1lb down, 2 stone to go

Peachy · 11/09/2008 12:52

Hello

I started back at ww last week so can I join? I have 4 kids- all boys- 8,7,5 and 22 weeks. I was put on a high cal diet with ds4 (allergic to formula not thriving on breastmilk) so have 2st 8lbs to lse- managed 5.5lbs last week but won't this, felt ill as a result: too much at once!

JODIEhadababy · 11/09/2008 12:54

Hello Peachy!!! Welcome to our 'new thread'

Shall we have a designated weigh in day? or shall we just update each other as we go along?

OP posts:
SnoopDog · 11/09/2008 13:27

weight when we feel thin

also just re read post, when i say whooping i mean as in jerry springer (making lots of noise) not the cough

SnoopDog · 11/09/2008 14:55

1 banana
1 apple
1 water

this dieting thing is so much fun

dreams of cream cakes

JODIEhadababy · 11/09/2008 15:11

I've been inspired by you Snoopdog, I;m now off out with the DS's for a nice walk around the village (And I promise I won't stop at the shop for some chocolate like I normally do!)

Lunch was 2 slice of toast, an apple and a kit kat (before you shout at me, they are low points )

OP posts:
Peachy · 11/09/2008 15:33

Ah am so glad I get extra points for bf!

lunch was turkey sandwich (no spreaad), apple, snack a jack and a ww cake

dinner is prawn omelette

I'm a gold member, blame this on ds4 lol, last time did no count (pre cursor to core) but points this time

ponto · 11/09/2008 20:34

Hi all, I will join you too, dd3 is 7 weeks old, I put on nearly 4 stone when pregnant, lost 2 afterwards, so still have 2 to go - but I was already half a stone over my weightwatchers goal weight before I got pregnant (and that was my revised goal weight - 9lb more than before I got pregnant for the first time). I tried counting points myself at home last week but didn't do very well, so today I joined Slimming World for the first time. I'm trying to work out how it all works - had a green day today and have just eaten loads of pasta so feel nice and full.

Wasn't very impressed by the SW scales, they said 13st 3.5lb but my own said 12st 12.5lb. I just felt disappointed I was still over 13 stone - heavier than I was when 9 months pregnant with dd1! Still, gives me a nice target to aim for this week, if I lose 4lb (which I might in the first week, fingers crossed), I will have broken the 13 stone barrier and will be motivated to continue. Have also paid for 6 weeks' membership to make me go back.

SnoopDog · 11/09/2008 22:23

god i have scoffed all day,

fresh griddled tuna and couscous (snack)

quorn and veggies with jacket spud for dinner

three one glass of wine (rose)

three one snack a jack (choc chip)

glass of water

Peanut73 · 12/09/2008 00:02

I need to join please too.

35 years and no sweet tooth.

1 baby and now I craaaaaave sugar.

Dinner: the hugest spaghetti bolognese in the universe. The minute I put my fork down on the side of my empty plate: "I don't feel satisfied... think I might go to the shop and buy a magnum".

Well, I didn't buy a magnum. But I did manage to find some baking chocolate in the larder.

I don't recognise myself anymore and that gets me down. More so in photos that anything else. I looked at some recent photos of me and what struck me most was how fat my ARMS are!

Anyway, I will have to convert my WW scales to stones and pounds (am a kiwi and we work in KG), but I have 11 kilograms to lose (not sure how that converts).

Have drunk too much wine tonight. This is becoming a naughty habit. I express milk twice during the day and have a full bottle in the fridge for Charlie's night feed. Then I have been having 3 or 4 glasses of wine at night. If my boobs get full I just pump and dump. Bad Mummy.

SnoopDog · 12/09/2008 08:51

hiya nutty

scales are my friend this morning,

Feeling positive this morning. Had porridge for breakfast, then felt starving after school run, so made myself boiled egg with rice cakes. Eggs are free food on sliiming world, not sure about rice cakes though - rice is free and that is the only ingredient, so I am inclined to treat them as free. Can anyone advise?

Hi Peanut, nice to see you on here. What diet are you follwing?

JODIEhadababy · 12/09/2008 11:25

Morning all,

Very good yesterday, only had 20 points out of a possible 24 so feeling VERY pleased with myself!

Today I've had a bowl of cereal and I;ve cleaned the house, being a bit more vigerous (sp?) with the duster than usual to get the heart rate up (so it can be classed as excersise!

Off I went to join ww full of enthusiam and feeling very motivated and no one was there...why didn't anyone say today is not Thursday!!! I seem to have lost a day...
Shame lead to a medium latte and half a tuna melt panini (luckily dd ate half).
I too do kg's...would love to lose 15...which I think is about 3 stone, but initiaaly aimimg for 2.
So for next week will just eat less and healthy until I find out about ww diet. We also have a local slimmers world, how are they different - does anyone know?

CilC · 12/09/2008 15:34

More shame...just looked at previous msg i wrote...somehow I thought meeting was on friday...and i thought today was Thursday...what planet am I ON? No wonder my DH thinks I am going mad! Maybe one glass of wine will help....

JODIEhadababy · 12/09/2008 16:06

oh Cilc, soounds like me! I can't keep up with the days either!! (don't know the difference between the 2, sorry)

Right just got dinner on and it's amazing, got a WW recipe book from e-bay and I've just done a Sausage Casserole with loads of veg and the only things that are points are the sausages and the potatoes for the mash! 4.5points per serving

Will tell you how it tastes later!

Plans for a long walk with DS's are scuppered by this bloody rain.. Might do Davina's DVD later....

JODIEhadababy · 12/09/2008 16:07

Cilc, sorry, not the 2 days, the 2 diets I meant!

OP posts:
ponto · 13/09/2008 20:44

CilC, I've not been to Weightwatchers for a while but the last time I went there were 2 options - either you could eat as much as you wanted from a limited range of foods (lean meat, fish, potatoes, rice, pasta, fruit and veg, skimmed milk, cereal - but not bread) and then have a small amount of extra ponts to spend on other foods, or you are allocated a set number of points each day to spend on anything that you want to. Points are calculated by looking at the calories and saturated fat in the food.

I've only just started Slimming World, so I'm still getting to grips with it, but each day you can choose either a red day or a green day. on a red day you can eat as much lean meat as you like, but carbs are limited, whereas on a green day you can eat most carbs (but not bread) but meat is limited. You can add extras as 'Syns' and fruit and veg is free on red and green days. so far I have felt very full, but I'm not sure whether I'm actually losing weight - will let you know next Thurs.

Jodie, you did very well to only have 20 points, I had 30 a day (while breastfeeding) and still struggled to stick to it!
