and definitely ate less than normal, but still had a lot and had lots of wine too.

I am back on track today, so I am hoping to at least minimise the damage. Wore a dress that I hadn't fitted in to for a long time so have got an incentive to continue. Though it is difficult as the house is now filled with chocolates and biscuits.

Hope everyone else had a good christmas.

ConnieComplaint · 28/12/2009 21:55

Well done on the maintain Shrek!!! yay!!

I have my WI a day early this week - so tomorrow night is D-Day! I don't think I've over-indulged, but I have indulged a little!

I had a lovely peaceful Christmas with my family & friends. We had the ILs for dinner Christmas day, and that was lovely.

Went to my sister's for boxing day, that was a slightly more raucious affair.... shant go on too much, have been having flash backs since then.... well, it's either that or the horrors!

Although now I read it back I must've posted the password. Which means someone reported me. Which means we're being watched. Fuck this.

hi just read your recipe for low sin choc cake ! doing to make it today , iv just started slw ,can you really eat all that food and loose weight ?

andirobobo · 29/12/2009 21:43

Well I braved the gym today and weighed myself so I have a starting weight now. I have digital scales at home but they can vary upto 2lbs if you move slightly, so they are not accurate!

Will be writing everything down for the first few weeks just to ensure I do it right!

Hope all christmas WI's are not too painful!

QandA · 31/12/2009 10:37

Chubbymummy, yep you can eat a lot on SW, that's why I like it

andirobobo, I was thinking of getting some scales, but not sure if having some at home would be a good idea, I wonder if i would be forever weighing myself. Good idea to write it down for a few weeks, I found it really useful.

How did you get on Connie? It is definitely harder over Christmas, food just seems to be everywhere. I have tried my best but know I have indulged a fair bit. I don't remember what your post said, but didn't think you had said the password, have you not had an email explaining why your post was deleted?

mrswill · 31/12/2009 17:51

sugarlumps · 02/01/2010 13:35

hi everyone im back again lol! hope you all had a good xmas and new year, now its jan im back on the plan! and i will stick to it this time :D lol xx

littleoldme · 02/01/2010 13:48

Mrs W - If you are doing original days you may be craving carbs. I'm exactly like that unless I do green of extra easy.

lorrycat · 03/01/2010 09:22

Hi everyone

I've lost over a stone with SW before but thought i could continue on my own and save the money.

But its just not for me...i need that threat of being weighed in every week lol.

So i'm going back to meetings on tuesday but am trying to kick start good habits now. I refuse to weigh myself becuase my scales are cheap and useless. But i reckon im 15.5 stones .

I'm 26 mum of one DS (17mo) and would really like to lose the weight.

Thinking i'm starting things good by having juiced pineapple, apple and oranges for breakfast.

Bobbybee · 03/01/2010 11:06

Hi. Can I join here please?
I'd like to start sw and have read up loads about it. The 1st meeting I can go to is on thurs am but until then I'd like to try by myself. I'm going to do extra easy as that seems to make the most sense for family meals.

I'm going to be mostly eating;

28g porridge and fruit for breakfast
baked potato with baked beans/chickpea with cous cous and salad for lunches
chicken and rice/pasta and lean mince/seafood and veg/other recipes from the mag for dinners
cup of tea and small treat after the kids are in bed

Can I ask a question please? How many Syns in a tblsp of olive oil? I'd prefer to cook evening meals with olive oil rather than frylite.

tullytwo · 03/01/2010 12:34

As far as I know bobbybee its 6 syns or a HEB-I am the same as you and would prefer using olive oil instead of frylite-horrible stuff!

I am rejoining tomorrow-dreading the WI!

ConnieComplaint · 03/01/2010 15:44

Hi Q and A. I lost 1lb over Christmas. No, I've not had an e-mail but I sort of know why anyway

I will still read & keep up with the thread, but I hate the feeling of being 'watched' by a so-called 'guru'.

QandA · 03/01/2010 18:42

Hello all, especially those just starting out

Connie, you have done so well to lose a 1lb over Christmas. I am surprised that MN have deleted a post without explaining why, either there needs to be a warning at the top of the thread or a message posted to say we can't post it. Don't let it put you off posting, especially as you are doing so well.

I have tried very hard in the face of much Christmas food, today has not been too good. I have not felt well and had 2 mini cakes, a slice of Christmas cake and 2 slices of pizza. WI next week should be interesting! Meals have been fine though, so am delusional hoping that I will maintain.

littleoldme · 03/01/2010 20:52

I'm with you there Connie.

CJMommy · 03/01/2010 20:58

Hello Can I join?
Going to SW on tuesday for the first time. Have lost 1.5 stones a few years ago with WW and put 0.5 back on since having DS. However, still need to lose two stones! This thread seems quite motivational having just read through it so it would be good to have the extra support!!
Hope you all had a good christmas!

Bobbybee · 03/01/2010 21:26

Thanks Tullytwo. Thats not too bad for a recipe.

lorrycat · 04/01/2010 21:24

Shame on me...i've got it into my head that i'm not officially staring SW until my meeting on thursday and so iv just eaten a crunchie, a fudge bar and a flake from a leftover xmas selection box

But they were delish!!
