I bought runners last Nov for when I'd start back running. The most expensive ASICS they had which weren't included in the sale Sad €190
I took them out yesterday to take with me for my weekend away.

I think you do need a new pair
Wow on the shorts happier, not just about the scales

I've eaten back all the calories and more from the gym today

Unescorted · 04/06/2023 19:57

They have another 7 miles in them.... Went out with a friend, met another on the way round so diverted onto her route before finishing ours. It was slow but I am back to my run length before I paggered my knee & stopped running for 5 years. Sore legs but nothing pulled or sprained.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/06/2023 20:24

Well done you. I sometimes wish I could still run
Got some new trainers today as innov8 have an outlet nearby

Unescorted · 05/06/2023 06:38

I keep looking at the new Inov8... The mudclaws work well on the ground here but they tend to be slightly wide for my heels. Good in winter when I have waterproof socks on.... Not so grand at this time of year.

Does the outlet shop have a online section.... DH got paid today so I might be buying.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/06/2023 07:03

I don't think they are online, only been open a couple of months

Unescorted · 05/06/2023 12:11

Ok.... I will see what I can find elsewhere. I get a discount at one of the running shoe specialists. They might have a bargain

Gensola · 05/06/2023 19:17

Have terrible period pains today so ended up working from home. Need a super early night. My clothes are too tight again but only a little bit so have time to claw it back. Would be nice to be back near wedding weight for holiday in mid July. Plus my friend’s wedding.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 08/06/2023 16:44

Afternoon everyone Smile
Am ok , not scoffing but finding it very difficult just wanting to eat sometimes Hmm
Gen hope you are much better now Flowers
Life l feel your pain re the eating Hmm
Unescorted hope you have bought your new runners Smile
Beautiful day here Smile

Unescorted · 08/06/2023 20:20

gen period pains are so grim. I hope you banish them quickly.

Mrs l did get them with 10% off and free delivery. I took them out for a run last night and they are super comfy... No blisters after 6k. The fit is really good. I was going to go out again today but did weights at the gym instead.

I watched a thing last night with Hugh FW and Steph McGovern about easy life style changes for healthy eating ... On BBC. It has a bit of a daytime TV vibe - I will dig out the name in a mo. It had an interesting thing about drinking peppermint tea, brushing your teeth or sniffing peppermint oil to stop snack cravings.... Apparently the strong smell/ taste distracts you from the cake.

Unescorted · 08/06/2023 20:26

Easy ways to live well..

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/06/2023 20:45

I will look at that
I've been down the upf rabbit hole

Unescorted · 09/06/2023 12:14

Me too.... It is so difficult to cut them out are my findings. I am not sure I am up to making my own condiments and all my own bread.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/06/2023 14:25

I going for reducing them and taking a pragmatic approach
And who has time to make ketchup other than Heinz (aldi cos I'm tight)

Unescorted · 09/06/2023 17:45

Back out running today... Just short of 6km and 220m of climb. It is very good at tucking wobbly bits in. The gym has been essential in strengthening my legs and core so I am not paggering myself. My knee and hip are both happy. Normally they aren't so I have to stop to recover....

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 10/06/2023 17:03

Oh l will have a look at that too life . Unescorted thank you 😊
Glad your Trainers were super comfy and you had 10% off excellent!! So good when all the hard work is paying dividends for you 👏👏👏
Hope you are ok now Gen 💐
Am ok here hanging on 😊
Have a lovely weekend everyone 😊

Happierwithouthim · 12/06/2023 19:35

Phew was worried that my gp would no longer prescribe ozempic to me as I'm not a diabetic as other local gp practices no longer do, she's just done me a 6 month prescription Grin

I've established a bit of a routine of malted wheats for breakfast, used to have this with protein powder in my team rh days, I've zero routine for dinners so I must get back on track with this.

Unescorted sounds like a good run was had.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/06/2023 21:05

Phew happier

I'm trying mindful eating, not tracking though but fed up with the spreading middle
I. Know the answer but I will settle Into new team first

Happierwithouthim · 12/06/2023 21:37

Sometimes I'm delighted with the fact that I've lost almost two stone other times disheartened when I see photos of myself.

I'm plugging away but not following any particular plan

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 12/06/2023 21:37
