Life my thighs are precisely where I hold my fat. I was standing in a queue waiting for checkout to free up last Sat eve & there were 5 customers at the tills all women, all slim legs, I'm a pear shape for sure.

mrs take care of yourself now

Happier I am 5'8" and 12st in old money. I started at 14st 2lb. 😳

There is 2.2lb per kg.

Gensola · 12/01/2023 14:30

I also carry my weight on my legs, I have Lipedema and had liposuction on the saddle bags which has really helped, hoping to have the inner thighs and calves done this year, but it isn’t covered on NHS so it’s £££.

Unescorted · 12/01/2023 19:23

gen that sounds painful but given the stubbornness of my tummy rolls I could be easily tempted.

The gym is still rammed.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2023 20:30

Did the liposuction work Gen as in it stayed away?

Spinning tonight and it actually felt good

I know the conversion from working in butchers years ago but I still need Google to do it for me I can't visualise it until it's in stones & lbs Smile

I'd a takeaway - chicken kebab it was lush & I've no regrets. I just had fruit yogurt & granola for breakfast so that I'd be hungry for it & a scant chicken sandwich at lunch.

life yes it has stayed away from that area which is great as I was very self conscious of it. It has changed my whole shape from
very very pear shaped to more of an hour glass.

Happierwithouthim · 14/01/2023 11:39

Have a good weekend everyone Smile

happier I am the same in reverse. I cannot visualise imperial measurements. Not helped by having to have a good time to think about how many pounds are in a stone.

Gen I have learnt something new today. I assumed it all just went back on in its favourite places as soon as the crisps came out again.

I had a troughy day yesterday... At least I know that when I get to my weight goal I will have to keep an eye on things & it isn't going to be a free for all scoff fest. Much as I would like it to be. I have had a skinny day to make up for it today.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 14/01/2023 18:54

Thank goodness it's stayed off your legs Gen 😊
Happier we are having a takeaway tonight after a terrible day, sometimes it's just the only thing that will cheer everyone up 🤗
Life glad you enjoyed the spinning 😊
Unescorted it's all about balance you are doing so well 🤗

So I gained another 2 this week. Have had a word with myself and I’ve had a good couple of days since. Finally back to almost normal after my PT session. I know some pain is to be expected, but my legs were absolutely shredded to the point I was seriously considering calling in sick to work earlier this week. I work in a shop where one of our stock rooms is up 2 flights of stairs, so I’ve been in agony. PT messaged me to ask how I was feeling and I told him. Of course he said a bit of aching and pain is normal, but I had to say I cannot get to the point where I can’t do my job properly. Which he understood. I think it was lack of communication on both sides, and I’m feeling positive going forward.

A change I’ve made this week is upping my water intake consistently. I’ve got a lovely 2ltr water bottle and I’ve finished it every day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/01/2023 07:53

Pleased the lipo stayed off but you are right those doms are too much.
i went to the gym yesterday dbs I was rubbish, could barely finish lots of sets. Never mind Monday is a new session
took dc to see avatar so made 10k steps evening was snacks as watched movie, low cal for me (except a few chocolate coinsx5) but u tracked.

mrs sometimes only a takeaway will do and it’s 1 meal.

i can’t visualize any weight, I’m not a visual thinker

Gensola · 15/01/2023 09:51

As far as i understand it, liposuction removes all or most of the fat cells in that area so you can’t actually regain weight there. What has happened since I gained weight this year is that it’s gone into my tummy and calves and upper arms lol. So I still need to get on top of it. Somehow it feels better distributed now though so I’m still happy with the results. I’m due to have inner thighs and calves/knees done this year but it’s so expensive, not sure if I can afford it. The diseased fat and tissue from lipoedema can’t be lost through diet and exercise but I’ve plenty of non lipoedema fat to lose in the meantime 😂

booze is my downfall, then the snackies which follow. I have cut down loads but I think I need to accept that it’s a permanent change if I want to be lighter.

Unescorted · 15/01/2023 16:33

Cutting out alcohol has been a big part of my weight loss. I might re introduce it once I have got to my goal weight and stabilised it. But only for special occasions.

I am lucky I don't have any area that accumulates fat over other areas... I guess that is why it took me so long to notice how much weight I was carrying.

Still in the 76s but more consistently...

The gym was almost empty this afternoon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/01/2023 18:28

It’s chocolate for me thats empty calories, thankfully I’ve been avoiding it (and Aldi :) )

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/01/2023 06:13

I do need to sort weekends out as I’m not drinking enough and not tracking

CurlsandCurves · 16/01/2023 08:49

Day of activity for me. Dance fit and yogalates first thing. Then I’m going to fuel up with a good brunch before my next PT session. Also got the food shop to do later. But if I’m too knackered, that can wait until tomorrow.

@lifelongfrugaleer I know what you mean about weekends, it’s so hard to stay focused. Ive been working most Saturdays this month, just a short shift but I’ve found it helps me stay on track a bit better.

Happierwithouthim · 16/01/2023 08:58

curls doms definitely shouldn't be so bad that it interferes with your life.

Got a lovely walk on the beach in yesterday before the heavens opened, ddog was delighted with life Grin me not so much as I was a tad hungover. Made breakfast rolls for lunch and only ate a couple of bites, but by dinner time I'd got my appetite back and had a few slices of pizza and one of those chocolate puddings from lidl that go in the microwave and are inverted on plate.

Scales briefly went into the 13s on Sunday morn or under 90kg in metric, so that'll happen for real soon and would mean I'll have lost my first stone out of five Grin

Did a good shop yesterday evening while waiting for dd

I’m hovering at the same weight but definitely less bloated and starting to get definition in my arms. Stupid tennis elbow

Gensola · 17/01/2023 07:15

happier always exciting to enter a new bracket! I am weighing tomorrow.
I have classes only till lunch today and Thurs so am going to gym at lunchtime then will WFH on prep/admin this afternoon. Have started tracking on MFP which is the only way I’ve ever actually lost weight.

Happierwithouthim · 17/01/2023 08:15

I actually have no idea how many cals I'm eating at the moment because my appetite is suppressed on this drug and then some days I'm nauseous so eat small regular snacks on those days.

Maybe I'll track to see.

Yesterday I felt like eating rubbish but I only had a club milk bar, orange flavour & two butlers chocolates(which I've put in a high press so it took effort to get them!). I don't eat in my sitting room so when I go in there I'm less likely to snack

Muscle definition is sooooo cool. I am working on it too. I have refound shoulder and ankle definition.

Only 1.5 kg 3.3lb to my Easter Egg. I am finding my motivation has evaporated. It is odd... I am putting it down to the gym being crowded and the weather being pants.

lifelongfrugaleer · 18/01/2023 17:43

I’m struggling and I’m no where near your motivation unescorted, eating is in danger of spiraling
