Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

well done smalline - That is good news

I'm trying so hard and getting no-where. My lastest (I Know!!) thing is Paul Mckenna.

Rules = eat when you are hungry not when the clock says, eat conciously, eat what you like, stop when you are comfortably full.

I've been doing it for a week, been eating teeny portions of healthy stuff (have a small plate) been totally full, took 6 days to lose 1 lb. then have probably blown it the weekend. [sigh]

Good thing is, I don't wolf a plate down with out realising, I'm eating slowly and tasting my food, which is great.

My friend has lost over a stone in 3 weeks now on lighterlife - hell, but results!

Nothing to report this week, no loss, but no gain either.

1lb off is very good Furball, better than it going on, how is it going this week?

Furball · 13/10/2009 09:53

I'm surprisingly full for such small plates worth. Takes me ages to eat and at least I enjoy it, rather than scoffing it down.

Don't know about loss, haven't been on the scales.

Here's to a good loss for all this week!

Yes it's amazing how often we sit in front of something, be it the television, computer or something else and eat (I'm doing it now), most of the time we just shovel the food in, a bit naughty really, we should take the time to savour what we are eating, then we would probably find that we don't need to eat as much as we do, our brains would have enough time to say 'hey that's enough your tummy is full, don't eat anymore' and eating wouldn't be so much of a habit, it would be to refuel ourselves. I might try that one day.

Another llb off this week.

Hello.
Haven't been able to get to WW for a few weeks. Wish there was one closer so i didn't have to rely on a friend taking me.

Also had some pain like gall stones pain. Dr said maybe acid so i have some tabs to try. Means i haven't been eating very much though! Hopefully it will help.

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 31/12/2009 17:16

Happy new year fellow lardy ladies.
How are we doing?
I was doing ok until christmas! Now feel fat and bloated. Have been over eating terribly! And about to have a huge roast with pud.

So is anyone with me? 2010 has to be our year. I have been on and off this thread since i joined MN quite a few yrs ago!!! This year i want to do better! Realistically i want to tone up somehow and lose at least a stone and a half.

Furball · 01/01/2010 08:59

Happy new year girls!

Glad you resurrected our thread tortoise. I really need to get going. I seem to have gained the 2 stone I lost 2 years ago

Am starting big time Monday - not quite sure with what, but something will be better than the 'out of control' I am now.

I know what to do, it's just a case of sticking to the darn thing.

Trouble is, healthy food is soo tasty (and I know that) but it never seems to be number one option!

Hello ladies, Happy New Year to you, thanks for reviving this thread Tortoise.

A new decade, a new me! I need to do something as like Furball, I have put all the weight back on that I lost 2 years ago, I can't face weighing myself at the moment.

I want to try and lose weight without going back to WW, I've done it before, I can do it again. My plan of action come Monday is, drink at least 1 glass of water a day, eat at least 2 pieces of fruit a day, no alcohol during the week (weekends only).

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 01/01/2010 12:01

Hello
Would a new 2010 thread be good or are we happy to stay on this one?

I already drink loads of water so i have one positive so far! lol!

Sooo much chocolate still to eat which isn't good.

More fruit a day would be a good idea for me too. Some days i don't have any fruit or veg!

Buying a new hand blender tomorrow and plan to make soup more often.

Which day is going to be weigh in day? I have no idea what i weigh at mo!

Smalline · 01/01/2010 13:05

I'm happy to go for a new thread, new start and all that!

My favourite soup Tortoise is roast dinner soup, whatever is left over from Sunday's dinner, roast potatoes, parsnips, vegetables, meat, put in a saucepan, cover with water and cook for approx 20 minutes, season to taste, then blend, mmmm yummy, that's what I usually have on monday for lunch.

Monday is not a good weigh day for me, Friday or Saturday is probably the best for me, but I'm easy, I'll go with the flow.

Tortoiselookingforwardto2010 · 01/01/2010 15:34

OK, will start a new thread.
