Just seen this advertised in National Press.

Has anyone ever tried it?

Is it pricey?

More to the point, Does it really work?

I'm intrigued..... I had never heard of this programme before...

for hair and nails

cenglish · 12/02/2010 16:21

had blood test today, which wasnt bad, i didnt have at the start as i am terrified of them, so they let me off, but i will need to have one 2 weeks into the diet.

so i decided while the needle was in i might as well get the blood test that tests for everything.

cant wait to see do i have a slow thyroid, which i think i do

Hello everyone
i followed this chat thread before i signed up to the alizonne programme. It has been very helpful in giving me tips on how to use the sachets etc etc
Anyhow i have 3 stone to lose and i am determined that i am going to succeed this time. i started the programme just over a week ago and i have lost 12 lbs!!!
Sorry i cant do kilos - they seem far larger.
I sort of feel healthier in myself but my clothes seem no larger so i guess the loss must be water and extremities - face, arms, legs.
keep up the good work and looking forward to hearing how you get on.

sailsclo · 13/02/2010 16:09

hello resolved! WOW well done you, 12lb in your first week!
I lost 8 then 2 then 2, and I dont feel any different either! Ive got a few more stone to lose than you though! which clinic are you at?

Found any foods that you really like or really hate yet?

keep up the good work

derevkofan · 14/02/2010 08:38

I have lost 2 of the 3 stone I have to lose and it's only now that my clothes are becoming looser - about to start phase 2 which, as a veggie, I'm not looking forward to as the evening meal options are very limited indeed. I can't wait for a slice of toast in phase 3! 12 Lbs in the first week is brill!

Babyonboardinthesticks · 14/02/2010 09:21

Any diet where you eat fewer calorie than you expend will make you lose weight (barring a very few people with medical conditions). No one left the concentration camps fat. But some diet will help motivate people more and going to see someone like you do here and with weightwatchers and the others does help motivate people. Secondly if you pay a lot you are more likely to stick to it. Of course I'd be happy to take £200 a week from any mumsnetter if that will aid them on their diet.. and I do indeed have the secret of healthy life time eating.

Whatever diet people follow they need to ensure they have changed their eating habits for life thereafter and eat healthy food which is why I wouldn't personally eat non whole foods or substitutes or foods which taste sweet and just prime your body for sweets.

However as a capitalist I see nothing wrong with anyone setting up a business for money to help people deal with some of the issues which cause them most distress. Obviously the zapping of fat things is medical rubbish although those tummy and other bit of the body belt things I suppose might do a bit of tightening but the placebo effect can be as good as anything real so if it's working keep at it.

Alternatively for those without the money get yourself on to three healthy whole food meals a day, give up junk food, eat more protein and good brown carbs, drink tap water and be more active.

Xenia

i have tried many diets and just seem to give up the alizonne diet is a good diet for those who have the money and the strength to do it. I was going to go on the diet but at the moment due to financial and time issues i cannot do it i am at the moment struggling to lose the weight myself and i must say that i have got no where. It has got me down as every day that i get up i am starting a new diet only to give up by mid day. I just came to the conclusion that i just need to eat healthy and cut back on a few things and exercise more to see what can happen i have now just given up on the diet thing totally . I am feeling so low and depressed and fed up with the whole thing.

Well done to those who are succeeding i wish you Al the luck may be one day i will be able to afford it . what i do not get is that if you have loset 2 stones then you must have drop dress sizes. why is that the clothes are not fitting differently.

Babyonboardinthesticks · 14/02/2010 14:07

(just start with a good breakfast with some protein and brown bread and try not to eat between meals and gradually build up to only three healthy a meals a day and no snacks and don't ration quantities or you'll end up thinking about food all the time - and it's more important to keep or get good mental health than physical/lose weight - there are lots of studies on line about how diet affects mood)

kurves · 14/02/2010 16:09

You are so right cause if i stuff my face i feel good then i feel ashamed then i get depressed and if i am upset my first thing is to go and eat i feel like it has taken over my li8fe and its like a addiction that i cannot beat . Today i started off with a good breakfast then a light lunch at dinner which i will have at six that will be my last meal cause at times i am not hungry i am just bored and see food as a pleasure comfort. I got some carrots beetroot apples and some oranges so that later if i do get hungry i can just juice them i am trying with the water thing but i guess that its just a day by day process and it will not happen over night the thing is to change my thinking. I got my docter to give me a thyroid test so i know its not that. i give my self six months from today i only want to get to just under 11 stones i am at the momment 13.

anju72 · 15/02/2010 09:18

Curious to see if this works once I get close to my ideal weight 53 kgs. Usually I get to 58 and then just plateau, even though I still am on the diet. Now at end of week 2, am on 62 kgs with a 4kg ie. 8.8lbs weight loss in total

cenglish · 15/02/2010 13:50

does anyone do exercise?

I'm going to purchase a small trampoline as i heard they are really good, cant afford the gym at the moment as i am payin out alot every week on this diet.

But it is worth it, i bought a mac for the spring bought a size 12, but when i got home and took off my heavy jumper it was too big, so will change for a 10. Bottom has is still big, but it has reduced in size, see i am so small on top i look weird ha ha

anju72 · 15/02/2010 14:59

I go for spin class twice a week, yoga or pilates once a week. They recommend only cardio and no weights because they don't want you building heavy muscle during this process.
But even a quick walk (which leaves you slightly breathless) for 45 mins is v.good if you can manage it. Not just for weightloss but also over a period of time it gives you remarkable stamina.

cenglish · 15/02/2010 16:54

oh i use to love spinning, you lose loads of weight doing that.

but its £6 a go, so thatss too much for me at the mo

Babyonboardinthesticks · 16/02/2010 20:06

I'm obviously in the wrong business. Lots of money to be made in diets. Pedal sugar, get them hooked and then have them pay to lose weight that always goes back on. It's a wonderful business model.

Exercise doesn't have to cost a penny. I suspect scrubbing the bathroom floor on hands and knees and then climbing up high to dust the top of rooms is as good for most of us if done on a regular basis than expensive classes.

balletballet · 16/02/2010 20:22

Hi - My brother did the Alizonne therapy and lost almost 9st. He is finding it hard to keep the weight off and has found when he eats normally it goes back on. He is now going back tot he diet for a week or so every few months to keep his weight in check.

resolved · 17/02/2010 18:07

Hi everyone, thanks for your wishes. I feel less determined this week but its that time of the month!! these hormones can be so counter-productive.

My favourite products are the oatmeal ( they are easy) and the chocolate drink. I find everything so sweet for someone with savoury tastes. I also like the omelettes and the cheese souffle.

Tomorrow i am off to the gym - maybe those pheremones will make me positive!!

10 kilos to go ..........

anju72 · 18/02/2010 08:14

Hi Resolved - Went for my weigh in yesterday. Lost only 2.5lbs last week. Have 10kgs as well to go. Keep us updated on your progress. Thanks

resolved · 21/02/2010 09:05

HI All

It was great to hear that sometimes you all feel less determined and feel down if you dont lose so much. I had lost just a kilo yestereday.

However in context i have just realised that i have lost almost 1 stone in 2 weeks. I do feel better and my clothes are much looser so the contouring is working!!

I have got 8 kilos to go - let's hope next week that the weight will fly off!!

Good luck everyone. Resolved.

cenglish · 21/02/2010 16:14

resolved the week before i only lost 0.9kilo how depressin but the week after made up for it.

i have lost a stone in 4 weeks, while u a stone in 2 weeks which is excellent.

notapizzaeater, hope feel better, bt how do make rhubarb crumble?

notapizzaeater · 21/02/2010 17:20

You stew rhubarb as normal (I bake mine in the oven) and then make the oatmeal sachet up using a bit less water so its a bit "crumbly" , pop on top and stick in oven for 5 mins. I added ginger to mine and I could just taste the warmth of that - nothing else !
