All undone by pints of cider and steak pie . It’s a lifestyle not a diet

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/01/2023 17:35

Urgh machine hoggers anon were out in force’s

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 28/01/2023 20:30

Unescorted you would be most welcome 🤗

Gensola · 29/01/2023 08:26

mrs can we all come 😁
i haven’t lost a single pound, I know it is because I’m not tracking properly and not consistent enough with exercise. I need to get on it as am a bridesmaid at very posh wedding in July and need to look my best.

Unescorted · 29/01/2023 09:27

Gen is there anything we can do to help with operation July glam bridesmaid.

You say cider & steak pie....mine was Chinese takeaway. Today may involve cake...

I will have a better results if I get out of bed.

Gensola · 29/01/2023 09:58

unescorted I’m taking any and all suggestions! There will be 280 guests and a society photographer. Send help!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2023 14:36

Gym and dance aerobics today, food is never good on a Sunday

right Gen you are about the same as me to want to lose more, when is your dress fitting and work from there.

get your peloton spinning classes fitted in and 3x weights a week

get mdp to your cals from today,

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2023 14:38

It’s 22 weeks to 2 July. Even at 1 lb a week you can get back to your goal in time for dress shopping.

Go! And we are with you

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/01/2023 14:38

Btw 280 guests!!! Wow

Unescorted · 29/01/2023 19:13

You absolutely have this gen. It is 1lb/ 450g per week.

I appear to respond well to a planned routine.... If I don't have to think about it to decide what I am going to do then I don't have the opportunity to back out of what I am doing for the day.

I also do a daily plank while the coffee brews. It is only minute of my time but it reminds me that I am getting fitter. It also reminds me that I have come a long way and it would be a shame to let it slip. So if I am hungry before my 16 hours are up then I only have to remember as far as a few hours back for my dopamine and I don't want to ruin it all by scoffing all the cake for elevenses.

My third tip is look at how much is on my plate and reduce it by 25-30%. I have an issue with putting too much on my plate and eating it all even though I am full at the half way mark. Consciously taking it off is getting my head back to what is a normal serving size.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2023 06:16

I need to get back to it properly 140 this morning

Happierwithouthim · 30/01/2023 06:20

Official weigh day is tomorrow but sneak peek this morning showed 13st13.75lbs Grin

Yesterday included dominos followed by a 2 hour nap, I basically only got up to feed dog and cats & tell dc to go to bed, from 5pm Shock

Morning,

I need to get back on it after my birthday weekend. Which involved Chinese, kebabs, cream cakes and prosecco, eek!

Starting as I mean to go on with dance fit and yoga followed by a PT session this afternoon. Doing the weekly food shop in between so hopefully I won’t be tempted to buy any unhealthy ‘treats’.

Ive just read a DM article about a woman who turned her fitness around in her seventies, she looks amazing! Her Instagram is trainwithjoan, she’s lovely and very inspiring.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2023 21:09

I’ve just done a gym check in after 4 weeks
while the results are marginal definitely going the right way which is good
tracking food again as well

Unescorted · 01/02/2023 21:31

life I am finding consistency is working. The changes aren't huge day to day but if I look back at where I started I have climbed a mountain.

I have had a week of taking it a bit easier. I was on a plateau and my motivation had exited stage left. Topped off with a couple of days feeling ropey so I changed my routine and did more strength less cardio. It seems to have done the trick... I had a good session today. Having said that this last kg is being very stubborn.... grrrrrr

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2023 06:18

Last kg usually are stubborn but well done on mixing it up and getting back out there.

Unescorted · 02/02/2023 18:58

I am so annoyed by how awkward it is being.

In better news my waist is below the 80 cm flagged as a problem on the NHS BMI calculator website. I am also increasing my weights... 63kg on the core crunch thingy, 36kg on the lat pulldowns, . I have done so many crunches I have worn away a patch at the bottom of my spine.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/02/2023 20:28

Those are amazing stacks of weights,
you are in the territory of measuring and photos as the scales may not be shifting but your body is getting toned and lean

Unescorted · 02/02/2023 20:53

It is getting less wobbly in the core but still has a soft outer shell... Especially around the midrift still.

The bit I love is that I no longer have to think about getting up off the sofa, putting socks on while stood up, carrying heavy shopping in, ... All those things I used to have to think about before are now things that I do without thinking.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 03/02/2023 09:41

I hope everyone is ok forgive me for not catching up with everyone, been so busy 💐Hopefully now Mum is settled l can get on with looking after myself. Have got a list for Tesco shopping , am going to give SW a try , just need to be more organised.
We have been so busy with Mum's move to a residential care home that everything else has been sidelined. She's doing well and seems to love it there ☺️
Keep everything crossed lol 😆

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/02/2023 10:02

Pleased the move went well mrs and your Mam is settled,

i had a Gregg’s bacon role and it was lush and I’m full so no snacking

Unescorted · 03/02/2023 12:52

Mrs great news that your mum is setting in ok & loving it.

Life I so want a bacon roll now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/02/2023 19:46

It was fucking lush but made me thirsty
only achievement today is sticking to calorie, no nutrition though as Aldi choc
took up 400 of the begger
gym sat sun and mon thought

Unescorted · 03/02/2023 20:49

I hate to think how many calories I have had today. It started well... Lunch at 1:15 was a chicken &roast Vege leftovers salad with a light (minimal oil) dressing and my own body weight in lettuce. That kept me nicely full all day. But I have just troughed my way through a curry including a naan and a samosa. I wasn't even that hungry.... It was so nice. I will do an extra penance on the cross trainer tomorrow.

I am getting to a take it or leave it place with sweet things. I have always been super fussy with chocolate. I don't get the Dairy Milk love at all. I still do not trust myself to have crisps in the house & have to take detours around supermarkets to reduce the likelihood of me diving into the multipacks of Walkers.

My Klingon Kilo seems to be on its way ( not withstanding my curry today) .. 500g to guilt free Easter Egg. Then onto Mission Almost Impossible.

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 03/02/2023 22:19

AHH thank you Unescorted & life re Mum it's such a relief 💐☺️
