Another Tuesday! although I won't be reporting hopefully with good news until Thursday night.

Right, also thought that starting a new thread every week for just us 3 was mad so thought we'd just have our own on going thread that makes it easier to look back on - is that OK with everyone?

Furball · 15/04/2008 07:42

should be a comma after reporting to make it read right.

HeavyBee · 15/04/2008 10:04

Furball, thank you, that's a good idea, I think we can manage to keep it in some kind of order with just us three. Well, I don't know why I think that, I can't keep anything in order, but you and Smalline keep it tidy and I'll just wander along behind spreading chaos and anarchy as I go.

Oh, yes, weight, nothing to report, I'm afraid. I seem to have stuck at 9 st 6lb for months now. But then it was 10 stone 1 for several years, and I'm much happier now that my clothes fit. I'd still like to get rid of half a stone, but I have to do it really slowly so it doesn't all come off my face first so that I look like a fat skeleton (if you can imagine what I mean).

Furball · 17/04/2008 20:30

another 1 1/2 lb off! so 8lb in 3 weeks

will be tricky week but hopefully can work round it. going to london for whole day tomorrow so wll need 2 x packed meals and also am off out for a mexican on monday so have decided to have veggie chilli

OP posts:
Furball · 17/04/2008 20:33

heavybee at the 'stuck at 9st 6lb' I'll never get down that low but would love to dream of being able to say that one day.

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 18/04/2008 22:45

Goodness, Furball I am completely green at the idea of losing 8lb in 3 weeks, that's magnificent. And yes, I know 9 st 6lb doesn't sound too bad, but I was about 8 st 6lb for twenty years and really don't enjoy being this much heavier. Well done with all the running, it really is impressive, because you're keeping going at it! Apart from exercising a bit every night and morning I'm a bit slothlike at the moment, just failing to keep the peace between DDs on their spring holiday and retreating to romantic novels in desperation.

HeavyBee · 18/04/2008 22:46

By the way, Furball, hope you enjoyed today in London - I love going there for the day but I love coming home again even more....

Furball · 19/04/2008 07:07

We had a fab day thanks heavybee a coach was organised by one of ds' teachers (we are half term ATM) so ds and I went and had a great day. we did the London eye which was really good, and not as packed as I thought it mght be.

HeavyBee · 21/04/2008 10:26

Smalline where are youoooooo? Yoohoo! I hope you're on holiday somewhere lovely and warm with delicious but strangely unfattening meals being put in front of you, your family all happy, and a pile of novels and a handy swimming pool at your disposal....

HeavyBee · 21/04/2008 10:26

Actually now I think about it that'd do nicely for me too, how about you, Furball?

Furball · 21/04/2008 12:04

I'm free!

yes bit of sun wouldn't go amiss, although ATM I don't mind that much as I can stay in my comfy jeans before I unleash the new me in an all new size 12 summer wardrobe!

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 22/04/2008 10:35

OK, I hate to do this, but several weeks off have taken their toll. I am a pound heavier. This is certainly because the computer DDs can use is in the kitchen, and we spent a fair amount of time there. So while they Club Penguined I made apple pie and raspberry crumble, and then I ate them. Simple and sad, hmm? But I'm back at work now and lunch is mostly salad, so with any luck the pound should be gone again next week. Good luck everyone, and stay out of the kitchen.

Furball · 22/04/2008 10:54

oh Heavybee - you sound really down. Look on the bright side, it's only 1lb no more. It's at the controlable stage, where with just a slight change it will banished forever by next week.

I went out for a curry last night and didn't do too badly, luckily I was driving so only had soda water. In fact lucky I hardly drink at all as I think thats where alot of Slimming World syns seem to end up being used. I'd rather save mine for chocolate

OP posts:
Furball · 24/04/2008 20:26

cooey - another 2 1/2lbs gone this week, thats 10 1/2 in 4 weeks! - I was aiming for a stone in 6, so lets hope I can keep it up.

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 25/04/2008 12:35

Wow, Furball, that's as much as I've lost in the several years I've been trying, and a bit more! That's wonderful. Congratulations, you must be feeling very pleased with yourself. Now, the big thing is to keep it off and not slide a bit, how can we help you do that?

Smalline · 26/04/2008 10:47

Great news Furball, I'm sure that you will reach your target of a stone in 6 weeks the way you're going.

Lovely thoughts coming from you Heavybee I wish I was on holiday, but the family are happy (at least for the moment anyway) so I'm happy, what more could I ask for.

Well maybe a little weight loss, I've neither lost or gained since I last posted, but I'm not complaining. Haven't been able to do much exercise recently, can't seem to fit it into my busy schedule at the moment.

Smalline · 28/04/2008 16:48

A new week, and new me. Managed to fit in some exercise today, I feel so much better for it.

Got myself weighed today having missed last weeks meeting, have lost 1lb, so 10.5 lbs in total.

People have started to notice the weight loss now, was told that I looked 'fitter' today

HeavyBee · 29/04/2008 12:53

Well done, Smalline, that's good news! Much better than me - I am no heavier this week, but I didn't manage to shift last week's extra pound which I had hoped to do. It's nice when people start to notice, isn't it?

I have discovered that one of the problems is that I spend more time in the kitchen these days because the computer DDs can use is there, and I like to lurk in a mildly supervisory way. So I eat because I'm there. Hmm.

Good luck for the rest of the week, you and Furball!

Smalline · 30/04/2008 21:07

Thanks Heavybee. Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in Furball

Furball · 01/05/2008 20:34

lost 1/2 lb [glum] - have stuck to it like glue but haven't run for about 10 days due to gribbly cough - am have been on steroids for 2 days, so I can only blame that concoction.

Set target for next week of 3 lbs as sooooo want to get to a stone in the 6 weeks so far. and am heading out running again at 8.30am.

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 01/05/2008 22:11

Don't be sad, Furball. With all that against you you still managed to lose weight, you should be proud of yourself! I'm proud of you, anyway. Good luck with your target, but don't fret if it takes 8 weeks instead of 6. You'll get there. Hope the cough goes away and enjoy the run!

Furball · 02/05/2008 06:00

I know - I know I had odds against me HB

My True target is just under another 2 stone away

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 06/05/2008 09:47

It is very embarrassing but I have put on another pound. I really do want to fit my clothes again properly and all of the ones which fitted a couple of months ago are feeling a bit tight now. I obviously don't have the right frame of mind. Better luck to everyone else and I will really work a bit harder at Just Saying No.

Furball · 06/05/2008 14:16

HB don't be embarassed - it's easy done. Hopefully sunshine will make us all feel better. I've even got my flip flops on today, so it must be summer.

I finally got back to running this morning and am planning on going tomorrow and thursday just to give the SW scales a kick up the jacksey. Am now off the steroids, so we'll see. Have done no damage diet wise AFAIK - I even refused a pudding at the MN meet up on Friday, I was the only one out of 10 and just ordered a pot of tea Halo To be honest I did go with the intention of having a pudding but couldn't see one on the menu that was really worth the consequences.

OP posts:
HeavyBee · 06/05/2008 15:02

Thank you "Furball", I feel comforted. I must say I feel inclined to garden instead of sit in the kitchen when I get home, sunshine is a big help! I'm glad you're back to running, it must make you feel better immediately. And well done for avoiding pudding! I did it by default today as there was nothing except fresh fruit at lunch, so I had that, but I was just longing for rhubarb crumble....

Furball · 09/05/2008 07:03

another 1 1/2 lb off! so only another 1 2/2 to go for my first stone - which I will have done in 7 weeks!
