I am the pround mummy to 2 boys, DS1 2 DS2 10 weeks, and have 2 stone to lose by christmas. I think with your help and support I have more of a chance of doing it.

Anyone care to join me?

Well done SnoopDog - I think I may have to try the crisp diet myself!

Weigh-in tomorrow - wish me luck! Are you going to class or following the diet at home?

SnoopDog · 08/10/2008 23:04

ponto,

i can tell you the crisps and wine only diet works

going to classes/groups for 3 weeks now,

i am hoping for a 2lb loss this week,

how about you?

ponto · 09/10/2008 10:08

Only lost 0.5 lb this week, though better than nothing I suppose. Will try to stick to the plan this week and maybe even do some exercise!!

SnoopDog · 09/10/2008 10:39

did aqua fit and then swam 20 lenghts too

CilC · 10/10/2008 06:54

hi everyone. Have joined a weight loss group and the gym. It has a creche which is great. Have not really lost much weight yet...
My problem at the moment is that I am so hungry all of the time. Hoping excercise will help weight loss initially and when i stop bf the hunger drive will disappear.

JODIEhadababy · 10/10/2008 16:55

Hi all, here on holiday, weather rubbish so not walking very far, just sitting on (fat) arse driking milky coffee! And I;ve tried to stick to the fish and no pud as much as I can, so far so good....

I'm joining the gym when I get home, I'm really looking forward to it actually. No more excuses.......

Well done everyone this week on your weight loss.. We'll be skinny by christmas!

Not feeling very motivated to lose weight at the moment - have lost about half a stone so far, and can now fit comfortably into some of my biggest pre-pregnancy clothes. All my friends say I look fine, and I do, compared with what I looked like from when I was 3 months pregnant onwards! This week will be the last one I've paid for at slimming world, and I'm in two minds about whether to continue. I still have 2 stone to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but I know what I'm doing now with the diet, and £4.50 a week seems a lot just to get weighed. I never stay to meetings, so all my support comes from you guys anyway. Shall I give up on the classes and go it alone?

Jodie, hope your holiday improved and that you've enjoyed yourself.

SnoopDog · 13/10/2008 17:13

jodie,

you are as addicted as me, fancy mning while on your holidays

ponto,

up to you, the classes keep me motivated, walked an hour to town and back today (and 2 hours round town, just realised that makes shopping exercise!!) i try to stay, it is freindly and fun to joke with the other ladies about how many times you have syned in the week

weight in tonight...

i am hoping for 2 lb, i have been very active this week and i got my peoiod back so some pre menstral wobble should have been shifted

will report back later

SnoopDog · 13/10/2008 21:42

1 and 1/2lb off,

ok, not bad, wanted 2lb,

i have been active this week, swam, walked etc,

af arrived,

i am blaming her

JODIEhadababy · 14/10/2008 14:29

Hi all back now and not been confident in weighing myself yet, I know that from the good old days when I was a 'trolly dolly' I could retain a couple of lbs after a flight, so maybe tomorrow!

Weather improved on the last bloody day, typical. Did have a nice ime anyway.

Ponto, I wold keep going, it is very good motivation to risk a public weigh in!!

Snoopdog, well doe on all your exercise and glad it's paying off!

OP posts:
ponto · 16/10/2008 22:43

Another 1 lb off today, total loss 7.5 lbs in 5 weeks. Someone noticed I'd lost weight today so feeling positive.

I'm going to have a couple of weeks off from the class and go it alone, but if I'm not losing I will go back after half term. Will post on here instead, so will feel accountable to someone.

On the train home from girls' night out - mot v diet friendly but v good fun!

ponto · 16/10/2008 22:45

Mot = not

JODIEhadababy · 17/10/2008 06:55

Ponto Oh Girls night out sounds lovely. I;ve got one on the 1st Nov. Can't wait!

Right time to own up.... 3lbs on I feel so horrible I didn't even go that overboard, but it just shows you what happens when you take a break from exercise. AND I was drinking milky coffees (yum) but in each one was about 1/2 pint of full fat milk!

Been on 2 long walks and a spinning class this week already and going to look round a gym on Sunday with a view to joining.

OP posts:
ponto · 17/10/2008 10:41

Jodie, never mind, you'll soon lose it again. I think it's really hard to start again when you've had a break, so well done you!

I'm considering joining a gym too - loads of my friends are members of David Lloyd and I'm feeling the peer pressure to join too. It's just so expensive! I can't decide whether that would make sure I went and did some exercise, in which case it might be a good investment. On the other hand, there's a leisure centre just down the road, which is much cheaper, but doesn't have a nice coffee shop for meeting my friends!

SnoopDog · 17/10/2008 19:43

ponto, you gotta want to go,

if you can afford dl then treat yourself,

our local one does a post/pre natal aqua class and you dont have to be a member to go, just pay 3.50 on the day,

you are allowed to swim before, do the class and then swim with baby afterwards (mw there to babysit during class)

jodie, i was +2 after 10 days away and it was shit but, hey ho, its gone again now, try not to get too down

wobblingweeble · 18/10/2008 16:21

Hi All,

Back form my parenta yesterday and was dreading weighing myself as I had Thorton's rum truffles, toffee crisps, g+t most nights and cake (well it was DD's birthday)
but knock me down with a feather i cannot beleive it I am now a svelte 14 stone!!! I really cannot beleive that I have lost weight whilst away - my mond boggles - can only assumme it is because DS is 13 weeks now and it is coming off naturally now Well I will be back on track helathy eating wise starting tomorrow - still got another 2.5 stone ideally to lose.

Well done on all your losses so farxxx

wobblingweeble · 18/10/2008 16:22

OMG spelling brain/fingers/fast type = errors = apologies.

JODIEhadababy · 20/10/2008 15:12

Still here, not much to report tho, keeping fingers crossed (And mouth closed) for my weigh in on Weds. Going to a Body Pump class tonight rather than Aqua as Aqua is a bit relaxed, I think I need to get hot and sweaty to feel lke I've done something!!!!!

Been very good on diet so we shall see!!

I use digial scakes, but thinking of getting some 'normal' ones as sometimes I can get on and back on again straight away and there can be a 4lbs difference I think that 'normal' ones might be more accurate, any one got any thoughts?

OP posts:
ponto · 20/10/2008 21:26

Have had broken internet for few days so have been absent from thread, also we have had lots of visitors and I have eaten many things that I shouldn't have . Dd2 was 3 today so we had a party for her friends yesterday and my parents and in-laws came for tea today, so there has been a lot of cake and chocolate in the house. And of course quite a lot of it has been eaten by me! I dread weighing myself this week.

I think I have decided against joining a gym at the moment as I never have any free time to go. I keep meaning to get out an exercise video but I am just too tired in the evening. You put me to shame Jodie with all your exercise classes!

JODIEhadababy · 20/10/2008 21:35

Ponto, have you got Sky? There is an exercise channel - Body In Balance, I've sky Plussed some stuff off there to do if DH goes out and I'm stuck in by myself.

OP posts:
JODIEhadababy · 20/10/2008 21:37

Oh and Happy Birthday to your DD!

OP posts:
ponto · 20/10/2008 21:59

Thanks Jodie. No Sky here but plenty of videos, including 2 untouched pregnancy ones!

wobblingweeble · 21/10/2008 19:00

Hiya all,

Yep I bought the pilates for pregnancy and post natal and didn't do any of it! I am however, at tap opn Mondays and bellydacning Thursdays and trying to so abdominal, weight reps and other stuff when I get a spare mo' . I was the same PONTO - DD's bday cake was yummy and all the other goodies my Mum bought too I did tell her not to as she really needs to lose weight (HBP and awaiting results of some heart tests) but she went mad as per usual.

Xmas is looming too - not that I actually have a soical life but I really don't like what I look like to ME now best of luck for your weigh in tomorrow JODIE and HB to your wee DD PONTO. Where is everyone else? Must update the stats for beginning of November - will we do a lbs lost already and lbs still to go?

JODIEhadababy · 22/10/2008 10:24

Woohoo, I;ve lost all I put on and another lb!!!! So thats 4lbs this week!!!

WW Good idea to update it all, I;ll leave it to you coz you make it look nice and neat!
