Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

Bah humbug, 90 something days to christmas and I am nowhere nearer to losing that stone. Have just had my weigh-in, having missed thursdays, I've stayed the same this week. Think I'm going to start a food diary, just in case there is more passing my mouth than I think.

Hope you are not being too hard on yourself this week Furball with your little gain, you have done brilliantly so far, keep focused on that.

How are you doing Heavybee? I've missed your input this week.

Furball · 23/09/2008 07:58

smalline - hang on in there I reached for a chocolate bar and a pack of quavers yesterday couldn't help it, but then didn't have anything else I shouldn't have. Food diary is good, leave it in the kitchen with a pen and write it down as you have stuff, so you don't forget. If only mine wasn't blank for this week, I might be better off.......

Am off out for a 4km run this morning, to try and boost things.

HeavyBee · 23/09/2008 11:13

Dear all

Hope you are doing better than me. I went caving(!) and walking (about 7 miles) this w/e but it had no noticeable effect, probably because I ate cake after it. I am a bit depressed at not losing any weight. I don't gain it either, but it's not encouraging. Smalline the food diary is an excellent idea, particularly if you have a better memory than I do. Furball it was only ONE chocolate bar and ONE pack of Quavers! Hope the running is going well.

Furball · 26/09/2008 07:06

1/2 off and that was lucky! went out straight after class both last week and last night and scoffed my way through crisps and nibbles, so it was lucky it as a loss not a gain.

I'm off with girlfriends tomorrow then going to a spa [bliss] on sunday, so will have no control over what I can eat, I've bought a box of croissants for breakfast on sunday (cheapy hotel, breakfast not included). Have promised myself I will run 3 times before next weigh in, starting this morning and hopefully I can stay the same as I also have a meal out Cafe Rouge (must peruse their menu, but I know their hot banana pudding is devine)on wednesday. Life seems to be getting in the way

OP posts:
Furball · 26/09/2008 09:39

right - done me run and really enjoyed it, don't know why I haven't been more regular with it the last few weeks/month.

Looked at Cafe Rouge and will have the prawn and squid on bed of salad leaves with chilli and lime dressing - have had it before and it's gorgous. Just need to be careful at the weekend.

OP posts:
Smalline · 29/09/2008 14:05

Right I'm keeping my weigh day to Monday, weekends are the worst time for me, as the family are at home, and I tend to be more relaxed about what I eat, knowing that I will be weighed on Monday will hopefully keep me more focused.

I'm very pleased to report a 2.5 lb weight loss this week, tracking everything I eat has certainly worked for me, I'm going to try my best to keep this up, I can do it on-line so shouldn't be a problem.

exercise is definitely helping me too, I did an hours 'Tae bo' on Saturday and earned myself an extra 8.5 weight watcher points, the equivalent of 2 large glasses of wine.

How was your weekend Furball?!

Furball · 29/09/2008 14:59

well done smalline! woohoo, great isn't it?

My weekend was fan-blooming-tastic best bit was buying a pair of size 12 jeans Food wise not too bad, did have a massive slice of sponge cake at the spa, god it was lovely. have been extra good today although the run went out the window as I had an appointment early on, so will go tomorrow.

Heres to a good week everyone.

Smalline · 29/09/2008 20:50

Size 12 jeans Furball that is wow! last time I wore size 12 jeans, was about 17 years ago.

HeavyBee · 30/09/2008 20:22

Furball and Smalline that's terrific news from both of you, I'm so pleased. I'm still no further along the line, mostly because I can get into all my clothes and can't motivate myself for the extra push to get rid of the half stone. I just get so hungry! I don't have late night snacks, but I find it quite impossible not to eat when I come in from school with DDs. Still, I'm sticking to the exercise. Good luck all. Must go and deal with children....

Furball · 02/10/2008 20:17

1/2 lb on but have eaten like pig this week DS and I came down with a dodgy tummy virus thingy monday night through tuesday and we sat around eating all sorts of naughties for two days Plus I was away the weekend and was quite naughty, so am happy with that.

I am giving it another 6 weeks to loose the last 9-10 lbs then giving up as can't afford it. so........back to basics, I can't let it slip now I'm nearly there, then it'll be free, so worth doing

OP posts:
Smalline · 06/10/2008 20:11

2lbs off this week. Was very pleased with myself as it was my DS birthday yesterday, and we had a bit of a do.

Furball · 07/10/2008 09:54

well done smalline tis good when the week seems easy isn't it? fingers crossed for me, started the week not exactly on the plan but am being extra strict since yesterday to try and loose at least 1 lb.

OP posts:
Smalline · 07/10/2008 21:14

Thanks Furball and good luck for this week, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I've a feeling that it's not going to be that easy for me this week, there are too many goodies in the house, left over from Sunday. I've frozen the left over birthday cake in treat size pieces, but it is so easy to have more than one piece, and I do love frozen cake. Hardly any wine got drunk on Sunday so there is lots of that in the house too.

Only half a pound to lose, then I will have lost 10% of my body weight, hopefully, that thought will keep me on the straight and narrow this week.

Furball · 09/10/2008 20:45

if I tell you what I've eaten this week which is NAUGHTY - I'll then say what the scales said.

Thursday 1 x toffee banana (bread and butter pudding with a banana and toffee sauce on the top)

Friday - had 3 x meals as usual then had a buffet in the evening of things like samosas, goujons and crisps and stuff

sunday - scoffed remainder samosa and 3 onion bahjees.

wednesday - pancakes with chopped banana, a mountain of chocolate sauce and ice cream

today - massive ham/egg/salad baguette and piece of chocolate cake

result = 1 lb off now thats the sort of diet I can live with

in my favour - I did 4 x 4km runs

OP posts:
Furball · 11/10/2008 12:41

you're not talking to me now are you?

OP posts:
Smalline · 11/10/2008 18:30

No I am not Furball. I've been very naughty myself this week, the dreaded chocolate unfortunately, I will be extremely disappointed with myself if I put on weight this week

HeavyBee · 12/10/2008 16:33

Ooh, Furball, can I come round and eat at your house? I put on weight every time I walk through the kitchen. I like the sound of the toffee banana bread-and-butter pudding. Oh, why is food just such nice stuff? I've just had salmon and rice and mayonnaise and black pepper for lunch, and there was some left over and no one else woud eat it so I did. Oh woe. Oh woe. I'm not even getting on the scales, I can feel my jeans getting tight. But good luck to us all anyway.

Furball · 12/10/2008 16:43

heavybee -look on the bright side at least salmon and rice is healthy, don't think it will do too much harm - it wasn't like you finishd off everybody's chips or finished their puddings.

OP posts:
Smalline · 13/10/2008 13:49

2lb on this week.

Furball · 13/10/2008 15:49

don't worry smalline, twill come off easy if you try extra hard this week

OP posts:
Smalline · 13/10/2008 21:03

you are so funny Furball.

DH has just heated 2 of Mr Kiplin's apple pies in the microwave, put a humungous mound of ice-cream on top and is tucking into that as I type.

I'm going to try really hard this week.
