Just have a small bowl of cereal, may not be free, but it's not bad for you either. At this time of night that's about as healthy as it gets!

I lost 3lbs this week, which I am delighted about

Hello

Had my first weigh in tonight and lost 5.5lbs! Am very happy with that!

Before going I thought "i'm gonna get chips after club" but now am making myself a meal from the SW mag!

Well done Beth on your loss, makes you wanna keep going doesn't it .

You made me LOL at the whole chips thing, I used to do that too!

I'm having chips tonight, but SW chips! Not bad, but not the same as chippy chips!

Well done Beth and cuppaT. I weighed in yesterday morning and was so disappointed to find I had gained three pounds. I had honestly stuck to the plan and checked the syn value in everything before I ate it.
I'm beginning to doubt if I am doing the EE plan properly.

Hi all x

I am going to my 1st meeting tomorrow evening but have been doing EE for a couple of days as my DSIL does it and has given me the guidelines.
I did cambridge diet in 2008 and lost 7 1/2 stone in 6mths but fell pregnant with twins straight after and regained 4 stone

I went back on cambridge and lost 2st for my wedding in december and then went back on it after christmas but decided that I wanted to lose it the healthy way this time so stopped on saturday and started sw on sunday.

I expect it will take a few weeks for my body to adjust and I doubt I will have a loss for a few weeks but I am ok with that because at least I am learning better eating habits!

I am finding things ok but do have to stop myself from skipping my syns, after spending so much time on a starvation diet its weird being told to eat so much lol.

I think I will have about 2 1/2 st to lose by the time I weigh tomorrow so will be around for a while and am looking forward to getting to know you all x

Mmm I love SW chips. Q&A, defo recommend them, especially if you give them a good shake before baking them. They really do satisfy a chip craving! But no, not the same as chippy chips!

Porky don't let the little gain put you off, is it time of month? Could be retaining a little water maybe?

Hello readyfor. God I don't know how you did cambridge for that long?! I did it for a week and couldn't stand it.

Hi readyfor, sounds like a good plan to try and aim for a more long term weight loss now, especially as you have managed to lose a large proportion on the cambridge diet and only have 2.5 stones to lose.

It is worth registering on the SW online 'lifeline' as you can put your target in and it shows each week as you moe towards it and gives a timeline of when you would hit your target.

I find it useful as I can think, oh by March I will be...

Porky, I can imagine you are disappointed, but at my group, some people seem to not lose for a week or two and then lose a big chunk, almost as if their body takes a while to catch up with the diet iyswim. don't give up! Maybe you could ask your group leader to look over your diet plan, just to make you feel more confident about what you are eating. I do think though, you will probably just see the benefit next week.

It's very quiet on here, have we all got our heads in the biscuit tin?

I made a big pan of veggie soup/slop yesterday. Just some leftover veggies and some fresh potatoes to bulk it out. It was lovely, I ate the lot! Mixed it with mint sauce in a bowl, delish! I was so full, I could only drink half a cup of tea at bedtime. [I am greedy emoticon]

We're having chinese tonight. Between 2 of us and DS (3) we are having:

Chow mein - 7 syns
Beef or chicken in black bean sauce - 5 syns
Chicken in oyster sauce - 4.5 syns
Egg fried rice - 4 syns

Not sure whether to get chop suey. In the directory it lists a 300g portion as 5.5 syns but that's with plain noodles included in the portion. Plain noodles are free so I am guessing that means a full porting of just chop suey would be 11 syns. Think I'll give it a miss.

It's very quiet - where are you all? Having another chinese tonight. Duck in black bean sauce tonight. Not sure whether it might be a couple more syns than chicken? I was naughty last week and pinched a chicken mini roll. I didn't even like it bleurgh!

How can I satisy that time of the month chocolate craving?

It's driving me mad at the moment and I neeeeed something!

Have weigh in tonight but don't think I've lost anything in the last 2 weeks (had a hockey match last week so couldn't get weighed)

I've also started a new job and they don't have a lot for me to do so have been having a bag of crisps mid afternoon and the odd hot chocolate from the free drinks machine

I've signed up to my old SW group this week as I've been trying to follow the plan on my own (and failing) for the last few months.

Amazing how parting with a bit of cash and the threat of group humiliation motivates you not to eat crap

Am impressed with all your losses, I lost 1 and half stones with SW a few years ago pre DS and am now back to my heaviest; serious action is needed.

Morning all,

Well I managed to lose 1.5 in the last 2 weeks so I have lost half a stone in total

I think muller lights are a good option but also want something to munch at my desk. Will have to get some raisins or something I think!

I was eating better til the last 2 days but think I'm going to have to stop bringing money to work with me to stop me buying anything from the onsite shop!
