Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

1lb off this week, so I am now back to my pre-holiday weight, my next target is to lose the 2lb that I put on before the holiday.

Furball · 29/08/2009 13:52

FANTASTIC smalline well done

I need to get back on track, me 14's are tight......

Hopefully I can kick myself into action before it's too late.

Thanks Furball and it's great to see you back, trust you had a good holiday.

At the moment I'm setting myself little targets, they seem a lot easier to reach than a whole 2 stone.

One more week and the kids will be back to school, I'm not looking forward to the whole rushing around bit, but I know it will be easier to lose the weight once I get back into my old routine.

Smalline · 08/09/2009 10:47

Neither lost or gained last week, am doing ok so far this week. How is everyone else doing?

Furball · 09/09/2009 15:49

well done smalline you're doing really well

another start day for me! [again!!!]

my friend is doing lightlife from today, which scares the hell out of me. My view is if you can't control yourself, with food how can you control yourself going without?

I decided to run with her, but Slimming World it. Her losses should help me, hopefully.

I'm creeping right back up and have put on 1 stone 4 lbs since I stopped in November.

My clothes are scarily tight, look awful and make me feel lardy.

Hello there my cherubs from the not-so-sylph-like Heavybee. How are you all? It was so nice to come back and find you! I got a bit low about losing, or rather not losing weight, so I went silent for quite a while. Then I was fifty a couple of weeks ago and decided it was time to do something about my weight so I am back trying to be virtuous again, and thought I'd come back if you'll have me along! I don't put much on, except on holiday, but I don't get rid of it either. However, my plan is not to try too hard to diet, but to do more exercise instead. As I have an elderly aunt and uncle the other side of town to visit, and it's much easier by bike than car (parking my nightmare) or public transport (four buses for the round trip and several walks), I aim to use up some strawberry jam that way. Just as well as I made seven pots on Monday.... Good luck to us all.

Furball · 10/09/2009 19:03

Great to see you heavybee! Welcome Back

OP posts:
Smalline · 11/09/2009 14:52

Yes welcome back heavybee it's lovely to have you back on board.

I'm afraid that I probably weigh more now than I did when we started this thread, did so well last year, lost 22lbs in total, now I've put nearly all but 4lbs back on. It sounds even worst now I am putting it down in writing

Furball · 11/09/2009 16:24

I'm the same smalline

I've put on 1st 4lb out of (a very brief, for 1 week only end total of) 2 stone. tis depressing isn't it?

I'm right back on it now though. Just hoping I can keep it up.

Plan your food and shop accordingly - know what you are going to the kitchen for, is my motto.

Oh, Furball and Smalline, you are lovely! I feel much better already and it's so nice to be back . Thank you!

I'm maundering along about half a stone heavier than I'd like to be. I always seem to be in this state.... In fact I've lost a couple of pounds so I do know it can be done (I mean I still need to get rid of another seven to ten). If I just manage to keep out of the kitchen I'm sure it'll work. I just need to get rid of three or four more pounds while it's still such lovely cycling weather, and then maybe I'll have the momentum to carry on.

We can all do this, I know we can!

Smalline · 12/09/2009 10:55

1lb on this week, but AF is here so I am not going worry about the weight gain too much.

I've decided to take drastic action this week, I'm upping my exercise regime to daily rather than every other day, hopefully that will kick-start my metabolism into gear and the weight will start dropping off, yeah right!!!.

Furball · 15/09/2009 09:13

3 lbs off for me and that included a meal out with pudding. So am well pleased.

My lighter life friends came with us for the meal and had their soups! - Will be interested to see what they have lost in the first week, but whatever it is, it's a painful way to do it.

OP posts:
Smalline · 15/09/2009 12:08

Great news Furball, keep that up and you will be back to your slinky self before (dare I say it) Christmas.

Can't say that I'm envious of your friend on the lighter life plan, my SIL has done it a couple of times, it seems to be the only way for her to lose the weight, but the weight just goes back on as soon as she starts eating 'normally', I think it's quite expensive too!

I'm starting to feel quite good about myself again, DH told me that I was looking slim and toned at the weekend and today I am wearing trousers for the first time in a couple of months, just haven't felt comfortable in them.

Smalline · 15/09/2009 12:10

Haven't heard from Tortoise for a while, hope you are okay.

Furball · 16/09/2009 11:06

my lighter life friend lost 8 lbs and the girl she goes with lost 11 lbs

OP posts:
Smalline · 16/09/2009 13:27

Wow, sounds good, but personally I don't think that is a healthy weight loss, still, can't help feeling though.

Smalline · 19/09/2009 08:47

2.5lbs off this week, half a pound to go then I will set myself a new target.

Furball · 19/09/2009 08:51

Brilliant news smalline well done

You seem to be right back on the rails

My birthday was this week so I had cake and some chocolate but hopefully didn't go to bananas.

OP posts:
Smalline · 19/09/2009 12:04

Lol, I've just turned down chocolate! DH's birthday today, so chocolate cake all round this evening. Belated birthday wishes to you Furball I won't ask how young?

Furball · 22/09/2009 07:13

I'm the same this week.

No surprises and bloody lucky seeing as I had cake 3 days out of the 7 plus a few bars or choccy. [yummy]

Will knuckle down this week hopefully - I have a mumsnet meal out friday, but I don't usually go too bonkers.

Tortoise · 22/09/2009 22:15

Hi Small and Furball . So busy over the summmer hols that i forgot all about this thread.

Good news today is that i lost another 1lb and have now love half a stone . Coming off very slowly but going ok. I am terrible at keeping track of points though! Have been cycling a fair bit. Most days am cycling to school and back with kids which we all really enjoy.

Hope you are both well and doing ok?

Tortoise · 22/09/2009 22:18

And welcome back Heavybee

Smalline · 28/09/2009 10:26

Congratulations on your half a stone Tortoise, it might be coming off slowly, but it's coming off and that's the main thing.

I knew I would pay for all the chocolate cake that I ate last weekend, llb on this week, the good news is, that I've been very good over this weekend, so maybe, if I work hard at it this week, I might just lose that lb and a bit more.

Have a good week girls.

Smalline · 03/10/2009 10:14

2.5lbs off this week, so that's half a stone in total now. I've set myself a new little target to aim for. DS's birthday next week, lucklily for me he doesn't like chocolate cake.

How is everyone else doing?
