Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

tortoise I know we don't know each other properly so to speak, and we probably live at opposite ends of the country, but, is there anything we can do to help you?

Would it help if you wrote down here everything you ate? to help you be aware and have to admit to others what or how much you are eating thats causing you troubles?

I don't know, but if I and smalline can help in anyway, please say. We have both struggled with losing weight too so can understand.

smalline - yes cous cous my own [proud] I chopped into small pieces, aubergine, courgette, mushroom, red pepper, handful of whole cherry tomatoes and red onion (think thats all?) chucked it in a roasting pan with a drizzle of olive oil and in oven for 30 mins

I boiled up 150 gr of plain cous cous with 1/2 a veg stock cube - mixed it all together and then chucked in some crumbled feta.

Voila - one really scrummy, tasty, healthy side dish

Yes Tortoise, Furball is a lot better at putting things into words than I am, but just to let you know we are here for you.

Another lb left me this week (that's 3 in all now), it didn't want to leave, but I was determined, I told him that I no longer had a home for him (well not a comfortable one anyway), it reluctantly left, hopefully never to come back. I'm sure it will find another home in no time.

Smalline · 04/05/2009 10:27

I've earnt an extra 800 calories today by doing 70 mins of Tae-Bo

I'm going to try your cous-cous recipe this week Furball, but I've cheated a bit and bought some frozen med vegetables.

Smalline · 08/05/2009 10:54

Please tell me that I am not doing this by myself now! where are you Furball & Tortoise?

I couldn't weigh myself this morning, bloody batteries went on the weighing machine

Smalline · 09/05/2009 07:52

2lbs off this week.

Furball · 09/05/2009 07:59

you might be a little bit by yourself smalline fabbo 2lbs, well done!

I've gone abit awol the last few weeks. But, I have this morning gone back to foodfocus in an attempt to try and stop me eating everything except the kitchen sink.

OP posts:
Furball · 09/05/2009 08:00

OP posts:
Tortoise · 09/05/2009 17:46

Thanks you two.
I have had a bit better week this week. But not weighed myself yet. Need to get back on top of that. Haven't been on the wii or anything either. Had no motivation!

Will try and pop back to thread more often.

Smalline · 09/05/2009 18:36

I haven't tried it yet Furball forgot to buy some cous cous, will try and remember to get some this week.

I'm very glad to hear from you both by the way.

Furball · 09/05/2009 19:30

made a superb carrot cake today, which is not that naughty

also went horse riding this morning which was really fabbo, very enjoyable way to exercise.

OP posts:
Tortoise · 09/05/2009 19:39

Thanks for recipe. I have bee meaning to make carrot cake for ages.
Horse ridig sounds fun too.

Smalline · 16/05/2009 12:22

I tried the cous cous yesterday Furball, was lovely, had it with lamb shanks. Will certainly be adding that to my menus from now on, may tweak it a bit for the kids, put different veg in.

Have been a bit naughty eating wise over the last couple of days, nights out with the girls, family parties etc. so have decided to give myself a week off. I'll be back to tracking on monday, have been keeping up with the exercising though, so that is one good thing.

Thanks for the carrot cake recipe Furball, will try that one soon, maybe for our 10th wedding anniversary at the end of this month.

Smalline · 17/05/2009 11:28

I had a really strange dream last night, dreamt that I went to a slimming club and weighed in at 15 stone, I wonder what that was all about!

Tortoise · 18/05/2009 13:41

Hi smallline .
I am actually in a positive mood today. And thinking carefully before i eat and waiting until i am hungry. Will it last longer than 1 day though?

So far i have had
Crunchy nut clusters and SS milk.
2 small pieces of choc cake(2 made one normal size piece!)
Ham and cheese spead sandwich, white bread, no butter.
And 4 strawberries.

Spag carbonara and veg for tea.

And maybe a banana later if i can find any in local shop which aren't green.

Mewith3littleones · 18/05/2009 14:51

I have been reading this thread for a long time. I was hoping it would stop me eatting food but when someone posts yummy food it not helping lol

Tortoise: Green bananas is the best way to buy them. They will last longer before they start going brown and yucky! I got some on Friday which have now gone yellow and ready for eating. You can eat green/just turning yellow bananas as well. It is also is the best time for using them in fruit salads

This talk of food I`d better leave my money and cards at home or I will be buying food to eat on the way home from picking up the kids.

Tortoise · 18/05/2009 19:47

Hi Mewith3littleones .
I agree about the bananas but if i want one tonight it needs to be yellow. I really hate them when they are still hard lol.

Carbonara was nice. Used sausages chopped up instead of bacon.
Had an ice cream afterwards.

Also did 1 hour on the wii fit plus jogged on and off while walking my greyhound. He has had 3 walks today which is very unusual. As well as at least 4 miles walking doing school runs.

Furball · 19/05/2009 06:58

I seemed to forgotten I'm 'on a diet' which i suppose is good for the brain but bad for the hips

have made more cakes - A cheesecake which had a whole pot of double cream in as well as other goodies and then I made a sticky toffee pudding which was devine [licky lips]

gonna make a huge fruit salad today and have that for pudding today.

OP posts:
Tortoise · 19/05/2009 11:09

Mmmm cheese cake and sticky toffee! Naughty Furball!

Still feeling positive.
Just doing some house work then plan to go on the wii fit again. Easier during the day. Evenings i am just to knackered to do it.

Was watching Paul McKenna on living tv last night. Going to try and put his 4 rules into practice too.

Furball · 28/05/2009 08:43

coooeeeey! - anyone in?

I'm stil awol, I'm in one of those really silly brain patterns where you wake up every morning and say I'll start this diet today then forget by 9.30

still in size 14's but god they're tight. Must Must Must start today..........(see if my thoughts can last til tea time)

how is everyone else?

OP posts:
Smalline · 01/06/2009 12:36

Well I'm back, a couple of kiloooooos heavier but hey what the heck, I haven't been anywhere, just relaxed for a week or so, it doesn't take long to put the weight on does it.

Now the kids are back at school, I need to get back into my 'eat sensible, exercise regularly' routine and the weight will drop off sloooooowly. Dread to think how much weight I am going to put on over the summer holidays, I had better start planning now, I don't want to be a stone heavier when the kids go back to school.

Hope everyone is okay.

Furball · 03/06/2009 07:19

well I've started SW again, not classes but with another serial SW dieter! I go to her house every monday evening whilst my ds is at beavers so we will weigh there (I've put on a stone since end of nov ) yesterday was fine, heres hoping I can stick to it for about 6 weeks and loose that stone.........

I haven't told anyone else (not even DH!)

OP posts:
Smalline · 04/06/2009 18:37

That's a very good idea Furball, my sister has done that for the past 6mths or so with one of her neighbours, the person who loses the most weight, gets £5 (about the price of a class) from the other person, it has helped to keep her motivated. I hope it works for you.

mistressmiggins · 06/06/2009 07:32

Can I join in?
I am meant to be doing SW and have even paid for 6 weeks in advance but not been for 3 weeks cos been eating chocolate etc I really must try harder especially as I have a wedding coming up & a lovely dress I cant get into!

Furball · 06/06/2009 07:49
