Starting Wegovy this week

Brand new waiting for 0.25ml wegovy to be delivered today and will start it tomorrow.

i currently weigh 14’7 at 5’6 and would love to lose 4 stone!

anyone else brand new to wegovy and looking for a buddy/chat?

I did my second injection on Monday and it's already worn off, I'm starving right now 😄
Tempted to move up early.

I'd say if you're hungry have a meal, include some protein and healthy fat so it sarisfies you. Hunger isn't the enemy, nourishing our bodies is a good thing!

@AhBiscuits I only lost that much as I weigh so much! Will definitely be less next week but I'm happy with how it's going

I had lunch after this, which did help obviously, but still felt a bit hungry. My issue is that whatever I eat, my appetite exceeds my calorie needs. That's what got me here.

Has anyone found that the effects of the pen don't work as well the longer you're on it?

I'm in week 3 and had my jab yesterday but I'm quite hungry today, it doesn't seem to have suppressed my appetite at all like the first couple of weeks.
I've had my dinner but still feel hungry.

Only day two but I'm definitely hungry tonight. Logging calories on MFP and I come in at under 1800, so a slight deficit but definitely shouldn't be hungry. I know it's very early days though so will keep at it.
Have a cup of tea and a book to read so hopefully the hunger monster will quiet down overnight.

Btw, is anyone else using Numan? I notice they don't recommend calorie counting...I'm not sure if I trust myself enough to follow that advice.

I found this. I was looking forward to increasing my dose. I still managed to lose, but it was more willpower.

Just finished day 5 and I ate half my salad left from yesterday, a protein flapjack, an apple and some scrambled eggs. About 800 in total plus teas and coffees.

For context I'm a size 20 so this is definitely not my normal eat!

Maybe mine is still working a bit. Made toast for breakfast, ate one slice, a few bites of the second and didn't want anymore. That's never happened before.

I'm annoyed with Healthxpress because they have stopped delivering on a Saturday and the earliest day I can be at home for the delivery is Thursday. My first injection with the second pen will be due on the previous Sunday.

So I'll have a gap of 10 or so days instead of a week, which is annoying as I'm doing so well so far.

I’m a bit hungry today but I just walked past a mini donut stand and normally I would buy and treat myself. I could smell them but my mouth stayed dry and didn’t water and I didn’t buy any! Anyone else finding their mouth a lot drier?

I started Wegovy today. I've already lost 30lbs by eating healthier but the weight loss has slowed down and I thought a wee bit of help was in order.

First jab this morning, stabbed the palm of my hand before managing to get the needle into my stomach. Panicked thinking about the 5cm from belly button rule. Had to get the tape measure, 10cm, all good. Panicked again when all the clicking started. Thinking 'is it meant to be this stressful?'. Stabbed my thumb taking the needle off the pen AND AGAIN putting the needle back into the box. Thank the Lord I only need to go through this once a week 😂

Did anyone else feel really tired just after taking it? I slept for two hours straight afterwards. I wonder if I'm best taking it at night.

@LivelyBlake could you order it from somewhere else? I used Asda and it took less than 48 hours

I'm always tired on the first couple of days and it comes on pretty quickly, I think it's partly stress, I get anxiety before doing it.

Hi all, I did my third injection today, I think I am 9lbs down after two weeks, feeing loads better and a lot less stressed around food. My blood sugar also isn’t up and down like usual- amazing.

I’m also a bit tired - have had a few naps - and a bit fatty (sorry if tmi) but they are the only side effects really. I started at 16st11, now 16st 2. Target weight 12st.

@Fannyfiggs I was also tired for my first week - had loads of naps which I never do! I then switched to nighttime injections and haven’t been tired from Wegovy since.

How come you put the needle back in the box? Aren’t you supposed to put the lid on and dispose in sharps bin?

Do you think this would be suitable for someone who suffered with hyperemesis when pregnant? It was so severe that I was hospitalised all 3 times. In hospital it was explained to me that pregnancy dramatically slows down digestion and for me, this causes extreme nausea.
From what I’ve read, this has the same effect. But I don’t know if I’m misunderstanding. Thanks

I was very sick during my pregnancies, but feel fine on wegovy so far (had my second injection on Tuesday). Minimal occasional nausea, but really not bad.

I guess only way to know if it suits you is to try it - if that's what you want, you can always stop if you don't feel well on it.

@ChubbyFortySomething I was also sick every day of my second pregnancy but have felt ok on this (week 4) I have felt sick a few times, but as the week goes on I find I don’t. I don’t have my gallbladder though so wonder if it’s anything to do with that? It’s definitely manageable and my nausea seems to go away if I eat 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m in my fourth week of 0.25 and have found this week my hunger has been far more manageable and I feel like I can take or leave choc again… I wonder if the medicine has built up in my body a little bit now?

I'm looking forward to moving up to 0.5 though and hoping it really reduces the food noise again!

If it helps anyone, I get mine from pharmacy 2 u, super quick delivery and it’s one of the cheaper places to order £169….
