I really hate when it wears off. I was feeling great earlier today.
I had my 1.0 on Monday morning. I was fine earlier but now I'm starting to want a drink and start snacking :( It's a long time until Monday :(

witte · 01/02/2024 20:54

I moved to .5 on Monday and haven't found it as good for appetite suppressant as the .25 was, which is a bit of a shock

I've been properly hungry today but am getting filled up quicker which is a bonus I suppose.

Toppstileslover · 01/02/2024 21:15

So I definitely a year on (with 6 months off) am not having as such dramatic results on 1mg

I lost half a stone in Jan - not loads but mainly Xmas weight. Now I’m stuck on 13. Just not really coming down.

Annoyingly 1.7mg was sold out but I will up next month, hoped to stay on 1mg as it’s cheaper but aside from not wanting to drink just not feeling the effects so much

sooooo annoying I do really want to get 2 stone off! Just can’t stop eating and before I was so full I felt physically sick (and sometimes was sick)

has anyone heard about the Mounjaro or something one? Or taken it? It’s slightly different

will plod on - going to be super strict with diet this month and I can exercise again now my back is better

Jacci63 · 01/02/2024 21:58

Hi everyone,

Isn't it funny how we all experience different symptoms. I took my first 5mg on Monday and the appetite suppression is total and showing no signs as yet of reducing. I can eat at lunchtime but in no way can I have an evening meal and I do not eat breakfast.

I am going to delay my next jab until Thursday evening next week as Tues, Weds and Thurs I am out with friends and although I will not eat to excess, at the moment the thought of food turns me off so I would like to be a bit more normal next week!

Good luck all!

HolidaySwears · 02/02/2024 09:03

Feeling a little despondent today (day 2 after taking Weds noon). My appetite is back and the nausea barely lasted into Thursday.

I am so confused though. I've NOT started stuffing my face at all (I actually cut out all snacking on Monday before I got the pen on Weds) I've not snacked at all since my appetite came back, i ate a half sandwich both days and broth/protein for dinner, and I've walked all the nursery runs (45+ mins walking and pushing pram which I do every week anyway) but I've apparently put on over 5kg according to the Fitbit scales. I am starting to think they are broken because the weight fluctuations on them have been 5kg overnight at times and I don't think that's "water weight" affecting it. Even muscle doesn't build overnight like that or I'd be buff in days!

Oh well. I know that 0.25 isn't meant for results but as I am usually so susceptible to side effects I thought I'd feel more than this.

AhBiscuits · 02/02/2024 09:14

Bin those scales and buy new ones. You have not gained 5kg overnight, unless you've had an additional 40,000 calories that you've forgotten about!

It's only been a couple of days. The medication builds in your system over time. You need to give it a couple months before worrying that it's not working.

Scrap that. I've just gone and done a full recalibration of the scales and tried the set upstairs (cheap whirly ones)z I've actually gone and lost 5lb.

I don't feel it clothes and comfort wise quite yet but it's more than I've been able to lose in 6 months!!!

AhBiscuits · 02/02/2024 09:15

That's more like it 😄

Another 1lb off for me this week. I'm pleased that I've lost every week so far. I've never had that on a diet before.
Chip, chip, chip. I'll get there eventually.

I'm due my next dose Saturday. However I have flu so I'm not sure if I should delay it or not. Has anyone had covid or flu when taking wegovy? Did you delay or inject as normal?

You are totally right, unless I was competitive eating in my sleep there is zero way I've managed that gain.

I am going to ditch the Fitbit ones now anyway. They "work" now after calibration and I got an "accurate" weight but they have been utter shite and clearly can't be relied on. I am also going to try not to focus on weighing every day given I am starting today lifting heavier dumbbells and kettle.

Gingerlygreen · 02/02/2024 11:23

@tinker2190 I've just got over what I think was the flu, I've been on Wegovy since November so didn't want to come off and have to start again.
I did delay my dose though and did it after 11 days because I couldn't face the side effects on top of how poorly I was feeling.

Wow.....you are so nearly in the 11's ...well done!!

@HolidaySwears so glad to hear you sorted your scales and well done on your loss. The appetite suppression will come.

Take care all.

LemonKitten · 02/02/2024 13:03

Just checking in as I bought my first pen, due to arrive on Wednesday. A bit nervous about injecting, but hoping it will go OK.

whoathisisheavy · 02/02/2024 15:58

Third dose of .25 yesterday. I'm up by half a pound but I've had a rubbish week motivation-wise and pushed myself into eating unhealthy food when I didn't need it. I'm going to listen to my body this week and get back into better habits.

It really helps to read how everyone else is getting on. Onwards and downwards! 🤞🏻

witte · 02/02/2024 18:03

Honestly hardly any of the home scales are accurate. Bin them! Use your clothes as a guide

Welcome! I was nervous too but then just went for it and it was fine. Barely felt a thing 😀

Thanks, I'm not really bothered about needles, it's just the actually injecting MYSELF that makes me a bit nervous. Where do you inject yours?

AhBiscuits · 02/02/2024 21:06

I've always gone for tummy. No problems.

Hi, I get my wegovy through boots and am going to collect my next dose up today. Does anyone know whether I have to take the sharps bin they provided back to them? Or do I keep it etc..? and wait till it's full right up.

The one they gave me was massive so I'm keeping it, it'd be a bit weird to take it back now as there's only 4 rattling around in the bottom!

Kelsie78 · 03/02/2024 07:48

Yes you're right although mine was a little one but will hang on to it. Thanks @ProfYaffle

AhBiscuits · 03/02/2024 07:51

I order online. They sent me a sharps box with my first order only. I'll keep it until it's full.

Same. The only issue I've been finding as I went along is that there's now less of it and it's harder to grab a big handful to find a good spot 😂

Today is the start of week 12 for me.

Starting weight 84.5kg
CW 73.8kgs
Loss to date: 10.7kgs (23lbs)
Goal: 72kgs

This goal is still a BMI of 26 for me but I'll see when I get there whether it feels right to keep going. I'm top heavy due to big boobs and wide shoulders so will always have a higher BMI.

I'm stressing about today, I have lunch booked with friends at a VERY fancy restaurant and I genuinely don't think I'll be able for it. We were supposed to meet in early Dec but we both got ill so had to rearrange twice. And now I'm at the buildup stage where the Wegovy levels mean I physically cannot eat much anymore.
