Just seen this advertised in National Press.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Is it pricey?

More to the point, Does it really work?

I'm intrigued..... I had never heard of this programme before...

very good will try that one evening, thank you notapizzeater

sailsclo · 22/02/2010 20:56

Oh if i remember i'll see if they have an oatmeal in the swap box this week.

cenglish · 23/02/2010 08:24

ok so here is my problem, i am on phase 2 (doctor said i should be on this 2 weeks), so by friday i would of done 1 week on phase 2. I have lost over a stone which is wonderful as it would of taken me ages on WW or SW, but this has all gone from my upper body, my thighs are still big.

My target is 10st 4lbs, but doctor said if i wasnt happy i could lose more when i get to my target, so i looks like i might have to aim for more weight lost for these babies to go down

AM i making any sense? ha ha

notapizzaeater · 23/02/2010 11:46

Will you not loose it quick off your legs ? I don't reduce my bust at all (and I'm a J cup) I just loose it on the back measurement - I know eventually they will reduce but it will be the very last thing - so I look more and more out of proportion My BF saw me today and commented on my boobs (now my tummy has reduced they look huge !!!!)

cenglish · 23/02/2010 12:53

DO any of you guys do any exercise? just wondering does it speed things up.

i am joinin a gym today (hate gyms) so hopefully that will help with the thighs

derevkofan · 23/02/2010 15:06

I do taebo and have an extra sachet each day as the doc said that you need to be careful that you don't start burning muscle instead of fat by not taking in enough protein to support the exercise. I also had a very high initial BMI so I was advised to have an extra saceht to stop the hunger pangs!

cenglish · 23/02/2010 15:11

ok thank you for that advice

lilocas · 23/02/2010 20:45

Hi,

I have been reading this threat for a while now and decided to take the plunge! Today I went in for bloods etc and next week seeing doc. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what food looks like? a silly question really but I thought it would be liquid type food and the lady at the clinic said I can bake it!! So very confused!! Thanks

notapizzaeater · 23/02/2010 20:52

The majority of the ones I like are drinks, hot choc, latte (made with vanilla sachet), orange and grapefruit. I personally don't like the omlettes, pancakes, pizza etc but other folk swear by them. I can stomach the oatmeal with adding ginger to it.

Good luck

lilocas · 23/02/2010 21:11

Thanks Notapizzaeater. I should start next week... How's it working for you?

sailsclo · 23/02/2010 22:17

Oh mine have shrunk a bit, havent been measured since b4 i started on the diet (im a 38E) but ive got my bra done up on the tightest hooks, ive had to shorten the straps and my bra isnt as snug as it was................pre kids i could get away without wearing a bra, wonder if i'll ever be that small again!!!

my legs havent lost any thing though, im gonna ask about having the ultra sound on them, as well as my stomach

sailsclo · 23/02/2010 22:29

lilocas...... good luck, let us know how it goes!

I think the most 'normal' sachet is the hot chocolate! I like all the soups, even the fish one but apparently im the only one at my clinic that has ever ordered the fish soup.
I didnt like the potato bake or the chocolate dessert! on your first go, they may suggest you buy the mixed boxes of food rather than one box of each, I did that, then that way if theres one you dont like, your not left with a whole box full!

Ive been having the soups, hot choc, cappucino, caramel drink and omlettes. ive got used to these now so just stick to these ones but now and then i take a couple of sachets back and have a nose through the swap box!

As i said to Dawn earlier, i made a terrible mistake this morning, still half asleep, i got my hot chocolate sachet, measured the water, shook it, cooked it, poured it in the cup, took a mouthful and nearly fell over........... it wasnt hot chocolate....... fish soup for breakfast is none to nice!!!!!!

notapizzaeater · 24/02/2010 18:26

Woo, hoo !! Lost 6.6 lbs this week and they were offering cooked samples at the clinic so I ate enough for one of my meals !!!!

lilocas · 24/02/2010 20:06

Well done! I am hoping for an average weight loss of around 4lbs per week to get to my goal. Is this realistic?

notapizzaeater · 24/02/2010 20:38

Yes, they quote between 4-5 lbs a week average and thats what I'm doing

anju72 · 25/02/2010 08:43

It depends. If you are getting close to a healthy BMI, the weight loss slows down. So I am averaging 3lbs a week and have lost totally 11 lbs in 4weeks. I now have around 18 lbs more to go. But since you see a progressive loss over the weeks, it keeps you motivated.

anju72 · 25/02/2010 08:46

I make up the sheep's cheese pack, mix it with chopped spinach and herbs and spices. Then add it to 2 large portobello mushrooms and grill them. I eat this with salad.

The potato pie - I mix it with chopped allowed veg (spring onion tops, peppers) and I make falafel.

Tizi · 25/02/2010 13:20

Hi everyone, finally had my doc consultation yesterday and bloods etc. I need to lose 3st 9lbs and the doc reckons it will take me about 16wks to get to goal weight and then additional time to stabilise and phase off.

I will start the plan on Saturday to give me the weekend to get used to making the food and that and I?ve booked in 4 weeks? worth of treatments, the first one will be on 5th March.

I got 7packs of food, the hot chocolate, pizza, potato pie, smoked bacon omelette, sheeps cheese, cold drink assortment and soup assortment. I had a hot chocolate last night which was yummy

Really excited now

sailsclo · 25/02/2010 16:59

Hi tizi.... good idea to get extra packs so you can vary day to day. did you try them first, as a lot of people dont like some of the sachets. although you should be able to use the swap box in your clinic if theres some you dont like.

they messed up my dates at the clinic, so the panic about me not losing enough is over and apparently im doing great! 1 stone 4 pound since 21st Jan!!!!!

dont really feel any different, or feel that i look any different, BUT can take my jeans of without undoing them now, and before they were a tad tight!

do any of you use the alizonne forum???

sailsclo · 25/02/2010 16:59

also had doouble treatments today!

notapizzaeater · 25/02/2010 19:49

I use the forum, am skinnyminny on there ....

Took one of the blinis from the swop box - will I like it ????

sailsclo · 26/02/2010 13:36

you will probably like it, cos i hated it!!! lol x

anju72 · 01/03/2010 15:26

Cenglish - how is the weight loss coming along in phase 2. Have doc appt tom. Still stuck on 61kgs. Losing a few grams a week now. 53kg looks distant.

cenglish · 01/03/2010 16:59

lost 0.6kg this on friday, not much but better then nothing or a gain.

did a bad thing on saturday, went out (in my size 12 jeans i must add) drank water most of the night, but as my friends got more drunk i felt the need for drink and had 2 white wine spritzers. But i did try to make up for it the next day by going to the gym on sunday for 2 hours.

derevkofan · 02/03/2010 11:24

I'm seeing slower weight loss on phase 2 as well - 1kg last week and I think probably less than that when I next go. It's frustrating but we all need to focus on total weight loss rather than what happens on individual weeks, however, hard that is! I've not been interested in alcohol but I could kill for a sandwich!
