Just seen this advertised in National Press.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Is it pricey?

More to the point, Does it really work?

I'm intrigued..... I had never heard of this programme before...

Thanks Friendlypizzaeater, reckon i'll go with the assortment boxes and get some other boxes of foods that I tried at the open event that I know i like.
Just going to be counting down the days till my consultation now, bit gutted I can't get my appointment earlier than the 24th Feb but hey ho.
Signed up to a gym as well so going to go tomorrow and try and get into the habit of going couple times a week x

kurves · 26/01/2010 10:18

weight watchers does work but takes time and does not work for every on the success that i see with weight watchers is that you have to do a lot of exercise. i go for my consultation in the morning but a bit confused about the cost i thought that i paid for my blood test but now told that i have to pay another 90 quid for that so i will just try to sort that today as they say that i would have to fast for 12 hours .

sailsclo · 26/01/2010 16:21

im glad im not the only one confused about money!

when i phoned and booked my first appointment i had to pay £85 over the phone, which they said was for my consultation, then when i had my consultation and my bloods done they charged me another £180.

If i remember i will ask them when i go in this week!

kurves · 26/01/2010 16:41

yes cause they said that this was for my bloods and consultation when i paid over the phone. we will se when i go.

kurves · 27/01/2010 08:39

cenglish · 27/01/2010 19:46

ah kurves, what a shame, did they not book you an appointment there and then

notapizzaeater · 27/01/2010 20:08

Just had 200g swede chips with piri piri powder on them - they where fab !!!

sailsclo · 27/01/2010 21:58

evening every one!
got my first treatment tomorrow!
im gonna take all my empty wrappers with me, as no idea what most of them were, so i wrote on them what i thought of them, hopefully they will be able to tell me what ive been eating all week! and help me to re-order.

i tried the suit on tonight, OMG...not a pretty sight, and how tight was that! when you have the treatment, do you keep your underwear on???

dont know how im gonna fit the meals in tomorrow, as I have to go by bus, i'll have a packet at 5am then another at 9.30am after taking kids to school. then go for the bus, but by the time i get home again it will be nearly 3pm, so thats a long break inbetween.

im also worried as i still need to wee at least every ten minutes, so how will i get through the treatment???

SmileyMylee · 27/01/2010 22:54

I'd forgotten about the suit - not the most flattering of garments. Normally you don't wear underwear under the suit.

I will be starting again next week but am determined to lose the final 1.5 stones and phase off properly.

Have just ordered loads of size 12 clothes as motivation.

However having been off the diet for a month, I have to admit that I have put weight on. I need to learn the lessons from the phasing off stage if I am to keep this off. However my DH weighed himself last night and he is exactly at his target weight from 4 months ago so it has worked for him.

sailsclo · 28/01/2010 07:32

WOW fantastic, i bet his very happy about that!
im sure you'll get there, soon. so have you been eating to many bad things? or just too much?
It must be hard going back to this after a month off? ive only done it for a week but i think if i started eating real food, i wouldnt come back to this. the kids had toast yesterday and the smell alone was doing me in!!!

you'll be fine, you must only have a few weeks left.

right im off to get the kids ready for school/pre school then i'll be off for the bus, so back here tonight!

cenglish · 28/01/2010 08:34

do you keep your underware on, when its your time of the month?

derevkofan · 28/01/2010 09:02

They let you wear your knickers at that time of the month but the rest of the time, no undies! I tend to make up the drink sachets and put them in a sealed beaker in my bag if I'm going to be out of the house for a while. Have also bought a small flask so that I can do the same with the hot choc. It makes sure that I don't go over the 4 hou maximum between sachets.

cenglish · 28/01/2010 09:30

Thank you derevkofan. How are you feeling now? do you still feel sick and dizzy?

anju72 · 28/01/2010 11:47

Hi, Thank you for all the information. Was convinced to go in for a consultation. I begin my first treatment tom and will pick the sachets. Feeling a bit nervous. I have 13 kgs to lose and have been give 2 months which I think is a very short time considering that I have been unsuccessful in losing this in the last 4 years.
I have made notes of all the foods you recommend and creative recipes.
Its a bit of a challenge as I work 7am - 7pm and will have to prepare and carry all the sachets. So any tips on how to do this would be great.
Thanks

cenglish · 28/01/2010 12:05

pizzaeater, how do you make the chips and where do you get that powder?

notapizzaeater · 28/01/2010 12:54

I just cut the swede up into "chips" and sprinkled on piri piri powder and a drop of garlic infused olive oil and baked for 30 mins.

The piri piri powder I have seen in Sainsburys but I got mine from a poundshop this weekend, it has 4 diff flavours in it, piri piri, Steak seasoming, BBQ & lemon something - they are all tasty and make the difference.

If I am out I carry water in my bottle thing and a sachet and just mix it up and give it a good shake whilst I am out.

anju72 · 28/01/2010 13:22

What drinks do you recommend? I have to attend an all day conference. Will not be able to carry any food in. So can I survive on just the drinks until I get home. I can make them up and carry the bottles.

cenglish · 28/01/2010 14:14

HOT chocolate cold, its like a milkshake

SmileyMylee · 28/01/2010 15:01

I'd consider getting an actifry, the swede chips taste great from these - and they only use the 1 spoon of oil. I dust mine with paprika.

Re drinks - I lived off peach iced tea for ages. I also loved the vanilla dessert made up as a milshake - better if you have a blender and some ice.

Sailsclo - in my month off I eat and drank everything. I went a bit mad over Christmas and then I discovered I was pregnant (unfortunately I've since lost the baby which is why I'm going back on the diet.) When I had morning sickness, I became a bit of a carb monster. If I didn't eat toast or crackers I just threw up. I actually had to force it down. I'm actuall looking forward to going back on the diet (strange I know), but it did make shopping and cooking much easier.

notapizzaeater · 28/01/2010 15:57

I'd second the actifry, I've had mine 18 months and love it.

I make the vanilla dessert up and add a strong black coffee to make a latte.

SmileyMylee - sorry to hear about the baby

kurves · 28/01/2010 17:03
