Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

Furball · 20/01/2009 07:25

how we doing?

I've tried like hell this week and couldn't resist a pop on the scales - have lost 1 lb - it better turn to 2 by tomorrow lunchtime or I won't be happy. I also realise my scales are different [hopefully]

Erm accidentally on purpose missed my meeting yesterday, dd had her birthday party at the weekend, and, as you can imagine, there were lots of cakes & biscuits around, which sort of ended up in my tummy, it didn't help that AF is due so I feel like I could eat for England at the moment.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Furball good luck for tomorrow

Tortoise · 20/01/2009 12:47

I am doing terrible! The last few days i have been pick pick pick at food all day and not good foods either!
AF arrived though so might be down to that.
My OP is meant to be on the 28th so things have to change!

Furball · 21/01/2009 14:13

lost 2 1/2!

That included me having a masooove jacket potato with smoked salmon and cream cheese before I went because I couldn't face missing lunch (meetings are at 12.30pm) and no way could I wait til now to eat.

just chomping on a WW toffee bar now - scrummy!

OP posts:
Smalline · 22/01/2009 12:57

Jacket potatoe with smoked salmon & cream cheese sounds delicious Furball, I must try that. I'm having dry fried sliced mushrooms mixed with 'herb garden' cream cheese (philadelphia) on toast for lunch, it's yummy.

Well done with your weight loss, how are you finding the plan?

Furball · 22/01/2009 13:16

that jacket with smoked salmon is quite a few points mind but very nice.

The plan is OK actually, I am hungry quite alot and struggle for snacky things. have decided if hungry mid morning to have a bowl of shreddies as they are filling yet quite low in point much better than a teeny ww cake bar for the same.

I made a curry last week with curry paste - twas nice but have bought ww tikka masala sauce to see how that is.

My whole fridge and cupboards is completely stocked with WW stuff they are deffogetting their monies worth out of me

OP posts:
Smalline · 23/01/2009 14:41

I'm tucking into a WW lemon cheesecake yogurt at the moment, quite nice actually, but I only bought them because they were on special offer at Tescos, ooh and I've tried their belgian choc slices, delicious but tiny.

Furball · 23/01/2009 18:26

I had the belgian chocolate things - was nice but like you say small.

last week i had the date and walnut slices as well but felt I had to have 2, as they are sooo small.

This week I have caramel shortcake (yummy) and carrot cake. (not tried yet)

I put the ww snack/crisp multi-pack things back from my trolly as I would only eat them noticed today that morrisons are doing them for £1b and they also had torilla chips for 1 point!

OP posts:
Furball · 24/01/2009 18:57

lol just noticed my typo £1b blooming expensive crips

had the WW tikka masala sauce [bleugh] yucky twas. I did it with free veg and it wasn't good. Much prefer pataks paste.

OP posts:
Furball · 24/01/2009 18:58

meant free veg to make a veggie curry [I'm not, but don't like wasting points on meat ]

Right I've gotta start tracking again, I've been faffing around for the last 2 weeks and have put on 1lb.

I've got some barley & split peas boiling at the moment for tonights dinner, going to make some kind of stew with yesterdays left over roast chicken, leeks, carrots swede & potatoe, I've never cooked barley before so I hope it turns out alright, might put a dumpling or two in as well.

Furball · 26/01/2009 20:18

I use pearl barley in stews, it thickens it and gives a creamy texture/taste tis lovely.

OP posts:
Smalline · 26/01/2009 20:57

Stew was yummy, I didn't bother with dumplings as I didn't want to waste my points.

I've just done one of Billy Blanks Tae-Bo dvds and have earned myself an extra 6 points for today, choccie biscuits and a cup of coffee coming up .

Furball · 28/01/2009 14:48

3lbs! - just need to keep my head down and keep going - only another 13lbs to go to target.

Can recommend the WW rice pudding (told you I am their best customer! even dh commented the contents all seems to be WW stuff )

Smalline · 28/01/2009 18:24

Fabulous news Furball what a result! I am so chuffed for you

Furball · 03/02/2009 06:12

not so hotso this week

I've struggled this week not gone mad but just haven't written it all done and worked out the points. just thought thats x amount in my head and I' bound to have under estimated.

I'm hoping to have lost 1/2 lb at least. though my scales say not.

How are you smalline

and where's everybdy else?

Smalline · 03/02/2009 21:17

We had so much snow on Sunday night, the view was so beautiful first thing Monday morning. Our schools have been shut the last 2 days, they'll be open tomorrow. Myself & the family have had a great time playing in the snow, making snowmen and snowangels.

I didn't make it to the weigh-in yesterday, hopefully I will next week. I thought I did really well last week, but I had a little glitch yesterday (1 lemon slice, 1 chocolate muffin followed by apple pie & hot custard), I'm going to have to be like a saint for the next week or so to make up for it.

Furball · 03/02/2009 22:00

we have snow but the school is still open - felt sorry for ds as he did have a play til dark yesterday outside, but would of been better to go sledging. It's far healthier iMHO that kids do that.

I weighed this morning and have put on 2 will wait and see tomorrow. I wouldn't care but I haven't been 2 lbs on bad.

OP posts:
Furball · 04/02/2009 14:04

1/2 lb on - not surprising, really. just goes to show I need to track

have set challenge with my neighbour as we both need 2lb for our 1/2 stone.

OP posts:
Smalline · 05/02/2009 13:04

Commiserations Furball, still, you know what you've done and how to rectify it, so good luck for next week.

Tortoise · 05/02/2009 13:13

Hello .
I had my gall bladder removed last Wednesday.
I have been snacking and doing very little all week and put weight on but am not going to worry about it until i am feeling less sore and back to my normal self!

How is everyone? We have had snow for a change. Not much over night so schools were open today.

Furball · 05/02/2009 14:20

nice to hear from you tortoise - glad the ops out the way. Can you eat almost anything now?

OP posts:
Tortoise · 05/02/2009 14:24

Hi furball Yes i can eat anything now. Not exactly a good thing for some one who is really bad with food!

Smalline · 09/02/2009 18:13

Hi tortoise it's great to hear from you, hope things are getting better for you.

2.5lbs off this week which I am pleased about.

How is it going for you this week furball?

Furball · 10/02/2009 11:51

wow smalline - well done you!

I'm doing ok this week, have stuck to it like glue apart from last Wednesday evening when I managed to demlish a rather large bowl portion of nibbles round a friends house. so cut my points to 18 this week as I also haven't been running.

I bought WW frozen chocolate eclairs this week - for 1 1/2 points they are excellent value, very scrummy

tommorrow will tell....

I wanted to lose 2 this week as I'm in competition with my neighbour.
