Here comes summer!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body.

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st, the last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Ringfit is a game on the Nintendo switch. It comes with a resistance ring and a leg strap that the controllers go into then there's a monster fighting adventure story where you have to do lots of running on the spot on squats, and a variety of excerses, it will tell you if your not squatting far enough, or learning to one side. It's great because it's at home and with my kids it's hard to get out and excersice.

My dd(16) has ring fit. She loves it but did find after a while that she wasn’t getting enough exercise out of it. It was a good gateway into exercise for her though and after a few months of consistent use she’s moved onto YouTube HIIT workouts and light weights!

Jumped into week 3 of C25k which is where I left off in November and didn’t die. So that’s progress. Haven’t planned ahead for food today which is dangerous!

We have a ninento switch but I never use it. This ring thing sounds fun and interesting!! Am going to have a look into it as another way to mix up my home workouts.

This morning I did 30 mins of Yoga with Kassandra 👌🏻 and 30 mins on exercise bike (11.5k).

Just had a very much craved for cheese toastie for lunch 😋
We are having spring chicken pie for dinner

It'll be 2 meals only today, but one meal was a McD's breakfast and the other will be a Chinese takeaway... trying not to snack at least. Slightly odd day.

@2in2022twoyearson never tried it but sometimes (with DD) do Pokemon Go for fun. Really gets our steps in!

I’m feeling good today, had a homemade tea loaf (like a virtuous hot cross bun!) for breakfast, a sandwich and half a piece of carrot cake for lunch, and homemade carrot soup is currently bubbling away for dinner, and had a lovely day out at an RHS garden with friends in between the morning and evening rain! I’ve got a 6 day stint on my own from tomorrow so going to try and do plenty of activities to keep myself occupied and not thinking of food…

Hello. I was on the May thread then spent 2 weeks on holiday in the UK and was very much not on the thread.
So many messages already to catch up on but good to see some really positive goals in there.
I've managed a big glass of water and a healthy breakfast this morning. About to get back to my weight work out. I suspect I'll find I've lost a bit of strength but hopefully it will come back when I am regularly at it again.

Morning everyone. I’ve just got back from an all inclusive holiday and have managed to put on 8lbs 😩 not impressed with myself, but had an amazing time! But back on it!!
Will be doing at least 8000 steps a day. Following a Mediterranean diet. Trying to get the yoga in as well. Lots of water as I definitely didn’t drink as much as I should have.

Does anyone have any good Mediterranean diet recipes please? I have lots of Greek yogurt, berries, chia seeds, peppers, red onion etc

Just as I’m trying to get a degree of fitness and strength back I took a right tumble yesterday 😫😅 I had stepped up on a small ledge to reach a big weed and as I was trying to tug it out, it gave way and I fell. Crashed into my tubbed Calla Lily and a wooden table 😮 Nothing broken but feel I been hit with a truck this morning.

So unplanned eating day ended up being Costa and then McDonald’s - tracked it all and came in under calories through so not too bad! Scales were down this morning as well - 2lbs since last Sunday. DH and I went to a stretch class this morning which ended up only being 20mins but felt good to dedicate some time to stretching as we never bother usually.

A NSV - went to a gig last night and I’d usually find myself fidgeting from leg to leg trying to stay comfortable as my hips, knees and feet would ache from standing for any length of time - no problems last night so could concentrate on reliving our youth for a couple of hours instead. Strength training paying off 👍🏻

When I fell down the stairs I cried just from the shock of it happening! I hate falling over 😖

Today I have done 30 mins of cardio with dumbbells, 30 mins on exercise bike 11.9k. and just got back from a lovely 1 hour family walk. My 2 little girls pushed along their dollies in their toy prams and got a few smiles along the way 🥰 shattered now. And got soft play parties this afternoon!!

My calories I have planned should come in at 1620 today.

@TheRealHousewife not like a hula hoop, a lot smaller and combined with a motion sensor controller on the Nintendo switch, different exercises get you stretching or squeezing it with your arms or legs or holding it for while running on the spot and for yoga and it does a very basic posture check.

My food: chicken broth for breakfast, overnight oats at lunch, but went to Lidl and ate a free doughnut. I have continued the 13 hours overnight fast, easy enough and will attempt some excersice this pm/eve

Well we’ve had a long weekend of two halves, as it were. Stomach bug and then full sugar coke and plain carbs. So let’s see what on earth is happening on the scale tomorrow!

Managed to get out for a walk today and enjoy the sun. Hopefully back into routine tomorrow.

Evening all. I've just finished working out on my bike. Going to have a hot drink. Been a busy Friday and weekend. Need these excessive pound gain to drop off. During week am gonna give it my best shot to have some positive results. Good luck all for Wednesday. I have improved on my eating on weekend too. Need a good week of calorie deficit. Plus a good work out every day tell Friday.

Will do my exercises this morning, not sure where my gym clothes are, which says it all.
I have chicken and med veg cooked and ready to go for lunches this week, and fish and veg/stir fry for dinners.
Will log everything as well.

Leeds was sooo good. We just got Thai food and then went to the Chinese supermarket for bao 😊

Leeds is so good. I just feel safe there. It's a long way to go for food but I don't know anywhere closer that does decent Thai 😂

Plan for today is no breakfast, then meals for lunch (11am) and supper (5pm or earlier). I've again ordered "healthy ready meal" type meals for this week, from a different provider (I'm going through all of them with discount codes!) so likely that with some cucumber or broccoli on the side. I'm ferrying kids around this evening so no time to eat or hopefully think about food before bed.

@TheRealHousewife it was the biannual show of the dance school where I do my weekly jazz workout class. Our teacher had us participate as the adults too, which was lots of fun. Just two performances but great to do.
