Following on from ☀️LOSE IT! May 2025☀️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Here comes summer!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body.

To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost just around 45lbs. After having been on the wrong side of 12st, the last time I weighed I was hovering around 9st 2lbs. I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! Come summer you’ll be pleased you did 😊

Beloved long timers it would be great for you to keep going❤️

I had a little day off today. Woke up feeling very meh mentally and like I needed to sleep all day.

So decided to take today to recoup a bit, no workout no calorie counting, lots of water and a little bit of chocolate.

Back to it tomorrow 👍🏻

Weight seems to be shifting downwards again post-half term, which is positive. I’ve also crossed off my next mini goal on Happy Scale, so that’s 3 of 9 milestones complete.

@WearyAuldWumman that sounds like a decent workout. I too am hoping that slow losses and working out alongside will build muscle at the same time.

@socks1107 that’s an excellent NSV!

My mini goals (in my head and on happy scale) are 7lbs each time. But I think I’m looking forward to 13st. I know at 13st I felt overweight, but not massive as I do now. It’s by no means my end goal, but I am hoping by then I feel a bit better. Ive lost a stone so far and can sort of see it a bit, but not really feel it. I’m hoping I will feel 2.5 stone off.

2in2022twoyearson · 06/06/2025 08:13

I'm starting slowly with regular habits. I've been doing 10-12 hours overnight fast, just increased it to 13 hours. Im Going to try and stick to no snacks, then once that's a good habbit add something else. I do need to eat before work, I tried skipping breakfast and I couldn't function well enough and actually cried. So now, 8am, at work but before starting is my latest breakfast time.

LemonDrizzle23 · 06/06/2025 08:25

Oh, also just noticed I’ve lost 15.8lbs so far, so another mini goal will be when I’ve lost 20lbs. That feels like something decent.

FrothyCothy · 06/06/2025 09:15

Was getting a bit frustrated at the scales but they finally dropped a pound this morning, so they are forgiven. Aiming for the gym today, and to get some steps in after yesterday’s sloth-like conduct.

LegoTherapy · 06/06/2025 09:33

The scales are still being weird. Gardening today and a 3 mile walk. Back to the school run next week and anywhere between 6 and 13 miles per day. I’m hoping it helps!

TheRealHousewife · 06/06/2025 09:46

Good Morning All

@LemonDrizzle23 Thats a significant chunk you’ve lost so far; impressive 👏 I really like the Happy Scale! It’s motivating to get a little fanfare with each milestone 🥳

Here’s hoping you feel a bit more energised today @frostedshreddie x

That’s an impressive work out @WearyAuldWumman 👏👏👏

Meal 2 - Chicken & halloumi stir fry.

My first day on it went a little like this
Breakfast- Tiffany plate
Lunch- home made pea and ham soup
Tea- slimming world hunters chicken with mash carrots brocoli and sprouts

No snacks and no wine

biscuitcat · 06/06/2025 10:32

@LemonDrizzle23that’s an amazing loss so far, well done! Looking forward to joining you at that stage over the next few weeks hopefully.

I often really struggle with food noise, but interestingly found that it’s much less of an issue when I’m not on my own - my husband was away for a couple of days with work this week and it was awful, but now he’s back I’ve been so much less food focused. He’s away for 6 days next week so I worry that’ll be a challenge. I think being exhausted from looking after all the kids on my own probably contributes!

socks1107 · 06/06/2025 12:11

@LemonDrizzle23 that’s a great loss.
I am a pound away from 28lbs which will feel like a milestone. At Xmas I never thought I would two stone this year! Well done on getting over a stone 😀

Today will be a challenge,
we have a funeral of a friend to attend. Gone far too young and so suddenly. I intend to be kind to myself today.
Her sad passing has made me think that this is the right thing for me to do - look after my health. I’m creeping towards a normal bmi and I noticed swimming last night that I was matching those in the faster lanes and not being lapped by my dh so my fitness has really improved.

Have a lovely Friday everyone, I will be enjoying a g&t later and remembering we can all get healthy and we should live at the same time and enjoy time with family and friends

TealSloth · 06/06/2025 12:24

Hi all it's my celebration day eid day. I need to watch what am eating. Need to sort out as soon as I get home. I've worked very hard by keeping my weight down. Need it to stay down.
Wish me luck.

WearyAuldWumman · 06/06/2025 12:48

Exercise class this morning.

I'm having real difficulty with my feet - the podiatrist says that I need new orthotics. I'm waiting for a letter for an appointment...at the end of the class, I realise that I have a missed call on my phone.

Phoned back. NHS. Number does not take incoming calls. Grrr.

Only did 5 minutes HIIT on the treadmill - feet were too sore.

3X10 with 5kg medicine ball whilst squeezing yoga ball between my knees; 3X10 each side twist whilst holding 5KG; 3X10 side raises with 3kg weights; 3 X10 side dips each side for obliques with 4kg weight.

FrothyCothy · 06/06/2025 14:24

Gym day and my heavy (for me, at least!) lifting day so came out ravenous. Need to fit a good walk in later - or see if I can persuade the teenager to come for a run-walk with me

frostedshreddie · 06/06/2025 23:22

Nearly forgot to post my accountability for today!

Workout: 30 mins cardio with dumbbells
30 mins outside walk at lunchtime (partly caught in thunderstorm!)
2L Water
1594 calories

2in2022twoyearson · 07/06/2025 06:45

Does anyone do ringfit? I used to do it regularly but haven't forgotten ages, got back on it today. Just did 6 minutes, told be I'd buried 25 calories. I can feel I'm quite unfit, ringfit is fun I'll work on doing it regularly.

My sleep has been bad this week, I need to work on that. Maybe some yoga before bed too.

QueenMabby · 07/06/2025 07:08

Went off the rails last night with a sharing bag of Maltesers (didn’t share!) and two chocolate brownies.
Starting again today!

2in2022twoyearson · 07/06/2025 07:19

I'm starting the day with an unbreakfasty bowl of chicken broth and sourdough bread and salted real butter. Hopefully I'll be less hungry. Listening to Dr chatterjees podcast, making breakfast the most healthy. I made broth the other night but am just trying it now as I'm not eating in the evenings. I weighed at 72.1kg which is unchanged, but I've not tried too hard,

Fellsbells · 07/06/2025 08:11

Catching up with everyone’s weeks. Well done for showing up and doing what you are doing.

I’ve gone up a few pounds from last Saturday. Lots of bread and a pizza this week so that’s probably the reason.

I have run three times this week and slept well so that’s good.

High hopes for a better week next week. Really want to be securely under 10st instead of bouncing around it all the time.

Medee · 07/06/2025 08:27

Did the first of my shows last night, glad to be 6lb lighter than when I started! Celebratory GnT at home afterwards, first in ages. Final show tonight, then the target becomes an event on 3 July I need to wear a posh frock and I’d rather not buy new!

LemonDrizzle23 · 07/06/2025 08:37

Thank you @TheRealHousewife @biscuitcat and @socks1107 it’s definitely nice to be past the first few lbs and wondering if it’s actually working.

@biscuitcat I find any time I’m out of routine it’s harder. And definitely when you’re more stressed and tired and dealing with kids on your own!

@socks1107The thought of two stone off is genuinely thrilling! Well done for getting there. I know if I carry on doing what I’m doing, I could be there in 2/3 months. Just have to play the long game!

DS has kindly brought home a stomach bug. So I appear to be down on the scales, but sadly it might be temporary 😂 Going to have a quiet day today until that passes. Oh the joys of parenting!

2in2022twoyearson · 07/06/2025 08:39

There's a lot going round tummy bug wise. My DD was unlucky enough to get it through half term so she's not well rested going back. I think I missed it...I hope

Marshmellowbunny · 07/06/2025 09:07

Morning everyone.

And well done to you all for trying/showing up.

My scales say I'm down but I don't really believe it. I went a bit off the rails last night and ended up at the pub 😞

I think I might have to see a doctor as I feel a bit depressed after what happened and sometimes I'm using alcohol to forget about it.

Off to Leeds today and going to get Thai food for lunch so I'm trying to hold off on breakfast.

Went out in the rain early this morning and did my last couchto5K of week 3 so I'm feeling pretty good 👍🏻 on to week four 😐

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

LBB2020 · 07/06/2025 09:16

I’m so terrible at keeping up with this thread and posting! I’ve had an ok week, it could definitely have been better but overall not too bad. I’m really struggling with motivation to exercise at the moment so that’s something to get back on next week (I’m due my period today so will give myself the weekend to get the worse days out of the way!). Well done to everyone who’s had a good first week of June and to those who are struggling to get started I’m with you! Have a great weekend everyone 😊

socks1107 · 07/06/2025 09:51

@2in2022twoyearson what is ring fit? Sounds interesting!

I am in the 11s today. It took a few seconds for me to register what the scales said and then I just stood there looking at the number 😂. I cannot believe it, it feels so so amazing

2in2022twoyearson · 07/06/2025 10:09

Ringfit is a game on the Nintendo switch. It comes with a resistance ring and a leg strap that the controllers go into then there's a monster fighting adventure story where you have to do lots of running on the spot on squats, and a variety of excerses, it will tell you if your not squatting far enough, or learning to one side. It's great because it's at home and with my kids it's hard to get out and excersice.
