Just seen this advertised in National Press.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Is it pricey?

More to the point, Does it really work?

I'm intrigued..... I had never heard of this programme before...

Hi all
zak08 looks like your on course for a good weight loss! Keep up the good work. I liked the mushroom soup as well, what veg did you roast. I am ok with the pills but feel for you and anyone else who has a problem swallowing them as there is a lot and some a quite big! I really look forward to my bowl of rhubarb and vanilla dessert so far best meal today. I am not so hungry today so hopefully that does get better with time. Good luck for Wednesday.

ZAK08 · 14/08/2011 20:03

Hi Lindylou

I usually do roast veggies consisting of aubergine, courgettes and asapragus and at the last minute give them a squeeze of lemon and some paprika and they.

I have been a bit haphazard with the timings today as I had a few appointments so by the time I got back I skipped one sachet.

oh well onto dinner. having the potato cake. Its ok with lots of spices otherwise I think I need to experiment with this a little more to like it. If not I will give it a miss for next week

thanks for the wishes for Wednesday shall let you know how I get on

First time I've used the message board.
Have been on the alizone diet now for 5 weeks and only lost 10 lbs
Very dissapointed
I've followed the diet, but no great losses as promised last week only lost 1lb.
anyone else have this problem

eek1 · 16/08/2011 23:19

Hi popsycat

I'm also having trouble getting on the alizonne forum
What is the URL
and do I just make up my avatar name
Help!!!!!!

ZAK08 · 17/08/2011 09:08

Hi Eek1

I am surprised that in 5 weeks you have only lost 10 lbs. Are you drinking enough water for your body to get rid of the waste fats.

Do you do any exercise?

I know I would be displeased if my weight loss was slow after all if I wanted slow weight loss I could have gone to a slimming club and eaten other foods but I chose this route and it is an expensive route so I am hoping it works. i am on Day 10 of the plan and am yet to have a weigh in as I have been away with work so could not fit in Day 7. So lets see how it goes. Shall let you know my weigh in loss hopefully

About the alizonne forum - you dont need to add anything in the URL section. You just add in whatever avatar name you choose so you can keep it is as EEK1 or have something else

Hope this helps

Lindylou2 · 18/08/2011 18:57

Hi all, well just completed my first week, get weighed tomorrow! Felt sick all day yesterday but ok today. Really fed up with veg now so must get the password for the alizonne blog so I can have a look at what people are doing. I think I would find it a lot easier if it was just the packets.
Hi Zak08' how is it going, have you found it hard with being away?
Hi Eek1 I would be fed up aswell, have you spoken to he doctor to find out what is goin on?

ZAK08 · 18/08/2011 21:56

Hi Lindylou

I lost 6.2kg for my first 10 days so was v v pleased.

So far it has been going ok. I need to plan better for my days and be a little more creative rather than just eat or drink a sachet

Hopefully will do this over the weekend

Good luck with you weigh in tomorrow

Lindylou2 · 20/08/2011 17:14

Hi Zak congratulations on your mega weight loss Im so impressed. I lost 6 lbs not bad but not great, hope to do better this week. I have got the password for the alizonne blog now and have seen you on there. Keep up the fantastic work.

eek1 · 30/08/2011 15:56

Hi every one
Yes I've spoken to the therapist and she says that everyone is different and that my loss is OK not with me I might add
I'm going to up my water intake although at the moment I drink about 2 and 1/2 litres
It's now my7th week and I've lost 1stone 8 ozs Still a long way to go
Everyone seems to be doing better than me CONGRATULATIONS EVERONE!!!!
I've always had problems with slow weith loss but at least I am loosing every week.

marusia · 03/09/2011 21:24

I have started the diet 2 days ago. Have noticed few things: not to go without food for longer than 3 hrs; to get more sweet meals than I did; to walk at least 30 min.
I did all kind of diets before: Atkins, Lighter Life, Dukan, etc. This one must work if only because it is for much longer than just weight loss.
Have 4 months to complete to lose 5 stones. Can't wait to get to those dresses and get rid of pains and aches in my ankles. Too heavy for my bones. Or too short for my weight?

ZAK08 · 05/09/2011 22:58

Welcome maurisa

I am currently on week 3 going into week 4

My losses so far have been as follows

Week 1 6.2 kg

Week 2 2.5 kg

Week 3 2.0 kg

So far I am very happy with the progress I have made in such a short space of time. I agree the feeling of getting into smaller sizes is such a key motivator and one which I am sure we can all achieve so good luck to us all

Let us know how you are getting on

Hello all - Im on day 20 of Alizzone - have been reading through the entries on this site dating back to 2009 - very encouraging. After a relatively easy first week I am finding things progressively harder now. I lost 3kg in week 1, 2kg in week 2 and I have my next weigh in tomorrow morning. Unfortunately I do not think I have actually lost anything this week. I am very disappointed as I have not fallen off the wagon once! I started off going to the gym at least 5 times each week but have felt so weak and tired for the past 5 days that I have not been able to muster up the energy to exercise at all :( I am hoping that your positivity and success stories will motivate me as right now my head feels fuzzy and I am very lethargic. Also my period is over 2 weeks late - did anyone else experience this at all? I am usually regular like clockwork (I have doen the test and no Im not pregnant!!). I have 15 kg to lose overall and I suppose I was hoping things would be happening a little faster (the disease of 15 years of crash diets and compulsive eating).

sachet tips:
-I love the vanilla desert - make it with a wisk to make it extra fluffly then put in the fridge for 30 minutes - almost as nice as angel delight!! you can also add cinammon or freshly squeezed lemon on even coffee to add an extra twist.
-Personally my staple daily luncha and dinner is the mushroom soup - tastes just like cuppa soup.
-I try to avoid aspartane in general as it isnt great for you and does increase cellulite - its hard to avoid it totally on this diet as it is in all of the sweet sachets but since finding this out I have tried to limit my sweet sachets to twice a day.

Good luck everyone and keep losing!!!

ya30 · 13/09/2011 20:23

PS - how do you all feel about the salt tablets? half way through week 2 I started to feel very bloated so i stopped taking them - do you think this could be why my weight loss has been slow?

Chloemavis · 21/09/2011 14:48

Hi,

Just seen this diet and have been reading all your comments! Seems to good to be true although a tad expensive!! For all those on this plan are you pleased with the results and would you recommned it - also are there any hidden costs??

Ta

GemDarcy · 29/10/2011 21:53

Hi all,

I'm new to this and have found your comments very useful. I have started on the diet today & have got through the day! Feeling a little sick & hungry now but I think the salt tablets are repeating on me.

How are people doing? I've noticed there haven't been many updates recently.

SAKO · 09/11/2011 16:13

I have just started this diet today. I have been told 13 weeks for phase 1 but hoping that it will be quicker as have a high BMR. Happy to share progress a long the way. Just downloaded the recipe book off the forum, so hoping that meals will be ok

whatever1 · 01/12/2011 11:57

ive been on this diet for ten weeks and have lost
four and a half stone.
on this diet you have treatments to get rid of the
loose skin and that is what makes it expensive.I was offered
a gastric band by my gp for free but then may have had to pay to
have skin removed (£10-30k)
so at a average of £220 a week the diet starts to look good
value. Its more like £250 a week to start with (blood tests ect) but
gets cheaper as you move through the phases.
I am at the rothwell clinic (leeds).

ShazzyDesires · 08/12/2011 16:05

Hello People,

I am new to this and have signed up as starting Alizone, got my appointment with Doctor tomorrow... Is it really hard to stick to???? I struggle with comitting to a diet as am a picker. Only need to lose 3 Stones.

AGal · 11/12/2011 15:04

Thank you to everyone who has posted here in the past. I've read all and am excited to be going for blood tests etc tomorrow. It's quite a long journey so am travelling tonight rather than on Monday am.

I have over 100lbs to release to the wild - and it's time. Time to shed that weight and time to start eating more veg and salad than other stuff. I'm going to take it off and keep it off.

I look forward to seeing you on the Alizonne website forum and touching base here from time to time.

cswifty · 12/12/2011 13:31

Hi everyone. I went for my blood tests on thursday, but I'm not going to start until after Christmas. I have just over 3 stone to loose, l Can't wait to start now. how does everyone manage at work? also i have a 3 day conference to attend in january, is it easy to manage without the use of a microwave?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

ShazzyDesires · 14/12/2011 11:07

Hi cswifty,

I also have just under 3 stones to lose and am starting on 3rd January.
Have had my blood test and am really excited.
Can't give you any advice or tips on preparing your meals yet... I'm lucky as work in office and have a microwave.
I have made sure I have no events or important long distance meeting for 3 months.
I have been told I should be my ideal weight in 9-12 weeks!!!!!

ShazzyDesires · 14/12/2011 11:08

Hi Agal,

Are you starting in the new year?
If so maybe we can help each other along the way.
I am an emotional eater and asked everyone around me to support me and help me through!!!!

cswifty · 17/12/2011 04:54

Hi ShazzyDesires,
Thanks for your message. I have a microwave at work, but have a 3 day conference that i can't miss. But will drink cold shakes if I have too and take salad with me.
I have also been told 10-12 weeks to lose 3 stone. I really hope this is right, it would be amazing. I have a lot of lovely size 12 clothes waiting to be worn again!!
Which clinic are you at? I'm at Leeds.

AGal · 18/12/2011 18:26

Hi Shazzy

I've started. It didn't seem to make sense to wait once I'd decided to go ahead.

Re emotional eating: It's worth getting some hypnotherapy to address some of those issues. The issues will come up as you reduce. There's also a book called the Beck Diet Solution that Disappearing Dawn recommends.

I'm on day 4 and noticed how often I just had a litle bit of this or that whilst cooking, getting something out of the fridge etc. It's non negotiable to comply with all the Alizonne rules. So that's my commitment. 100%. Most of the sachets I've had are OK - except the tomato soup, which I loathed. so I endorse the recommendations to get some additonal sachets and mixed boxes to have flexibility in the early weeks.

My take having read much of the Alizonne forum is that Alizonne is a structured way to loose lots of weight because you have regular protein/amino acid intakes, and it teaches you to eat more salad and veggies without fat. To be one of those who successfully keeps it off, you have to integrate that into a new normal way of eating and (not) drinking. The great thing is that you know from the MEDgem how many calories you need for stasis.

The treatments help people feel better about themselves by contouring the body. I'm expecting some loose skin as I have so much to loose. However I am grateful there is a way to make it better than it would be otherwise.

Having started, it also requires good organisation, and planning of meals.

see you all in the forum,

Ali
