LOL octupus, thats my aim!

shinybootsofleather · 08/07/2010 08:00

Does anyone know if seeded wholemeal bread can count as a HEXB? I have been eating this all week and only lost half a pound on Tuesday's weigh-in. I am wondering if I should have counted this as syns instead of a healthy extra now as I can't find seeded bread mentioned in the book. I think copious drinking and cheeky chicken kebab on Saturday may not have helped however!

Firawla · 08/07/2010 22:02

hi can i join? i just joined the online sw yesterday. i saw on the first page here someone mentioned about a yoghurt list, can anyone say some suitable for veg yoghurts which are allowed on free? because muller lights have gelatine

onadietcokebreak · 09/07/2010 16:05

Doing a bit better this week...2lbs lost but couldnt bear to stay to group.

Have started having banana and muller light for breakfast instead for cereal so I can have a sandwich for lunch if I want.

The meetings are definitely cheesy, but if you look at it a bit like a comedy program (ie. Fatfighters on Little Britain) it makes it much more bearable. Groups can vary so it might be worth trying another in your area if you don't get on with it. I am rather chuffed with myself as I lost 3 pounds last week and got a shiny sticker and a load of fruit for being Slimmer of the Week. Woop woop!

Dazmum · 14/07/2010 11:37

Well done shinyboots! The only time that happened to me is when I lost about 6lbs in one week because I had had a tummy bug! I did say that's why it was, and felt a bit especially as about 3lbs went on again the following week!

I am going to get weighed tonight, so fingers crossed, would be glad of any loss at all. Do your consultants always suggest you have a target for the following week?

shinybootsofleather · 15/07/2010 10:49

They always ask us to set a target. I actually optimistically suggested 3lbs the week beforehand. I have about 5 stone to lose, so I will probably have bigger losses to start with though. I am surprised I lost that much as I had 2 days at mum's eating ice-cream, crisps and drinking red wine .

Dazmum · 15/07/2010 18:20

I lost half a pound this week, which I was pleased with really, as my losses have been very slow and few for a while. I had a phase where I put on some every week for about three weeks which was really awful, but it was because I wasn't doing it properly so not surprising! I've managed to lose a little every week for the past three so hopefully steadily going in the right direction. The only thing I can put it down to, is not weighing myself every day, which sounds mad, but it used to dishearten me I think if I had been 'good' and not lost or gone down and then up again. I always told myself I needed to do it to keep me on the right track, but I think I was wrong, and the consultant was right. Damn...

shinybootsofleather · 16/07/2010 10:57

Agree about the scales obsession Dazmum. I am weighing myself about 2-3 times a day at the moment. It's not ideal and bloody de-motivating when you see you've gained. I find I am still losing with SW so should really wait until Tuesday's weigh-in. Is anyone else having problems with bread at the moment? I am craving white bread and butter big time mmmmmm!

Dazmum · 17/07/2010 15:13

I used to find sometimes that my weight would suddenly go down a pound one day and up two the next, and it always seemed to be on weigh in day that it went up, so now I just do it on the morning of club day so I'm prepared for the shock or nice surprise.

Bread and butter has always been my 'thing' which I want to grab when I'm hungry, and it's bread that sometimes makes me feel bloated, but I can't help it! I usually treat myself to a bit after I come back from weigh in, because it doesn't count then does it , and with benecol spread because it's good for your heart!! Don't do what I did and buy a breadmaker.

hi, does anyone know if they have stopped the success express books? I don't seem to have one in my new pack. If not, can someone remind me what the principles are please? Is it that you just cut out one healthy extra? I can't remember and I didn't get the codeword this week. tia

shinybootsofleather · 21/07/2010 08:03

Arrgh! Just been weighed and I've put on 2lbs. I had loads of booze and a takeaway at the weekend and know where it's come from, but I am just so p#ssed off with myself. Came home and started crying at DH last night like a hormonal eejit. I have about 5 stone to lose and it seems like it'll never come off. I have lost 1 stone 8lbs so far. Started in Feb 2010 on the GP referral and did a 12 week block and restarted at the end of June after maintaining whilst not on it. I just can't seem to stop cheating and a surprise visit from my friend this weekend really messed things up for me. Grrr, need to slap my own wrist.

Thanks octopus! I have just weighed myself this morning and have lost 3lbs which is slightly confusing. I haven't been particularly good but have been doing the 30 Day Shred. The human body is a strange thing. I just get really pissed off with myself when I gain as I have so much to lose (5 stone ) and if I don't work my arse off (quite literally) it will take forever!

shinybootsofleather · 22/07/2010 11:00

I want to ask SW people about Mugshots. I do the EE plan and someone mentioned them to me as a syn-free or 2 syn snack (for the cheese flavour). I am not convinced about them as they are 200-300 calories each. Has anyone had them on a regular basis and still lost weight? If you're on EE, do you need to have some superfree food at the same time as your Mugshot?
