Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

sorry girls - had no internet or phone for 2 weeks! thanks BT!!! am back and lost 1/2 ast week, this week I must have gained, will find out tonight.

tortoise - you poor thing - oct? crikes, tis a long time to suffer. My builder had troubles with his and as long as he didn't eat fat he was OK. He had it out a few months back and is now fine and can now eat anything (although in my case that would be a bad thing!!)

Hello all, have been away on holiday but didn't gain or lose anything so not too bad. Tortoise I have been thinking of you; people I know who have had gallbladders removed have all been much better afterwards! But maybe you'll manage without the op, which would probably be even better. In the mean time no fat is a pain but not impossible. I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.
Furball don't worry, one piece of cake is ok! But put the leftovers straight into the freezer, then it won't sit there daring you to eat it.
Smalline you're doing really well! You've lost twice what I've lost now and I'm really impressed.

Furball · 15/08/2008 08:16

lost 1.5 lbs?? completely how I don't know. I'd had birthday cake albeit small slices, but I licked the bowl (god it was good) I also had a 3 course meal out on saturday, a meal out sunday lunch (we were away) and a really huge lamb shank and mash and roast veg out on tuesday. so not Quite sure how I managed it.

went out for a meal last night (I Know!!) and had my first pudding (apart from saturday) since march. It was baileys cheesecake which came highly recommended by someone else, according to her they must of changed the recipe and it wasn't as nice. I still ate it though.

Oh thanks Heavybee, I'm totally in awe of you, how can you not put on weight on holiday? Hi everyone, have just returned from my hols, ate and drank loads, thoroughly enjoyed myself in the process. I've got my weightwatchers hat back on today, will see what damage I've done on my weigh in on Thursday. I don't regret one mouthful of it though.

How are things Tortoise? Great news Furball

HeavyBee · 19/08/2008 13:32

Well done Furball! See, you're just in the habit of eating less these days - none of us would ever have thought of having small slices of birthday cake before, would we? So of course you're still losing weight, congratulations!

Oh, Smalline you're so nice - I don't put on weight on holiday as we can't eat out much being an entire family of problematic eaters. I'm so pleased you had a good time! So did we, but now it's back to my desk job and having cooked lunch in work which is lovely after making so many meals on holiday but not good for me. I'm a pound heavier this week but I'm hoping it'll go again now I'm thinking about it properly. Plus DH has been put on a low fat diet which should help us all...

Tortoise how are you getting on? I've been thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

Furball · 19/08/2008 16:41

thank you heavybee - you always manage to see the positive in me. Yes you are right about the small but did you notice the sices part? - I had a piece 3 days on the trot even if they were teeny.

Hello.
I am doing ok, thanks for asking.

Weighed myself this morning and i am 11st 9.
That means i have lost around a stone since i started having attacks again!

I am still struggling with food but not starving as much!

Furball · 21/08/2008 07:24

wow tortoise fantastic! well done you.

unfortunately I've gone to pot, have weigh in tonight but I must of gained. It;s so hard in the holidays and we are away next week so thats another week without a loss (it's been 2 months ) I really need to get into gear and shift this last stone before the end of september.

Furball · 21/08/2008 20:34

1 lb on I've been buggering about with the same couple of pounds for 2 months. will get my holiday out of the way next week, then thats it, I'm starting back at the very beginning where I was losing 3lb and being strict but no way hungry. everything will be planned and bought for, I've only another stone to go, so it's not too far away.

OP posts:
Smalline · 22/08/2008 16:51

Smalline furtively creeps in and whispers that she has put 4lbs on, then runs out again hoping no one has seen her.
Can't seem to stop snacking since my holiday, I want to lose at least another stone before christmas.

Furball · 22/08/2008 16:55

smalline - don't panic! I know exactly what you are going through, I've been suffering terribly. I really am going to get my holiday out the way and jump straight back into it the week I'm back. Race you to lose the stone?

Smalline · 22/08/2008 18:04

Good luck Smalline and Furball with losing that stone - I want to lose half a stone by Christmas too so I'll join you on that! Tortoise it's not the nicest way to lose weight but it's a silver lining with all that pain - hope things are beginning to improve and you are feeling more yourself.

Smalline · 29/08/2008 14:59

Was disappointed last night at my weigh-in, have lost just half a pound. However today I thought at least I am going in the right direction now, and hopefully I'll stay on track. Kids are back at school next week so lots more walking will be done. Good luck HeavyBee.

Furball · 01/09/2008 06:56

I'm back! Had a fab holiday, didn't go too mad but still must have put on. Have jumped back on the SW plan yesterday and also tried to go running yesterday but as I haven't been for 10-12 days didn't get very far. tis all steps in the right directtion though.

Welcome back Furball - so pleased you had such a good holiday! Back to the determined weight loss now that school is starting and lazing around the kitchen nibbling is not an option. A friend has decided she wants to lose weight too so there'll be no more flapjack with our weekly tea. This can only be a good thing! Smalline hope you are somewhere in sight of the straight and narrow but don't be cross with yourself because we will all get there eventually! Tortoise how are you managing? Thinking of you all and keeping fingers crossed.

Furball · 04/09/2008 20:17

1/2 lb on not sure how - apart from the most amazing hot banana/toffee/waffle pudding and ice cream last night! which was deffo worth it!

Bought a bread maker today, cor the bread is fantastic, well I had to have a slice, lets hope we can keep it at that

good luck all, dare I say only a few months til the end of the year stuff......

OP posts:
Smalline · 05/09/2008 10:49

Hats off to you Furball 1/2 lb on after a holiday is, in my opinion, fantastic.

1/2 lb off this week, would have been more I'm sure, if I wasn't hormonal, feel like I've been carrying an extra lb on each boob this week. Hopefully the scales will be very kind to us all next week.

Furball · 11/09/2008 20:18

only gone and lost 4 1/2 blooming pounds aint I? I know I was going to try but wow!!!! only 11 1/2 pounds to my target.......

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 11/09/2008 21:01

Furball that's just fantastic! I'm so pleased, you must be feeling so good. Well done! Wish I could say I'd done the same but nothing much has happened here - the children are back at school and me running about like a mad thing has been entirely counteracted by the buns and cake. Sigh. Why did I buy delectable saffron buns? Of course I was going to eat them, who was I kidding? No one else likes them....

Good luck to all of us in the struggle.....

Smalline · 11/09/2008 21:39

Wow Furball you have done yourself proud, give yourself a great big pat on the back.

Well I lost 1lb this week, I am now ready to lose the next stone. 2lb would be great this week, that will take me back to my pre-holiday weight, can't believe i'm still struggling to lose that. Anyway good luck one and all.

Furball · 19/09/2008 10:39

put on 1 lb (boo hoo) not quite sure how, just think I got cocky after last week. I even had absolutely nothing naughty on my birthday! or in fact all bloody week. did have fish and chips on saturday, but still....will keep in inline
