Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

2lbs off this week I now weigh 12 stone.

Furball · 17/04/2009 08:15

OP posts:
Smalline · 17/04/2009 18:21

You're on Furball.

Tortoise · 17/04/2009 23:29

Bloody battery has gone in my scales.
Forgot to look at the weight bit on wii fit after doing body test.

But i have done about an hour a day on wii fit. Today i did 30 min step, lots of hula hooping and a few other bit!

Now i just need to control what i eat and i might get somewhere.

Furball · 21/04/2009 08:12

hows it going?

I had a really terrible day yesterday - managed to demolish a whole bag (large as well) of those tyrell parsnip/beetroot crip things with nearly a days calorie count in the bag

OP posts:
Smalline · 21/04/2009 14:47

It's not going too bad thanks Furball, I celebrated my weight loss a bit too well on Friday & Saturday, why do we do that? Had a few too many slices of lemon and chocolate chip cake on Friday, then on Saturday I had a chocolate binge, once I started I couldn't stop, there are still too many easter eggs in the house.

I got back on track on Sunday, and have been okay since.

I picked the kids up for home lunch today, we had a picnic in the park, they had sandwiches, I had raw vegetables dipped in humous, lovely!

I'm going to fit in some exercise when the kids are in bed tonight.

Furball · 22/04/2009 06:45

11 stone 12 lbs this morning! taadaa!

OP posts:
Furball · 22/04/2009 06:48

glad you are back on track smalline

tortoise how are you doing?

have you both seen www.foodfocus.co.uk it's been posted alot on MN at the moment. It's a calorie counter thingy, so you log everything you eat and it tells you your calories for the day, tis very good and quite fiddly to enter every last morsel, so stops you nibbling!

I am very proud of myself went to a friends last night and we always have loads of nibbles and pizza, last night I resisted and had 2 cups of tea!

Smalline · 22/04/2009 11:08

Wow Furball fantastic news, you are really going for it aren't you! well done you.

I was tempted to weigh myself this morning but resisted the urge, was scared that I might not like what I see, and it would put me off for the next day or so (any reason to go back to my naughty old habits).

I'll have a look at that foodfocus website later when I have a bit of time thanks for that, sounds just what I need at the moment, I must remember to cancel my WW subscription too.

Off to picnic in the park with the kids soon, weather is just gorgeous isn't it.

Tortoise · 22/04/2009 13:53

Furball I am keeping up with wii fit excercise but not so good with food. Last 2 days i have had homemade soup for lunch.
But i made flapjacks and they are just tooooo scrummy!
You sound like you are doing well though.

Tortoise · 22/04/2009 13:55

meant to add i had joined that food focus site but found it too hard to put foods in. Took me ages to find what i had eaten on the lists plus home made stuff is even harder to work out.

Other than that it is a good site!

Furball · 22/04/2009 15:41

well I look on that as a positive tortoise cos it's taking me so long to enter my stuff, it's stopping me snacking!

OP posts:
Tortoise · 22/04/2009 17:43

Well, yes that's a good point. I just got frustrated and gave up lol!

Furball · 25/04/2009 06:04

11.10 this morning! I know you should only weigh once a week, but blimey, whilst I'm losing let me least have some pleasure

twas abit naughty yesterday, couldn't keep me mitts off some home made chocolate slab cake at the school disco, gosh it was gorgeous!

But thats all I've had all week. apart from a teeny piece of chocolate cake, but that wasn't nice so it doesn't count does it?

OP posts:
Smalline · 25/04/2009 09:07

That's right Furball it doesn't count if it isn't nice.

you've beaten me to 11.10.

I've lost diddly squat this week. Could'nt weight wait to weigh myself yesterday morning, was so excited getting on those scales, then my face fell, not even 1 ounce came off let alone a pound. Have only got myself to blame I suppose.

I'm going to try harder this week, and count everything that passes my lips. I'm using the foodfocus website, it's a lot better than WW's I love the charts.

Smalline · 25/04/2009 10:05

Couldn't not could'nt.

How are you doing Tortoise?

Furball · 25/04/2009 11:38

smalline so disappointing when that happens.

That food focus, site has really made me think about portion size etc etc. Lets hope I/you/us can stay motivated for a bit to get somewhere.

Been out for a 2 mile run this morning, normally I do laps of the village I live in, but dh suggested I run 1 mile somewhere which I did quite easily. It's also bumped up me cal intake for today - double bonus.

OP posts:
Tortoise · 25/04/2009 16:11

I am doing terrible with food as usual. Beginning to think i need help!
But am exercising more. Wii plus trying something new starting last night, when i take the dog for his walk i jog round the field while he wanders round or chases me! I managed nearly all the way round then walked round. Did the run part 3 times and walked it twice.
Dog was knackered too! lol!

Tortoise · 25/04/2009 16:12

Meant to add Furball well done on your loss.
Small Sorry you didn't lose. maybe next week,

Smalline · 26/04/2009 13:29

Thanks Tortoise sounds like you are doing really well with the exercising, and having fun too.
A friend of mine has got the 'Wii fit coach', she thinks it is really good.

Smalline · 29/04/2009 11:31

Right ladies how are we doing this week?

I am finding the Food Focus website soooooooo addictive. I am logging everything, and trying to keep within my calorie target. I was amazed how many calories I consumed at the weekend, but I'm trying to keep to 200 calories under my target during the week days to make up for it, iyswim.

I've exercised 4 times this week so far, looks good on my chart

What a find Furball thanks once again. I've cancelled my WW subscription, FF is better.

Furball · 29/04/2009 15:47

Gosh, where did that week go? haven't been on the scales, have been sort of ok although seem to be addicted to cous cous with roast mediterranean veg, really scrummy. Also have started on merrangues at only 58 cals, what a bargain!

Not been out running Monday or today

OP posts:
Tortoise · 29/04/2009 20:36

My jeans are getting tighter.
My name is Tortoise and i am an overeater.
Haven't had much time to go on the wii. Am shattered by the evenings.

Smalline · 30/04/2009 15:01

Oh Tortoise what are we going to do with you aye.

Cous cous with roast mediterranean veg, sounds really nice Furball, a low fat dish, do you make it yourself?

I bought some meringue nests yesterday, great treat for a sweet tooth

I like the jumbo caramel Snack-a-Jacks, 50 calories each, and about 3 times this week I have had a can of Heinz 'Big Soup' for lunch, chicken & Vegetable, or Beef & Vegetable, both under 220 calories, watch out though, there is a slight descrepancy, calorie wise between FF and what's printed on the can.

Tortoise · 30/04/2009 19:29

smalline I fear i am beyond help.
