Thoughts needed! I have covid brain fog so didn't think it through. When I wound my pen today there wasn't a full dose left in it. So I have no idea what went in, I would guess at least half a 0.5 dose as it wasn't a tiny amount.

My next pen is a 1.0. I'm not sure what to do. I could take a 0.25 dose out of my 1.0 pen, so I would end up absolutely maximum 0.75 if somehow i had got the full 0.5 then?

at worst I would be going slightly up the dose a few days early As I was late taking this by 2 days.

This isn’t going to be a long term solution ❤️

as someone who lost 2 stone and maintained easily I’d focus on reframing your habits and just eating smaller portions, being active and eating healthier food (though I agree Ozempic does make you want to eat beige! I live off two slices of toast at lunch and a latte in the morning wt the moment😂)

i have a theory now ive just taken my 4th 1mg shot which is working wonderfully - whether it just takes a bit of time to bed in? The first two weeks I didn’t feel hugely effective on 1mg but this week the weight is falling off and I just don’t want to eat anything at all! So - keep going those on week one, I think it does take time

Flatleak · 24/01/2024 19:22

Was this your 4th 0.5 dose but there wasn't enough? In which case you need to raise that. But yes if you're ready to move up take some of your next pen as otherwise the jump will be too big

I'm in a bit of a muddle now, a good reason not to muck about with dosing. I took a smaller dose the first time I did 0.5 as it was over Christmas and was worried about side effects. So I took something like 0.35 Then 3 weeks of 0.5. So I've taken whatever is left. Which was probably something like 0.3 as there may have been a little extra.

Starlightstarbright2 · 24/01/2024 23:02

just a question

I have took 3rd dose on 2nd month of 1 mg . I am finding longer I am on this the more my site is stinging when injecting and afterwards .

anyone have the same . I tried my thigh today for a change still stinging an hour later

whoathisisheavy · 25/01/2024 10:06

Week one on .25 and I've lost 3lbs. No side effects that I'm aware of but I've had my period (in fact it came on 4 days early, the day after I had my first dose) so a bit difficult to tell. Had a bit of a funny tummy and constipation but I get both around my period anyway. I'm calorie counting and fasting 16:8 but the fasting has gone out of the window this week, along with intentions of upping my step count! Managed to keep a rein on the calories though and I've definitely felt less hungry.

Onwards and downwards! 🤞🏻

Gingerlygreen · 25/01/2024 13:27

@PanettoneSoprano Tiredness can be a side effect especially within the first few days of taking your shot, your cough won't be helping either.

I take a multivitamin, Vit D, Biotin and Folic acid every day.
I'm not taking a specific brand I just buy more from whichever supermarket when I run out.

dorismafaldine · 25/01/2024 16:34

I keep seeing things about people counting clicks, anyone else not done this as there wasn't anything about it in the instructions? I turn the dial to the correct dose and once it hits zero (when the clicking is happening) I count to 6 slowly and remove the needle as instructed in the manual. Wondering if I should be counting clicks with my next pen.

Striving4Better · 25/01/2024 17:01

@dorismafaldine Just keep doing what you're doing. You're doing the right thing.

Counting clicks is an unofficial "trick" if people want to take a smaller dose than the pen is supposed to deliver. For example, people have a 1mg pen, but want to take a 0.75 dose.

Ohh I see, thanks!

At work today it was a woman's last day. She brought in a full on buffet and set it up on a desk by me. Didn't bother me at all, zero interest. Really nice not to have to spend the day failing to resist, which would have been me on any other weight loss plan.

@Gingerlygreen
Okay thanks, I will find a multivitamin and start taking that to see if it helps.

I actually felt a little better today after having a bigger breakfast and lunch than usual. I didn't fancy any dinner in the end, and it made me wonder if I've been suffering from low blood sugar during the day.

Gingerlygreen · 25/01/2024 22:41

Is anyone getting sore skin?
The backs of my arms feel like they're sunburnt, even my jumper sleeves brushing against them hurts.
I've read on a Facebook group that it can be a side effect and wondered if anyone has the same and has found something that soothes it.

The skin looks fine and isn't red, it just hurts and I can feel it spreading to my forearms too.

Glycerin suppositories are your friend

PanettoneSoprano · 26/01/2024 08:45

@Gingerlygreen Not sore, but itchy arms and legs, especially at night.

tinker2190 · 26/01/2024 08:56

Hi all,
I've just got a prescription for wegovy. I'm hoping to only use it for a month as a kick start to reducing my snacking, as opposed to a long term use for weight loss.

@Flatleak psyllium husk - there's a brand someone mentioned that includes a probiotic that I wanted to move to but can't remember. I've increased water, and fibre intake in terms of vegetables and whole grain in the diet. I also take a fibre supplement (fybogel tabs or a psyllium husk drink you can get from Holland and barratt) once/twice a day and I am still a little constipated 😱 but it is manageable. Others take prunes regularly.

Helene2019 · 26/01/2024 09:11

I had to come on here and celebrate a mini win! Today is the day I hit BMI 30. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Wondering how to celebrate later this evening, a go to pre-wegovy would be treat meal/food/alcohol but I don't want any of those 🤣.

AhBiscuits · 26/01/2024 09:30

Well done @Helene2019

Hi Flatleak,

I felt your pain.

I take 2 psyllium husk capsules in the morning and now also 2 senna tablets at night and the problem is much better! I am not 100% normal but am sooo much better.I also try to drink lots of water.

Hope that helps and good luck.

PanettoneSoprano · 26/01/2024 09:35

I made a BIG mistake.

I didn't feel hungry last night and couldn't be bothered to cook either so went without. But I did have 3 glasses of wine.

I felt a bit peculiar when I woke up this morning so had a couple of paracetamol with my breakfast. Then half an hour later I was very, very sick. And then I was sick again. And again. And again. 😫

I'm just about managing to keep sips of water down now. Never again.

PanettoneSoprano · 26/01/2024 09:42

Well done @AhBiscuits and @Helene2019 !! 👏

Jacci63 · 26/01/2024 09:46

So the weight is starting to shift......yay!!

SW 4/1 17st 10lbs
CW 25/1 17st 2lbs
GW 10 st 0lbs

Cannot wait to lose 3lbs and then I will be under the rotten 17's for the first time in a few years.

Wegovy just gives me confidence as I now know I will get there. The main reason I am doing this is that I suffer with a chronic back problem and am in pain 24/7. I met a friend for lunch yesterday, went to sit down and something not good happened in my back and I am now stuck in my bed, not quite what I wanted!

Side effects have not been too bad with the worst one being constipation but I am on a fairly good regime now and that is a lot better.

Good luck all.
